  • Please educate CC Adobe and Adobe products DPI

Hi again Adobe. I have used CC for almost 2 years now and other products Adobe/Macromedia since 2002. Our company have invested a lot of money on your products, because we know that they are the best in the industry. We also invest in the top of the page material to make our most productive teams.

I personally supported Adobe CC and bought computers very good for what I can devote myself to my passion in interactive development for web and e-learning office. I've been using screens high resolution for my desktop and laptop computers. However, the tools that I have more claim - Adobe CC - is not same DPI aware under Windows (Yes, even on Windows 10). It's so painful to use on my laptop powerful, for example, with a screen of 3K, while I'm travelling because I have only 2 or 3 choices. I disable the scaling of a particular application of Adobe and get tiny UI with unreadable fonts, use the scale to and get the user interface elements blurred fonts, or (in the case of Photoshop) get 200% scale and get huge UI elements - cuts in half of my usable space effectively.

I still wonder why most of the Adobe applications are not aware of DPI. What about 140%, 150%, 160% scale? Or better yet the scale based on the evolution of Windows? I am now reluctant to buy a new 4K monitor because I don't want to meet this problem on my desktop. Some people might ask why I want 4K and scaling and my answer is simple: look good screens high resolution and by examining texts and graphics is great. I can even say that it not only strain my eyes when I look at code with fonts that are super NET.

Adobe, please, please update your applications to support various DPIS on Windows. Make your application that supports the IPR. I know that many of your customers want this too. The solution you gave for Photoshop (Auto, 100%, 200%) is simply not enough. We need dynamic scaling support. A good example is Lightroom where everything seems so nice no matter what DPI is your screen. Please Adobe. It's time to show the world that you care about your customers.

    Hi Keith,

Thank you for posting. I think from reading some other threads that it is something that we are working on. Please see this thread Re: Photoshop CC / Windows 8.1 HiDPI / retina support scaling. I also know that the development of the Illustrator team working on solutions too Illustrator CC 2014 GUI/sliders really too big on 1080 p display

Due to the mode of development work at Adobe, I would recommend passing on comments on a per-product basis. The form here is a good resource - feature request/Bug Report Form. You can also visit the individual forums product too, there might already be some related discussions which you could participate in or enter into discussions again if necessary.

  • Compression applied to jpg on file save as

    Hello

I have a Nikon D7000 that is configured to save photos in RAW + JPG.

Coming from the camera, the size of the RAW file is ~ 16MB. The size of the JPG file is usually ~ 4MB.

When I load the RAW file in photoshop and select "Save as"JPG"using"Maximum"quality of the image, the resulting JPG image is 200-400 KB.

How is it that the JPG of the camera is ~ 4MB and an intact RAW image saved as jpg in photoshop is 200 to 400 KB? Is this normal?

    I use Photoshop CS5.

Any idea here is very popular.

    Thank you

As I said earlier: clear all three fields.

If you enter fixed values, you're forcing ch to interpolate.  I can't be bothered explaining much right now (too lazy to type), but just trust me on that. Uncheck to three and you're fine.

In the dialogue of camera raw, if you click the settings in blue at the bottom, you can change the strange 240dpi at 300 dpi or whatever you want.

  • Strange problem with measurement of the color under Mac.

Hello, I have a strange problem with measurement of the color under Mac. For example I create a gradient in Photoshop color 200 200 200 color 240 240 240. When I measure the color of the gradient with the Photoshop color measurement tool or with the built in OS X color measurement tool measured color is of 200 199 197 to 240 240 238. I measured the same gradient with Photoshop for PC and the values are OK (the same values that I create).

I don't know what the problem is, but I think that the colors that I create are the same I have measure after creating them and also values between Mac and PC. I appreciate much help or information you could give me that helps me understand what is happening here.

    Thank you for your time

    Marcelo.

Yep, you guessed it, evidence as monitor basically removes all profiling and just offer it right.

is it possible to make the OS X color measurement tool to measure the original color values

You mean the colors of paper - No., as I said photoshop filter your image through the profile document, proof of installation and the monitor profile. Why use Digital color meter for this though?

I don't understand what is measurement of color values that will change every time point calibrate it my monitor.

Because color values are "larger" what is on your monitor. Your monitor (via photoshop) makes only the best he can to display these values, which can be anything from LAB colors outside the range of your monitor - to the CMYK color. Calibration, it is the only way to allow your monitor to do this in any way accurately. (never really impossible) The monitors have a certain range and are only representations / would the REAL colors who is the holder of a document, with a profile. There's only one good reason to measure the monitor values so that is to build a monitor profile.

  • With the help of Photoshop CC on the retina of Macbook Pro

Hi, I'm a web designer and I'll try to find a way forward by using Photoshop CC on my Macbook Pro (end of 2013).  I found the messages that say you can open photoshop CS6 "Low resolution" but I can't find the same option in Photoshop CC.  My comps of design of 200% zoom is certainly not the answer.

  • Noisy fans of MacbookPro retina when using Adobe Photoshop CC

    Hi all
I have an early 2015 13-inch Macbook Pro. My MBP runs between 70 ° c - 80 ° c with fan speeds above 5000 rpm, according to SMC fan control app, when you use Adobe Photoshop CC. The fan noise is quite noticeable. Is this normal?
On average, my computer is anywhere from 36 to 45 degrees Celsius 000rpm.

    Processor and memory information:

    Memory: Physical memory: 16,00 GB

    Memory used: 7.22 GB

    Cached files: 3.30 GB

    Used swap: 380.8 MB

    CPU: System: 21,69%

    User: 23.67%

    Idle: % 54,64

3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 processor

    16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 memory

Graphics Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB

Photoshop is intensive resources and application that you experience, it is when you use.  The issue you report are consistent with the conditions in the State.  Everything is normal.

If you want to reduce temperatures that some, and so the fan accelerates, a cooling pad and/or lowering the room temperature would be useful.  However, this is not mandatory.

    Ciao.

  • Defining the interface of the scale to 200% in Photoshop CC 2015 does not work.

Title says it all.  I have change the scale to 200% to take into account my 4K monitor and restart Ps and my computer does not change it.  Is there a solution to this?  Thank you.

Can you show two screenshots like this.  I opened CC 2015.5 Edit preference Interfaces, it has shown 100% IU. I have PRTSCN to copy the screen to the Clipboard. Change IU 200% hit OK and close Photoshop.  Open Photoshop opened a new document Clipboard format and Pasted in the screenshot. 100% relative additional canvas. Change preferences Interface saw 200% and click on Prtscrn to screenshot. 200% changed to 100% and click OK. a Pasted in the second screenshot an aline layer down, you can see the Interface preferably did not fit my display 1920 x 1080 to scale 2 x it becomes a display 960 x 540 and responds PS status of 1024 x 768.

  • What display on MacbookPro (Retina) profile is suitable for work in Photoshop?

Hi, I work on Photoshop for years (about a self-taught) but only recently learned about "color management" etc. (shame on me!)

I am currently editing illustrations with watercolor scanned into Photoshop CC, the retina MacbookPro.

After reading numerous amounts of articles on the Photoshop color settings/management/profiles, there is always something I'm not sure with: display profile

For the moment, the display profile is set to its default value; LCD display.

I would like to work in photoshop with sRGB Spaces(but eventually convert it to CMYK in InDesign) work.

Or do nothing of this case because I work only on my laptop and use no display external or calibration...

I would really appreciate the help!

    Thank you

    Haruna

The profile there factory (display or color LCD) value is a good default value.

This factory profile is generic, so the best profile is that you do with a separate device that measures your specific display and generates a custom profile for your screen. If you don't have one of those, stick with the default profile this set of Apple.

This profile is intended to say OS X how your screen reproduced color, so choose either display profiles such as Adobe RGB or sRGB in the system displays preferences. You should only choose a profile that appears after selecting "show profiles for this display only". If you want to work in sRGB, choose sRGB as RGB working space in Photoshop color settings. When you save a Photoshop file (with save under), be sure to only incorporate the color profile is selected. In this way, when you have InDesign convert RGB to CMYK images, he'll know what kind of RGB is the conversion of.

  • Photoshop UI loading low resolution on retina MBP

    Hi all

For the past few weeks (I don't remember exactly when it started, so I can't tell if an update has caused), the user interface of Photoshop CC 2015 has been low dpi on my 2015 13 "MacBook Pro of retina. This is the interface: frame text interface user and icons, buttons close/minimize/maximize on the application, start to load, all modal dialog boxes, etc. All loading low DPI, visibly pixelated on the screen high resolution.

There has been some updates since I first noticed the issue (and I'm perfectly up-to-date now), but none of them were fixed.

I tried to restart my Mac, dumping my preferences, uninstall extensions, disabling the GPU acceleration, toggling the display in the preferences system resolution (the problem persists on all modes of scaling, including mode 'more space', which maps the pixels of the interface device pixel 1:1) and finally, completely uninstall and reinstall the app CC Photoshop. None of my other CC apps share the question.

I have an Apple Thunderbolt external Display that I use sometimes. The problem persists with and without the connected display (and through the above troubleshooting steps with and without display).

I did troubleshooting above with the people of @AdobeCare on Twitter, and they asked that I post my case here.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Mark

If you select Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.app in/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and run the command info (Cmd - i), is open in low resolution (general section) checked on?

The jaggednes in Photoshop is different, it's because you're basically a preview rendering mode.  It is rendered in 3D graphics real time (fast and interactive, you can move things around and and preview quickly) and ray traced rendering (slow, but calculated lights/shadows/prettiness).  When you move things in Photoshop, you are in live mode is not as pretty.  Once you're composition is further along, you would want to do a ray traced rendering.  To make the press the small render cube icon at the bottom of the properties panel so that you have a 3D layer selected.  To get the best look, you can set the properties of light and even add some lights second for retro-lighting/rimlights, etc.
