until the thread of 44424 1 sequence

It is a statement in Oracle to get those who have a sequence less than 44424 - indeed, until 44423.

Here is the documentation on the UNTIL clause:
http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/backup.102/b14194/rcmsynta065.htm#sthref1017

restore sequence 44424 archivelog wire 1 to the line of 44424 1 sequence

makes no sense.

One of these

restore archivelog sequence 44424 thread 1
restore archivelog until sequence 44425 thread 1

make sense.

  • Is it possible to restore DB from a backup obsolete?

    Hello

    Is it possible to restore DB from a backup obsolete? In the affirmative. How?

    Thank you
    Rajesh

    Catalog your backup again to restore. Please read the Sub paragraph.

    Cataloguing of the older files in the recovery catalog

    If you have copies of data file, backup or archive items writes to the disk, you can catalog them in the recovery catalog using the CATALOG command. When you use a recovery catalog, cataloguing of older backups who have aged in the control file allows you to use older backups during operations restore RMAN. For example:

    RMAN > CATALOG DATAFILECOPY ' / disk1/old_datafiles/01_01_2003/users01.dbf';
    RMAN > CATALOGUE ARCHIVELOG ' / disk1/arch_logs/archive1_731.dbf',
    ' / disk1/arch_logs/archive1_732.dbf';
    RMAN > CATALOGUE BACKUPPIECE ' / disk1/backups/backup_820.bkp';

    You can also catalog several backup files in a directory at a time, using the CATALOGUE START WITH command, as shown in this example:

    RMAN > CATALOGUE START WITH ' / disk1/backups /';

    RMAN lists the files to add to the RMAN Repository and guests of confirmation before adding the backups.

    Be careful when you create your prefix to CATALOGUE START WITH. RMAN scans all the paths for all the files on the disc beginning with the specified prefix. The incorrect prefix may include more files that you intend. For example, a group of directories/disk1/backups, / disk1/backups-year2003, / disk1/backupsets and/disk1/backupsets/test and so forth, all contain backup files. The command

    RMAN > CATALOGUE START WITH ' / disk1/backups ";

    lists all the files in these directories, because/disk1/backups is a prefix for paths to these directories. For only backups in the/disk1/catalog backups directory, the correct command would be:

    RMAN > CATALOGUE START WITH ' / disk1/backups /';

  • restored my time machine backup mac - restarts not successfully

    After virus/malware unusable safari, I used my 'time machine' backups to restore my entire system (10.10.5).  I had the "restore msg."

    By design, it restarts.  I get the apple logo and progress indicator, but the bar spend about a third of the way and restarting stops there.  I tried

    reboot several times with the same results.  I then repeated the procedure for restoring above with a backup taken a week before and got the successful restore msg

    but had the same result with the reboot.  Don't know what to do next.

    Starts in recovery (command-R) Mode and choose the option Install OS X. Have it reinstall the OS without wiping the drive. Who should make the drive to be bootable again.

  • Restore a hard drive backup time machine (how?)

    I've been Googling this and if you don't find a clear answer.  If you can point me in the right direction please do.

    I have a Mac Pro, and the system drive (a 850 Pro SSD Samsung I installed it a year ago) has failed.  At this point, I can't clone it, and the only recent backup I have is the Time Machine backup.  I have an old backup to clone (if all goes well bootable).

    What is the best way to install a new HD and restore from Time Machine backup?  All of the guides I can find mention using recovery recovery partition or on the internet, or which are options in this case.

    A proposal, it is something like:

    (a) in a way to format the new disk (starting from the bootable clone if all goes well?)

    (b) restart into recovery mode?  Will be (a) install the recovery on the new disk partition?

    I have also 4 readers installed in the Mac (now dead), I don't know if that complicates.  (System, data, and a clone of each.  The clone system is very up to date.)

    (I normally also note make backups with SuperDuper! but for a reason that has not been running on this hard drive for months.)  "And it's too late now).

    Thank you.

    (I'm on the latest version 10.10, not what it says in the signature.  The clone may be some 10,10 versions behind.)

    In particular, the directions of Apple are meaningless:

    OS X Yosemite: restore your entire system

    It is said in short:

    1. Replace the HD.  (Done, now there a disk not formatted instead of a system drive.)
    2. Make sure your Time Machine backup disk is connected and turned on... (of course, ok)
    3. Choose the Apple menu > restart.  (How do I?  There is no OS installed.)

    Etc., but if I followed these instructions I get no further than 2.  With the clone bootable in the computer, there just boots that and will not go into recovery mode (looks like the clone has no recovery partition).  So I'm stuck.

    Suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

  • Last update, iOS 9.2, eliminated the function "search" in the email, I used massively.  Tried to restore to a previous backup, 15/2, and 'research' does not return, always shows iOS 9.2 in my settings.  How do I return search function?

    The last update, iOS for iPad mini 4, 12.7 9.2 GB of capacity, has eliminated the search function in the email, I used very strongly.  Tried to restore to a previous backup, 15/2, and 'research' don't come back and always shows iOS 9.2 in my settings.  Yesterday, a new useful feature appeared, an entry 'return to mail' at the top left of the screen (Safari, at least), which now also seems to be missing. Siri, I don't want to bother with earlier, continues to display everytime I try to go back to the home page of apps/programs, is driving me crazy.  Except for limited iPad usage (mail, Safari for the links from emails, play music, some reading books mainly) mainly am only moderately competent Windows PC user, so am frustrated at best. Any ideas on how to restore or add this feature to return search (and get Siri shut up!)?

    You can disable Siri in settings/general if you want to completely disable the function.  I suppose that you use the Home button to return to the home screen.  If you press the button too long, Siri is enabled.  Too long is not very long, so you must quickly press and release the Home button.

    Good day.

  • How to restore the days mulitple backup in a single pass

    I have a Windows Vista Home Premium computer, had implemented the Windows backup to back up every day. The computer exploded after a year. The computer has been fixed. Reinstalled the system software and ran all the updates. Then mount the backup drive and fired up Windows backup - went into Advanced Restore. He presented the list of the files that were essentially dates from the backup (of course more 365 of them) and when I clicked on the last date, and progressed to restore it gave an error message.

    Spent a lot of time searching forums without help.

    Decided to try to restore the backup more FORMER first - it worked like a charm. Then I thought, well, maybe this restore process is primitive and I need to restore each day in turn. So I went to an older and she restored correctly. I did it for approximately 10 cases, but each of them took about 10 minutes or more to restore.

    Please tell me there is a better way to bring back all these files.

    Also disappointed to learn that only the folder of the USER has been saved and more expensive versions of Windows Vista has done a more robust FULL backup - including applications and the ability to perform a system recovery. I hope that the variants of Windows 7 do not have such a gap in quality of backup.

    In fact, you have to join the three points of view in a sql against the target:

    In my company, we use Oracle 10 g, managed by RMAN and integrated with TSM backup.

    Change Remove backuppiece < names of files of more than 35 days rc_backup_piece >;

    When this command is executed, this error is generated:

    Iron

    Hi iron,

    What I've noticed is that in the file log of alerts is an ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS on 2 January 10.

    Any idea who executed the order resetlogs on January 2, 2010?

    It does not create a new entry in the rc_database table?

    No, someone part actively this database in the catalog.

    Can give you any suggestions what to do now?

    Well, you have a 35-day retention strategy, which means that you can purge all data catalogue the XPTO DBID 4085004961 database in less than a week.
    Wait until February 8, then run the following sql against the catalog.

    Select ' EXEC DBMS_RCVCAT. UNREGISTERDATABASE('||) DB_KEY | «, » || DBID |') ;'|| ' '|| resetlogs_time
    of rc_database
    WHERE name = "& db_name.
    ;

    Use the output to unregister database with DBID 4085004961 only.

    Kind regards

    There is no way to restore all available archives?
    Yes

    restore archivelog all;

    I need to restore my backup archivelog.
    You can filter by RCS, sequence or time if you do not want to retrieve all your archivelog files.
    Example:

    restore archivelog from time 'sysdate-1';

    You can also restore to a different location if the original is not available etc.

    View rman is perfectly capable to eat the archivelog files as needed if the backups are available.

    Best regards

  • After trying to synchronize with my laptop and failure, I've restored files from a backup and make me "this connection is Untrusted" I have not found a solution.

    I uninstalled Firefox 40, deleted the profiles folder, reinstalled Firefox, restored Firefox 40 and profiles from a backup and I still get this message. I even downgraded to a previous version and restored the profiles for this version and still this nasty error pops up on everything I try to do. I can't find any info on where are stored other files of files I'm not restore or change which still linger. I've never seen anything like this. That's after spending 3 weeks completely updated and change Firefox according to my needs and dumping Chrome, that's what I get. It seems I have to go back to chrome that I need a browser that works. I tried everything I can find this issue nothing works. I am really upset over this especially after that spent all the time from Chrome to Firefox. I really need an answer or I'll have to remove Firefox and return to Chrome, as much as I hate to do this. It still works!
    Someone has an answer for this? Is their draw at Mozilla to help with this? Help!

    Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

    Another possible reason for "sec_error_untrusted_issuer" If Firefox is not configured to trust your security software, such as Avast, BitDefender, ESET or Kaspersky. If you use one of these popular products, reinstall your product can take care of the problem, or some manual adjustments may be necessary. If you use one of these, please mention which for more specific suggestions.

  • How can I restore mac Time machine backup to most recent?

    So, I recently met several problems with my old mac. He started acting upward with the blinking folder and question mark more often. So I did multiple time machine backups and have since then tried to reinstall the OS and many other options, but it looks like my mac middle of 2007 has had its day. So I bought a new mac and tried to restore the back upward on the external hard drive. I get the message that his back is an older version and it cannot be restored and I should use from the other mac migration assistant.

    So the question is: If the first mac is burned and I can not restore settings etc of the time external hard disk machine, how to restore the whole upward? Can I transfer files only?

    Very much appreciated.

    Hi Sir,

    You cannot restore data in time machine just like that. You use the data transfer assistant to recover your old records to your new Mac.

    The data that you used time machine made to your old mac are not available to your new mac. There is limitation of the system.

    Hope this could help you.
