• Envy 4500: Envy very slow to print 4500

  I have a craving for 4500 and it takes several minutes to print a single page.  The status bar indicates it is connected to the computer and the bar moves that printing takes place, but it's really slow!  Any suggestions?  I have a Macbook with OS X Yosemite.

  I've read about problems you encounter with your printing is slow, when printing from your Mac running 10.10, and I wanted to tender hand to try to help outs! Before you begin, try to make a copy or two in front of your desire to 4500. If copies are too slow, try a reset of the power and try to reproduce again. If the copies to work correctly, go to the procedure below.

  Reset the power supply:

  Turn on the printer.
  With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
  If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  Please, try the following steps in the order and try to print again to edit text.

  1. Reset the printing system
  2. Repair disk permissions
  3. Restart the Mac.
  4. Click here to download and install the complete driver: HP ENVY 4500 series full feature software and drivers
  5. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers

  I am trying to print the return address on envelopes #10 and can't find the right place to put the envelope. I tried all locations to put envelopes and printer it crosses but does not print. I ran a cloth across and it. and when it prints I tried to put the envelope but the printer does not recognize an envelope. Any help will be appreciated.

  Is the HP printer updaate that displayed on the screen of the printer (you have an option to Yes or not) the same one you get on your desktop when you hit the update of HP with the ball that comes and goes, then displays the updates.   I'm an overlay in red when I print pictures in color on photo paper.  I made diagnostic tests and have been informed that the printer/scanner is correct.  The problem started when I ran downstairs on the ink.  I changed the black and color cartridges, but still not the Red overlay.  Can you help me?

  Thank you sincerely for your help.  I ran the tools and has obtained reports showing that the blue color is not printing.  Does that mean I have a faulty color cartridge and must return it?  The overlay happened before I put in the new cartridge, too.  I only use HP photo paper products.  I have another HP printer that prints without the overlay isn't the picture or photo paper.

  I recently moved into the new home of the University, and the wifi reception is very low.

  When I go to "Wireless Details" on my printer, it said no "detected" - I assume that given the weak wifi signal in my room, my printer just will not come back on any signal and so I won't be able to print wireless? If this is the case, is there not an option for me to print using a cable any?

• HP Envy printer 4500: don't know what mean icons for ink levels

  When I want to check my ink level, what happens with two different icons for which, I suppose, is the ink cartridges. It has an oval icon below it, and the other which seems to be a symbol of infinity. I'm not sure what each represents. Once again I have to assume one is for black in color. I have searched online for an answer, but all the 'manual' says is to check level, which does not mean the icons. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Yup blue flashing light means that you are not connected to your routers SSID. For test purposes, remove your SSID of the router password. Now try to connect to your SSID unsecured? Are you successful? If so, go back and add a WPA2-AES encryption with your password.
