Retina MBP display problems

I vaguely remember that there is a kind of reminder for display problems on some models of MacBook Pro retina. I don't remember the nature of the issue, nor the accurate models who were eligible. I have a 15-inch model, end of 2013, and what I see is pictured below (dead pixels). Can anyone remember if there was a recall and that this issue would be covered?

2011-2013 models.

To my knowledge the retinas did not have a reminder. However, I got my rMBP 2012 15 "screen changed due to ghosting. I do not know if Apple which is still.

    Hey there dear community,

I just bought a brand new Pro 13 "2015 retina display laptop McBook.

I noticed that the battery life is very short and the battery dies after only 3 hours.

As far as I know that I already stop eating apps power, lowered the brightness screen, completely off the keyboard lighting and so on.

Yet when I watch a film or work with a simple application, such as the Photo app or watch a movie, the battery dies after only 3 hours.

On the Apple site that I learned to see that battery life lasts up to 10 hours.

What should I do next? IV ' e has already checked the battery with the alt key and press the battery logo, but the mac indicates that the battery is quite good.

Some tips before you go back to the shop? What should I do?

    Kind regards

Apparently, you're trying to use AirPlay to display content that is protected in a way that not only allows the copy.

If no success, take a picture of the problem.  Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation.  If necessary, show the technician, an image of the screen.

    Howdy Yaser of zoysia,

It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

From: get help with graphics issues on external displays connected to your Mac.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • Display problem on my A60 Pro Sat

The display on my satellite A60 pro features a strip of wide pixelated of 6-7cm at the bottom that hides my mouse cursor and the taskbar. The mouse is still active behind it. Mode full screen using an external monitor is seen. The group changes with my office window or active but is just vertical color bands. What is the problem and can get rid of him.

    Hello, Robert

Have you changed anything on your device or this occurs suddenly display problem?

I'm really in idea. If you want you can reinstall the unit with recovery DVDs. If the problem persists it is obviously a malfunction of the display. In this case, you must contact partner in your country.

If there is some serious hardware issue please let us know.

    Good bye

The viewer or split display problem: I am getting small white boxes (similar to those seen in the browser) superimposed on my photos. Any ideas how to fix?  There must be a display problem in the software.

Have you of the 'show Talking Points' enabled in the view menu? Then you can see small white boxes superimposed on the image in the Viewer.

You can enable or disable on / off power with ⌥F talking points.

  • Retina MBP (mid2012) - new battery (mAh): 6394

So I just had to replace my battery... and I'm sure I'll have to make a complaint... the mAh is only 6394. I remember when I got back it is 8700 or something that nearby. even weirder, is that it has a number of cycle of 31...

is this normal for a new battery to only in 6394.

are there official information I can stick to them if they try to convince me otherwise?

    15 "or 13"?

Just checked my file and Ye Olde end 2011 15 ' no - retina MBP clocked 7150 mAh when I took possession in dec/11. My new 15 mid-2015 "battery not replaceable by the user clocks of retina MBP at 8826 mAh now, which is great, since the design was 8755 mAh. I use CoconutBattery to measure, because it performs an account of what the model is supposed to achieve.

So yes, if 15 "you have been cheated. If all goes well, it was made by Apple and have some kind of warranty (replacement parts are usually 60 days, even if the computer is no longer under warranty).

With LiPo batteries like these, the chemistry of the ages whether you use it or not. So, you could get an old spare who remained in the shelf maybe even since before that your Mac has been carried out.

  • Tecra S1 display problem

Unfortnately my tecra s1 hit the table of coffee on the ground, the screen immediately turned white. When I rebooted there was no display at all (black only)
The computer works as I plugged on a screen external and that was very good. I tried to follow various troubleshooting guides online showing how to disassemble the laptop and reinstall the connector of the display on the motherboard, but this did not remedy the problem.

I noticed coming from the display was a big bunch of wires going into a connector that I reinstalled, on the right hand side of the screen is a white and black wire to a connector and a pink wire that seemed to just float, I couldn't not whence he came. Does anyone have ideas on the subject of this thread or other tips that can help me.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Unfortunately, mate, you won't find any manual disassembly here on the pages of Toshiba. These manuals are not for use public and designed only for the FSA.
But I think you could google a bit and you should find a few details.

I think that it is a display problem that I doubt that some loose cables could cause this problem
In my view, the screen is broken and needs to be replaced
To do this, you should get in touch with your technician ASP.

    Good luck

  • Graphics/display problem - Satellite M60-105

I'm having a little problem with the display (or graphics). In some programs of CAD (Inventor, Solid Works) 3D solids are displayed with lines that normally are not displayed. "I see the solid. In the games like Doom3, I see only a chequer (Exchequer) with black, the blind, the tasks of rectangle. I tried to update the graphics driver, but the results were the same. Problem is more complex that I have thaught, because I noticed the same problem after formatting HD and mounting of Toshiba Recovery CD. Also, I noticed the same thing happens when I'm trying to change something in the BIOS. Maby some of you have had a problem like this, please help.

    Hello

Believe me on this path is not easy to say what may be the problem. The explanation of your problem is good, but it will be interesting to see what you mean exactly.

One of my friends has M60 and I didn't see any display problem on his unit. If the unit is installed with recovery media that produced with other applications, watch DVDs or simply with 3D CAD program?

It will also be interesting to know what you exactly changed in the BIOS.

  • The satellite M60 display problems

    Hello

I bought a satellite M60 a month ago, and since then, I've been strugling trying to solve a problem that has to do with the display (ATI 700 X mobility).
When I play some games (the dawn of war, Unreal tournament...) the computer freezes completely, I actually have to force stop it to restart.
Another problem, that I have seen is with Mixmeister Pro 6, the video playback is erratic, it is as if the computer is unable to handle any overload.

I tried the upgrade of drivers, nothing works, then I installed the third party Omega drivers, but once again, nothing to do.

Since the purchase of the M60, I had to correct problems of Wirless and PCMCIA card through driver updates, but there is nothing that I'm be able to do to resolve this display problem.

I am quite convinced it's a driver issue, but then again, nothing is certain.

If anyone can help me please I'm getting desperate.

    Hello

Well, it's not easy to say why it happens but one of my friends has sometimes even appearance but on another unit. If he plays a high-performance games unity cling.
In my view, this could be a heating problem. Playing games is hard work for the laptop, because all parts (bars of memory, processor, graphics card, etc.) work with max performance and produce a lot of heat. Most laptops are not developed for this.

However, you should always use the graphics driver from Toshiba. I found the latest version of 15/07/05. It is a display 8.121.050.322A driver. In addition, you must install latest DirectX. I think that it s a 9.1. Check whether the fixes for these games are available.

Second, if video playback is erratic, it seems that the OS is fully committed.
In this case, you should check the processes that run in the background of the operating system.
In addition, try to defragment the HARD disk

    Good bye

  • Display problems with the Portege R600 and Win 7

I have a R600 running windows 7, every two minutes, I have a display problem where where the vertical pixels seem to get every centimeter unaligned, so my screen seems to blur digital in bars across it.

I have an external monitor attached and get the same problem with or without him. I have tired the driver of toshiba and intel driver.

It seems to go away if I have windows min and max, but sometimes it doesn't. If I run my mouse an affected area, that it seems in trouble and sometimes it's not all screen.

    A refresh solves it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    > I have an external monitor attached and get the same problem with or without him.
Maybe I m wrong but in most cases if these symptoms are seen on the two displays (internal & external) then a graphics chip could be affected
It would be the worst case, because that would mean that the motherboard needs to be replaced

But just a question; have you noticed that using the previous Windows OS preinstalled by maybe Toshiba (Win XP or Vista), you must install the image of Toshiba again to verify if this display problem is still visible

  • Display problems with all types of terrain and graphic

    Hello

I have display problems general with all types of chart, graph or plot that I try to use, on two different machines, both with NVIDIA graphics cards.  A machine is a MacBook under XP SP2 in bootcamp and the other a Dell T3400 workstation (or something similar) under XP SP3.

I posted this thread earlier which Ben replies to the weird graphic behavior.  Ben suggested that I try to simplify my code as much as possible while keeping the bad behavior and by submitting to the NC and the forum, because it is others have had problems of graph.  I tried, but in vain.  Display problem continues and continues and continues and then they just go and I can't get back by unscrewing the last stage of reduction or simplification of code.  But at some point during the reconstruction of the code, which I cannot determine, returns the bad behavior.

So, I was set up with graphics looking for shit, until recently, when I thought I'd try some suggestions of other messages to a XY-plot function as a graph by creating a buffer and using nodes of ownership of land for the range control.  Things seemed promising, until my "XY table" started getting shit, too.  This time, the issue was with the grid lines becomes all chopped, attached images.

I am out of resources here.  I think I'm running out of options to display graphic data in an acceptable manner.  Do I have to display data by using an Excel chart in an ActiveX container in Labview?  I'm not skilled enough to do it again.  I like Labview, it is the only programming language that I am competent even remotely help, but it's just inferiorating.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  Thanks for reading.

    -Greg

    Greg,

is there a particular reason why you use the bar plots - view superior graphic style? Try activating the legend of the plot, go to the bar plots and select the first track of the Bar Style. Your chart is displayed very well after that.

    See you soon,.
