Return: 12541 - ORA-12541: listener TNS:no

I could not able to connect thorugh Data Mover and Appdesigner. I'm below errro

File: Error SQL Access ManagerSQL. Stmt #: 2 error Position: 0 return: 12541 - ORA-12541: listener TNS:no

But I can't able to connect through SQL DEVELOPER.

Also, I can see DB different name in select * from database v$; Select * from Psalm OSDBOWNER;

I put the name PSDBOWNER as 'PSHRDEV' but when I fire ' select * v database $; ' I see 'PSHRQUE '.

The name of your database is "PSHRQUE". So you can update the PSDBOWNER table also.

I guess you did an update of the database. So, you have different value in the PSDBOWNER table.

Thank you

    Hello team,
    could you please help me out in knowing how to do an entry in the listening port so that Oracle can understand my SID = ORCL is listening this port only.

    (1) I created my 1st database using DBCA.

    Now, I just did an entry in the LISTENING port. ORA specifying number 1521 port,

    (2) I have created a database as ORADB I specified as 1523 port number with my host name and a different database DB3 I've specified the port number 1525.

    But I've specified blindly some port numbers and my host name, I got an error, the listener, I enclose the exit to the station.

    (3) when I try to ping at the entrance in the listening port, its success. tnsping was a success and I am able to connect to oracle using the connection string,

    My problem is why my interlocutor doesn't support all services and how the database is able to connect to the correct database. Please find the AMT and the exit. I've also added my TNS and listener files

    Listener supports no services... !

    Windows to Linux listener TNS connection error!

    Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

    Where to start...

    Your understanding of the role of the listener, its relationship to the database and its configuration are leaves much to be desired.

    As Sybrand said, your listener just to a port, and the default value of 1521 is quite sufficient.  This is the port that the client will use to communicate with the listener to ask for a connection.  There is no relationship between this port and any database supported by the listener, nada, zilch, zero.

    Second, you say you have entered like this in your listener.ora:

    ORCL =

    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC) (KEY = EXTPROC1521))

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dev5065) (PORT = 1521))

    )

    )

    ADR_BASE_ORCL = / u01/app/oracle

    Where in the world do you have the idea to put those in listener.ora?  There is nothing like that documented in the reference Services Net (content).  Those aren't entries for tnsnames.ora, listener.ora.  And the constant repitition of ADR_BASE is useless.

    The best thing you can do is to simply delete your listener.ora file and make sure that the LOCAL_LISTENER parameter in each of your databases is NOT defined.  Thereby the listener quite fortunately starts, using port 1521, and databases to record with the port to listen on this port.  Then change your customer files tnsnames.ora to 1) always specify the port 1521 and 2) remove these entries ADR_BASE.

  • location of the file tnsnames.ora and Listener.ora

    Hello

    env: Oracle 11 g 2 - Orable Linux 6.2 64bits

    I set up a database for the client server. I installed IM and the House according to the standards of the Oracle RDBMS. Then I configured the listener to run BOF IM home. If the location of the 'ora, tnsnames' and 'listener.ora' files is $GI_HOME/network/admin.

    Customer's DBA is asking me to conform to the standard for the location of these two files. Here's what he asked for:

    / opt/oracle/owner = oracle, group = s/n (755 permissions)

    / var/opt/oracle owner = oracle, group = s/n (755 permissions)

    • -touch /var/opt/oracle/listener.ora
    • -touch /var/opt/oracle/tnsnames.ora
    • -chown oracle: dba /var/opt/oracle/listener.ora
    • -chown oracle: dba /var/opt/oracle/tnsnames.ora
    • -s /var/opt/oracle/tnsnames.ora /etc/tnsnames.ora ln
    • -s /var/opt/oracle/listener.ora /etc/listener.ora ln

    I'm completely lost here. I don't know if I'm moving these two files in the folder "/ etc", how the LISTENER know about the presence of these files in ' / etc '.

    His reason for this is to support the possibility of having several houses of Oracle's RDBMS. I don't know what he's talking about.

    Please notify.

    Best regards

    user130038 wrote:

    Thanks to you two!

    So basically this DBA do not like to follow standards of Oracle but his own.

    BINGO!

    What is the problem with the help of $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin for these two files if there were several homes of oracle on a server? Sorry I never got to work on a server with multiple oracle homes, so I have no idea.

    The 'standard' with several houses installation is to run the listener from the version the most recent House.  If all of the houses are of the same version (putting aside the question of 'why'), then just pick one that is going to be home for the listener.  If the installation program uses the Grid Infrastructure (ASM and/or Oracle Restart), you must run the listener from the House of IM, not House the database.

    There are some key things to consider here.

    1. the auditor is to receive and process applications for connecting customers.  This is why the listener has no meaning on the Server.  Similarly, its configuration file, listener.ora, only makes sense on the server.

    1a. a single listener, using the default name of the LISTENER and the unique default port of 1521 is quite capable of--indeed, we wanted to - several multiple databases editions of multiple service homes.

    2. the tnsnames.ora file provides a name resolution and address customers.  So it has the sense that on the client computer.

    2. when a database uses a db link to access a different database, the first database acts as a client to the second - as with any other LDAP client.

    Thank you!

    Try it with sid ORCL instead of XE.

    If this does not help, then choose SERVICE_NAME orcl instead of SID in sql developer.

    Your listener seems to have an entry for this.

    You can also test it in SQl * more. But what you've done so far in SQl * plus was a "server connection", without providing the database.

    Because in your case, the client and the server is on the same machine, it works with sql * more.

    If you try a customer coonnect by specifying the database, then you would do the same thing as the Oracle SQL Developer is by train.

    For test purposes, something like

    sqlplus user/pwd@host:port/ORCL

    also in the Sqlnet.ora file must be an etry for local EZCONNECT connect method. I don't know if it is set during the installation of network by default.

    You can try if there is an Alias-TNS name (configured in the tnsnames.ora)

    sqlplus user/pwd@ORCL

    If it works with sql * plus, so you must always indicate the sql developer where the tnsnames.ora file is located on your computer.

    The setting can be found in the menu: extras/tools/base data/improved

    The tnsnames.ora file is usually in a file like this:

    C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\network\admin

    I'm using the version of Oracle 10 g, who has two services (bit10g and ora10g) is installed.

    On upgradation I was unable to start and connect using ora10g so I created another which is bit10g.

    Bit10g service worked fine for quite a long time. The last I have worked and connected was the game and it connected no problem.

    Now, when I'm trying to connect to the database today I am unable to connect because I'm
    ORA12514 - TNS:listener is not currently in service.

    Second, I tried to search the forums which led me to check the status of the listener.

    D:\ORACLE\db\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\network\admin\listener.ora

    and my listener entries are in the file D:\ORACLE\db\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\network\admin\listener.ora...

    and I was checking the D:\ORACLE\db\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\network\admin\listener.ora file and give the same entries...

    I'm always confused with this problem

  • Could not start the listener: TNS protocol error

    Hello

    I installed Oracle 10 g on my PC. It installed fine, and I can connect to SQLPlus. However, I can't start the listener. I tried: lsnrctl start listener, and I get :-12560 TNS: TNS:protocol adapter error.

    I can a loopback connection installed with 10.10.10.10 that IP address. I have an entry in my hosts, 10.10.10.10 file localhost. My listener.ora file is:

    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_NAME = PLSEXTPROC)
    (ORACLE_HOME = E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1)
    (= Extproc PROGRAM)
    )
    (SID) DESC =
    (SID_NAME = ORCL)
    (ORACLE_HOME = E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1)
    )
    )

    LISTENER =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC) (KEY = EXTPROC1))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 1521))
    )
    )

    Any help you can give is appreciated, let me know if you need more information.

    Probably, you must first remove the listener.
    I met this before.
    Remove the listener, then try to create it.

    In addition, type ipconfig/all to your command prompt.
    Confirm your IP address.

  • OGG-00868 ERROR attaching to the ASM ASM server: ORA-12514 (12514): TNS:lis

    I installed ggs and configured listener.ora and tnsnames.ora.

    I've done a first load, it worked.

    Then, I created an excerpt with the parameters:

    extract ext1
    SetEnv (ORACLE_SID = "PROD")
    SetEnv (ORACLE_HOME = ' / u01/oracle/orahome ")
    ggs_owner username, password xxxxx
    RMTHOST 10.12.12.12, MGRPORT 7809
    RMTTRAIL /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/ggs/dirdat/rt
    TRANLOGOPTIONS ASMUSER SYS@ASM,ASMPASSWORD xxxxx
    app.* table;

    The extract added with cannot connect to asm ora-12514 error.

    My Listener.ora look like this:
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = ASM)
    (ORACLE_HOME = / u01/oracle/orahome)
    (SID_NAME = + ASM)
    )

    Tnsnames.ora look like this:
    ASM =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xxxxxxx) (PORT = 1521))
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = + ASM)
    )
    )

    That is why continue to occur?

    Direct connection ASM

    Create a user for the extraction process to directly access the ASM instance. Transfer this
    the user SYS or SYSDBA privileges in the case of the DSO. Oracle GoldenGate is not supported
    authentication of OS for the user of ASM.

    the asm and the DB share the same password file?

    SQL > SELECT name, value OF THE parameter $ v
    WHERE name = 'remote_login_passwordfile;

    Hello. I have a 11.2.0 database. This database has been migrated to 10.2.0.4 recently. We now test if this migration test is ok.

  • ORA-12170 and TNS-12535

    Hello world

    My servers are in a separate location and we have access to our databases of my office.

    The developers say that they could not access a particular db of their machine.

    The errors they receive when they try to connect using a tool is:
    TNS-12535 TNS:operation timed out
    When I ask them to TNSPing or when accessing from Sql Plus(instant client), this is the mistake they receive:
    ORA-12170: TNS:Connect timeout occurred
    One of the developers using Oracle XE and it is too face the same scenario.

    So, where should I trace this problem.

    We have all been able to ping to the machine where the Oracle.

    Please advice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Virginia,

    Thanks for your reply.

    Is there a way to check via Oracle if the firewall blocks?

    Check the file sqlnet.log for more information.

    What is your OS?, if windows check in the control panel---> windows firewall

    If unix post the product.

  • create returns user ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

    Hi all

    I am trying to create user on Oracle 11.2.0.4 windows db.

    I get the following error

    create the user one identified by a

    Error in the command line column: 6:28

    Error report:

    SQL error: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

    01031 00000 - "insufficient privileges".

    * Cause: An attempt was made to change the user name or password

    without the privilege appropriate. This error also occurs if

    trying to install a database without the need for employment

    access privileges.

    When Trusted Oracle is configure in DBMS MAC, this error may occur

    If the user has been granted the privilege necessary for a higher label

    that the connection is active.

    * Action: Ask the database to perform the operation or grant administrator

    the required privileges.

    For users Trusted Oracle get this error, well that granted the

    the privilege that is suitable for the top label, ask the database

    administrator to grant the privilege to the appropriate label.

    Please may I know how to solve.

    I disabled Database Vault Account Management.

    This allowed me to grant privileges as user sys.
