retrieve "Is active WLAN"

Hello

is it possible to determine if the WLAN connection is enabled or disabled? Only the object Info WLAN seems to indicate if the device is actually connected to a WLAN.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to push in the right direction! the solution proved to RadioInfo.getEnabledWAFs().

  • Satellite A660 - activating WLAN?

    Hello
    I can't activate my WiFi by pressing FN + F8

    I've updated some driver´s. If I press the FN + F8 keys, OSD tells me that I need to activate my WIFI.
    but I Don t know 'how '?

    I can't find any extra-boutons!

    Hello

    There should be a Wifi switch above the keyboard, a touch-button with an icon small antenna.

    This touch key should allow the Radio/antenna Wi - Fi.

    If it isn't, you may need to reinstall the Toshiba value added Package and check the wireless settings in the BIOS.

    Hi, I have a Dell D600 with XP Home. Motherboard caught fire and is toast! Bought the replacement motherboard used and salvaged from old hard drive with total recovery of the SYSTEM with Virus prog! Strips of old Memo, all works well.
    How 'activate' with MS updates and save all of my existing "legal" stuff? Don't I have a new problem of CPU serial code? I see a number of customer in the 'Properties' window, as before. Is it still valid? Start over from scratch is not an option I want to address.
    I fear more the "on screen" instructions that are completely inflexable and accept no compromise.
    Ideas before 'online' with this machine?
    Have a nice day, Cliff

    If the replacement motherboard is exactly the same motherboard that burned, then you should be OK. However if the motherboard replacement for is different then Windows will report that you have a version not genuine.

  • Where can I retrieve my key Activation OEM for Windows 8 Pro?

    Hello

    So I decided to solve the annoying problem of partition SSD in my Yoga Ideapad 13 by to pick up a Windows 8 ISO and install it via USB. Unfortunately, I can't find an activation code. Obviously, my computer came with a factory, but once I did a clean wipe of the drive, all of this has been lost. Lenovo has a way to retrieve an activation code to users?

    Thomas

    You shouldn't have an activation code. If you install a simple Windows 8 OS (not Windows 8 Pro), then in the BIOS activation code should be adopted automatically during installation. The key isn't vald for Windows 8 Pro, so if you want to install, then just buy it at Microsoft. Note that it is technically unnecessary to buy a full Windows 8 Pro key, key to upgrade should work just as well if you're ready to do a simple search on Google for a workaround which takes a minute of your time plus a reboot your laptop to achieve more.

  • Satellite L450D - 11V peripheral WLAN disappeared

    My daughter has this laptop and lost features Wi - Fi during January 2010. I downloaded the latest BIOS and WLAN drivers, but the device is still missing in Device Manager. BIOS has active WLAN.

    The laptop is running Windows 7, and the device is a Realtek RTL8191SE onboard.

    I'm assuming that a windows update has disabled this as it already had no problems - works fine via ethernet cable.

    When starting laptop, the wireless light comes on but goes off then once Windows is used.

    It seems that there is a similar problem to others - I do not want to reinstall OS because I'm assuming that the updates of windows will do the same again.

    Any ideas - Toshiba problem or problem of Windows 7?

    Hi Gimster182,

    About the disappeared WLAN device, you must check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=51315&TSTART=0

    So make sure that your WLAN device is activated correctly.

    Have you tried with the factory settings?

  • Re: Satellite C660-119 - WLAN disconnect battery

    I would really appreciate if someone can help me here on behalf of my mother!

    She has a Toshiba Satellite C660-119. Everything works fine when the power supply is connected to the laptop, but as soon as she disconnects it then he loses (Virgin Media router) wireless connection. Two other laptops (family members) work quite well. The problem is last week she bought an another Toshiba Satellite and had the same problem, so we went back today thinking it was defective and got the C660 but it happens on this one too!

    Any notice received with gratitude.

    Hey,.

    If this only happens on the battery, I think that it s economy feature that will be activated WLAN energy battery mode. That means WLAN card saves energy, but it could be loose connection.

    Take a look in the Windows power management and assign card WLAN for Performance maximum battery mode. This document will help you:

  • Refresh all active applications

    Hi all

    I'm kinda stuck with the following problem. I use the application scope to store a sizeable collection of labels used in our corporate Intranet. From time to time, I need to refresh this collection that I have added new labels. I've implemented a refreshing switch by writing the following code in my OnRequestStart of Applicationmethod. cfc :

    If (IsDefined ("URL.flush"))
    OnApplicationStart (flushed = true);

    To any given page I manually add URL parameters "RAS = true" and voila, refreshed.

    The problem is that different applications exist in the journal of the people on the Intranet through different names (the server name, server IP, DNS alias,...).

    I wrote the following to retrieve all active applications:

    appObj = createObject ("java", "coldfusion.runtime.ApplicationScopeTracker");
    Apps = appObj.getApplicationKeys ();
    appsList = "";
    While (apps.hasMoreElements ()) {}
    appName = apps.nextElement (m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ());
    appsList = ListAppend (appsList, appName);
    }
    appsList = listSort (appsList, "textNoCase", "asc");

    This property returns a list of all active applications. I can retrieve a specific application by calling:

    appScope = appObj.getApplicationScope (appName);

    However, I would like to call the SystemFramework of each of these fields of application...

    How can this be achieved?

    Thanks for reading so far.

    Greetings, Bert.

    do not store a variable in a data base that should be checked each time a page runs, (why anyone should request vars if this has always been done)

    URL param refreshing is acceptable using your script to list the names of the application, and then using the extract in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/537752?tstart=0

  • Re: WIRELESS does not work on my Satellite Z830

    Hi Experts,

    I just used Anytime Upgrade upgrade home premium (x 64) win7 professional.
    Everything works fine...
    Given that WIFI no longer works!

    Adapter is on, but won't find any WLAN.
    FN + F8 works and the settings are correct.

    I read a lot of problems similar to search on Google, but nothing helped.

    Any help out there?

    With greetings
    Hollywood

    In General, drivers, tools and utilities can be used with every version of Windows so it shouldn't be a problem.
    If or any other WLAN can be detected maybe is not activated WLAN card correctly.
    Check it please preinstalled Toshiba ConfigFree tool. It shows exact status for all components of communication.

    Check all the it please. Check the WLAN settings, reboot the router.

  • NB520 - Wifi stopped working suddenly on its own

    Hello

    I bought my NB520 to Singapore.

    WIFI worked fine for almost 3 years, until very recently, I have a strange problem.
    It stopped working suddenly on its own during almost 2 weeks in June.

    Just when I was about to send it to the repair center, he returned.
    But WIFI comes on and off for a few weeks before he stabalised.
    It works well since then, up to 3 days ago, he set out again like last time.

    Usually, when I switch on the netbook, WIFI (red light) lights a few seconds.
    To use Bluetooth, I just right click on the Bluetooth icon and press "Turn on Bluetooth function" and Bluetooth turns on.

    But now when I do that, it tells me to "connect Bluetooth device".
    Is it a hardware problem or software?
    I spoke with a local technician, but she is not sure too.
    Would appreciate if you can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Fionna

    > Is it a hardware problem or software?
    This can very easily get the laptop back to factory settings.
    But I guess that this is not an option for you at this time. Isn t it?

    However, the question that you talk about in your message looks like the isn t correctly chosen and active WLan.
    Usually, you can use the secret key FN + F8 to activate and deactivate the module WiFi and BT.
    Both keys would switch WLan BT as well as disable and enable the modules.

    Have you tested this in the past?

    Where the FN + F8 does not work as it should, I recommend you download the driver Wlan from Toshiba published page for this series of laptop and reinstall the driver Wlan.

    Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

  • A Wi - Fi connection does not work on my Satellite L350D

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L350D with Vista 32 bit.
    After reinstalling, it s impossible to connect via Wi - Fi. With cable, connect properly.
    Everything seems to be ok.
    The Wi - Fi switch is active and the orange light comes on.
    Pressing Fn and F8 Wi - Fi will appear as active.
    The network card is a Realtek RTL8187B. Everything seems ok with it too.

    Check in the Control Panel, Device Manager, it shows that the adapter works fine.
    I tried to disable and enable, resettlement and the driver update.
    Could not get the Wi - Fi works fine.

    I remember when I got the laptop again, I got the same problem. I solved it the call to the Toshiba in-kind service and they gave me the solution, but now I can´t do it because the computer is not under warranty.

    Can someone help me?
    Thank you

    Your L30D detect your WLAN? Okay, I understand that the material is OK and active WLAN but I would like to know if your laptop can detect any WLAN or not.

    Have you tried to reboot your router? Have you tested it with a few other WLAN?

    To be honest, it's really strange. Maybe stupid question now but is WLAN option in your router ON?

  • NB200 - how to activate WiFi on Windows 7?

    Hey,.
    I just bought a brand new netbook from Toshiba NB200 (10-Z).

    When you are finished with the installation of Win XP needed, I installed the Windows 7 RC1, but wifi does not work. The Fn + F8 combination would start the wifi adapter, but the indicator light on the side exterior of the netbook is not Flash or anything like that and the system said, first, I have to turn on the wifi but I can not simply because the combination does not work. I installed all the drivers, but still does not work.

    Sorry for the bad English, I'm Hungarian.
    Thank you, B3N1

    Hello

    By pressing the FN + F8 would as a result of conditions:
    -Activate BT
    -Activate WLan only
    -Activate the 3G only (some models)
    -Activate all devices
    -Disable all devices

    Maybe you have not activated the WLan but just BT or 3G?
    Press the FN + F8 key several times in order to get the active WLan!

    Check it!

  • Stop or go to bed, internet wireless satellite P750 disappear

    It is weired so I'll start from the top. I just got this baby a few months ago so I don't know what is happening.

    Whenever it is idle and shuts down or goes to sleep, wake up;
    internet access is charged again.
    hardware radio switch is off so not networking

    Now I'll adapters from device network/crèche and right-click Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000 BGN, then properties then advanced. From there on, I opened Mode 802.1 1n and enable or disable, depending on what I did the last time. So I'm able to activate the WiFi.

    But as soon as he fell asleep or stops, the same problem arises. It was so bad, I have the Device Manager in my taskbar for easy access.

    My husband and I are the only ones on this network. Requires access to the internet while my computer is asleep. What can I do to remedy this?

    I might add, this problem started a couple of weeks. I don't remember anything to get there. I've been on a lot of forums. Nobody seems to have an answer. (X-)

    BTW, I have Win7. What I wouldn't do to have XP back.

    The wireless network must be enabled using the FN + F8 key combination.
    Did you use or try this in order to activate the WiFi network?

    Of my knowledge using this key combination should be good enough to get the active Wlan.

    By the way: try to update the WLan driver
    Here's the latest drivers available on the Toshiba WLan Portal:
