• Eliminating the HTML but keep line breaks

  I'm hosting public users to submit the text of a field "description". However, I must reject HTML when it is displayed. I found the HTMLEditFormat() function that does this, but I lose line breaks and paragraph breaks.
  
  After the search this site for answers, I can't find a solution to keep the line breaks AND paragraph breaks while eliminating the HTML.
  
  I tried the below functions, but all have a problem. The closest one is NOT in <!-xyz-> comments. It removes HTML, preserves the new paragraphs but NOT line breaks. I can not find a solution that makes all three.

  The use of < PRE > is the only one that preserves the jumps of line, but since users enter text in a text box that uses the line feed. The result pushes the long string of text in the table on the right side of the screen... .it can be enormous. So if I had a solution to force text < PRE > back to the line, I would be done.

  OK, I found a solution: I have relaized I could save version (inset) HTML-stripped of the description in the database first. I did it using:

  <[^>]*>","","ALL")>

  Then when displaying, this simple replace preserves there line breaks AND new paragraphs:
  #Replace (description, "#chr (13) ##chr (10) #","")
  (', 'all') #.

  I use http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/device/api/i18n/SimpleDateFormat.html for formatting my date and time fields.

  I got a bug report that a device on English (UK) has a problem where the time turns off the screen, and I was able to reproduce this on device and Simulator.

  It's the pattern string that I use: hh:mma

  (hour 2 digits, colon, minute 2-digit and one letter for 'a' or 'p')

  English or r I get the result you want, for example 12: 12 p '

  "On English (UK), I get two letters for one / p marker, for example ' 12:12.

  (as if I had used 'hh:mmaa').

  What is the desired behavior? My client doesn't like it and wants a look and feel unique, with only one letter for 'a' or 'p', and I'm a little hesitatant to use aubstring...

  I usually do so, but our customer asked specifically localized to the date and time formatting.

  I am trying to add a hyperlink to my document. The text I'm tying is long and crosses a line break. I select the text and then add the hyperlink, which seems to work very well, but then when I export to PDF and then click on the link, the link is broken at the break.

  Yes. It is not InDesign, that determines what the hyperlink is right there, but rather the 'smart' function Acrobat who sees an address "www" and reads the text to the right on the PDF file. Pass this function disabled in Acrobat , and it should work.

  You can confirm that you have actually exported your document with active hyperlinks (it's a toggle in the export to PDF dialog box).

  (1) that you get this error message when running any particular task?

  (2) was there any software or hardware changes made on the computer before this problem?

  This could be when you try to install components or updates in Windows 7 by using Windows Update. You may receive an error message. Alternatively, it could be if trying to turn Windows features on or off, that some features may appear in the Windows features dialog box.

  I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps;

  If a control already has a unit, and move us to a format based on the string, its does not display is not the same exact unit. For example, under control has 'g' unit, while the format string has unit "kg".

  Not automatically, no. The problem is that the designation of the unit in effects only control how data is displayed in a particular control. When wire you a value with units in a format to the node of the chain, it will express the value of the base unit for the wire.

  I am facing a weird problem in the SQL query. Taken, I wrote the request with the spaces, tabs and line breaks after execution it slows down the database and finally, I have to restart the database again. But after removing the spaces the application went very well. I don't know what the problem causing this slow run, but after the removal of whitespace to query everything works fine. I've also confirmed plans to explain the two after the removal of whitespace and previously had the same results.

  I use the TOOL of DEVLOPER PL/SQL, SQL developer, Toad and Oracle 11 g.

  In simple, no words. With the exception of the variable QR codes, merge data has remained the same since that post.

  The current solution of:

  • put a delimiter in the source file, such as
    or | to represent the newline; then
  • Merge into a new indesign file and use find/replace to replace the separator for a line break

  Is always the simplest solution with the data merge.

  Data merge isn't the only way to import variable data. XML is another way, but the learning curve is steep. The rewards are worthwhile, but prepare to invest some many hours in learning!

  Otherwise, perhaps consider a third party plug-in which may be more appropriate than merge data.

  Rest assured, you are not alone. All I can suggest is to go to the feature request/Bug Report Form and the application as a feature request.

  I'm using FDK 11 to convert a FrameMaker to XML file. Basic example as in the "guide structured Import/Export API Programmer" works very well. But all my files frame long paragraphs which, then the conversion is a line break after a length that appear to be the default. Hereby, the length of the XML and the readability becomes tedious. Here is the snapshot of the transformation and the piece of code used. Please let me know if there is a function that allows to eliminate this default behavior.

  I use the Oracle 11.2.0 database.
  
  When querying my database with a common table expression that concatenates strings VARCHAR2, I get an error ORA-01489 even if I suspect that I am concatenating more 4000 characters.
  
  To be more precise, I have a table entity which basically stores the XML elements, including their parent element and their position of brother among his brothers and sisters. The CREATE statement for this table is listed below.

  After the insertion of certain values, I get the error ORA-01489, the result of concatenating string is too long. The maximum is called as 4,000 characters for VARCHAR2 in the oracle documentation and various Web sites. Of course, it is clear to me just by using the common table like that expression, I could run in such an error. However, because of the structure of XML documents, I doubted that channels resulting would be since a long time more than 4000 characters.
  
  So I reorganized my query to count the characters to concatenate instead of actually concatenate. The query is listed below, that the changes are marked in "BOLD":

  The result of the query gives me a maximum length of 319 characters.
  
  To be sure, I also checked the maximum level (indicated by the column named lvl in the common table expression), which means that the maximum number of items in my way (the concatenated string). The result is 18. As I use VARCHAR2 (100) for the name column and add 5 charcaters in each level, the maximum number of characters expected to 18 levels would be 1890.
  
  So, now I wonder is the ORA-01489 may have triggered another reason? Or is there something else I'm missing?
  Any help would be appreciated. Other suggestions to track down the error are more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

  Note that it takes time to actually make the dataservice call and retrieve the results. Your data will be unavailable immediately. After calling fill(), you must wait for the "result" of the DataService object event.

• method to launch FxV search and display the results in the dashboard FMS?

  is there a way to interact with the SGF FxV?  What I would do, it is to be able to click on a button in a FMS dashboard and have this trigger a search specific in the FxV and show the results here?  For example, if you have the results for purchases in the FMS but then wanted to show the details of the session for the last 4 hours, showed the results of the session in the lower part of the dashboard FMS?

  It may take much, but it would be sweet.  What is shown below could be in the lower part of the dashboard FMS...

  If I remember correctly, the GEO cartridge has the functionality you're looking for. Its been a while but I me remember we would sometimes change the parameters of the url. You can conduct a search hit or per session in an iframe.

  We are copying valid topologies 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 using exp/imp, following the standard procedure and also add toid_novalidate to the need:

  It is a combination of a JDBC bug and a corruption of data due to the bug in 10.2.
  The JDBC bug is fixed at 11.2, so data are not 'corrupt' according to the JDBC driver fixed.

  So, the data on the disk must be altered to make it compatible with the 11.2 JDBC driver.
  You must correct the sdo_geometry columns in the tables of topology using this procedure and it will work fine after that.
