Reverse engineering After erasing the repository.

Hello - I am new to this tool, but gain the traction quickly enough.

I have a team of developers. They develop several applications and we have used the designer to generate the DRE and structures of table (of course). Then, once the tables and relationships are definitely we develop PL/SQL in Toad without much more thought to the repository of the designer.

It was my mistake. I was told that it is policy at my new place of activity to generate all THE DML and DDL code from the repository Designer when it is time to move from development to test (and test-> prod).

Because I was not working under this assumption, that I need to synchronize the repository with the actual schema, we work in. Then, it is my goal to keep it updated progresses in the coding.

I have, since the design editor, all items in the deleted repository. Then, I capture the design of the server model.

The server captured model produces a lot of things listed in the box "procédure Définitions" (such as "CASCADE_DELETE1" by "CASCADE_UPDATE7") that I have no explanation for. In our schema all methods that exist in the package. In the server model browser it seems not be the case.

Can someone explain what I see, or can someone clarify whether or not I'm completely erase the model from the repository server?

Boy, I REALLY hate the way that designer stores PL/SQL in the repository. This is why we returned to maintain all our packages PL/SQL files with TOAD. But you do not have this option, so here's how it works:

If you do a server 'capture' to a PL/SQL package, each procedure and function in the package will become a separate module. That includes overloaded modules - this is where you get CASCADE_DELETE1, CASCADE_DELETE2 etc. Each of them is stored in a separate module, but if you look at the name of the implementation (one of the properties of the module), you will see that all the overloaded versions have the same implementation name (probably CASCADE_DELETE, right?). If the application name is null, it defaults to the short name of the module.

So what happened to the package itself, and how the repository knows that all these procedures and functions belong to him? You will find the package in packages and modules it contains are referenced as program of subunits, including the use of "INCLUDE" property Their order in the package is maintained by the property called Sequence. Look at the procedure or the Scope of the function property. If the field is private, the module is in the package body, but not in the definition. If the field is Public, the module is in body and specifications.

If you build the package, you should get all of the generated package, but if you build a single module, that's all you get - a function or a stand-alone procedure. A side effect interesting - you can have the same procedure or function in several packages, while including it in more than one.

I hope this helps. Ask if you need some clarification.

  • Reinstalling windows xp After erasing the hard drive

I want to sell my old Dell Dimension 3000.  I want to completely erase the computer before doing this for security reasons.  No Windows CD not supplied with the computer when buying in 2005.  I think it would be easier to sell the computer if Windows was installed, but do not know how to recover Windows on the computer after erasing.  So if I erase the HD what would be my best option to get Windows on it:

What I have to buy Windows XP?

Is it possible to download Windows from Dell on CDs for free because they CD did not come with the system?

Or other suggestions to divest itself of all data without erasing the HD?

    Thank you.

If you live in the United States, you can ask the Dell XP by completing this form. Dell peut charge you for the disk.

  • Can I recover my favorites After erasing the data?

I had accidentally erased my data for Firefox on my android phone and lost all my favorites. I got the app moved to my SD card before but did not synchronize my information. Is it possible that I can restore to an earlier date or save anything at all? Thank you

Erases data from Firefox should not impact bookmarks if you used Firefox interface.

If you have used Android settings allows you to delete data or uninstalled and reinstalled, then the data are missing.

  • Command line after erasing the hard drive

I work for a charity and have inherited a HP Compaq 6735 s in which the HD has been erased. I have no recovery disks. Simple question - how do the command line? The start menu is exactly that, a menu. Can I go out to a command line?

To run a command, you must first run a code it-such as files on the hard drive or a bootable floppy. There is no file on a hard drive wiped. Start with a Windows or other bootable media diskette.

You should be able to get the installation of HP media. Give them a call.800 - 334-5144 if you are in the United States or to the CA.

  • How can I retrieve all the favourites After erasing the history?

I just deleted all of my history on my Firefox browser and without knowing it, he took all my favorites with her. I want to know how to recover all the. I've never done a backup of Firefox and I just want them back. I had a lot of ideas for recipes and stuff and I just want them in my bookmarks folder.

Wow, that should not happen. Have you used the dialog box "Clear recent history" to clear your history, or another method?

To see if there is a loss of data or a display problem, you can check your bookmarks in the Library dialog box? You can open it using either:

    • "Show all bookmarks".
    • CTRL + SHIFT + b

If you click on the three categories (Menu bookmarks, Bookmarks Toolbar, Unsorted Bookmarks) can find you something in them?

If it's all gone, could you try using the rollback feature? This applies to your automatic backups. This article has the steps: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer.

  • Export of signal not cleared after erasing the task.

    Hello

    I'm a newbie DAQmx. Material: LabVIEW 8.6.1 with a USB-6251

I just put a Signal.vi of export DAQmx in the example of the impulse to dig of Gen.  He rerouted properly to the PFI cntr0 I chose but also left the default connected.

I removed the Signal vi export and represented the Pulse.vi Gen digging and found that the IFP had routed I always responded.  Can someone tell me what's supposed to happen?

More KB of aNItaB (which is a great resource whenever you are looking to export signal) note this counter output uses a "lazy uncommit' on the output terminals. Basically once you send a signal somewhere it will be routed to this line until you reuse this PFI line for something else. You can lighten the device reset routing, or just tristating line using the output Terminal.vi Tristate DAQmx.

I deleted the whole hardrive, including the recovery partition D with DBan.  Unfortunately, the recovery disks that I made will not restore Vista.  They work up to "Restoring presets.  Is there anyway to make this work without the recovery partition D?  If I order at hp recovery disks they will give me a full recovery or will I have the same problem without partition D?

    Thank you

recovery media ordered from HP has nothing to do with the partition d. recovery media a full OS, drivers, and applications. This HP support removes all partitions and restore the device to factory settings (no data for sure).

  • Cannot open the CR2 files in CS3 After erasing the memory card recovery

I accidentally deleted some photos from a memory card. I got the using software called "Recover My Files". Download the recovered files, but now I can't open them in CS3. I took these with an old Canon Rebel DSLR and they shouldn't convert, they opened while I deleted them. Any advice much appreciated. I really need these photos. Thank you.

Thanks, I ended up making another cover with freeware PhotoRec, it worked and I got all the pictures back. A bit fiddly to use but free. I must have downloaded software recovery of five or six, but many of them cannot recover very well raw files.

  • Impossible to download and reinstall the operating system after erasing HD

Yesterday morning, my iMac won't start.  It was fine the night before.

The progress bar reaches about two thirds to three quarters of the way to the end when the bar of progress disappears and I find myself with a gray screen. It does this by starting too.

I followed the advice of Linc Davis at https://discussions.apple.com/message/21333265 (hash) 21333265 (Note - I can't find the symbol of hash on my keyboard key so if you if know where he is, please replace by in the link - oh (hash) and tell me where it's too please ;-)).

I started the Revovery volume (now here actually).  Run Disk Utility/First aid finds no problem with MacIntosh HD (my boot drive). I can't find how to repair permissions.  The option no longer seems to be there. Reset NVRAM has nothing else that makes the iMac wonder my preferred language.

I used download and reinstall OS option.  The first time I tried to re-download El Capitan, it took 15 minutes and 45 minutes to install.  Installation failed leaving me to the grey screen again.  I think that the Setup program itself was trying to restart the iMac when he got stuck in the same place I'm stuck.  I left it there for about six hours before I tried to restart manually.

Tried to download the operating system again. This time, it was after using the recovery volume, select MacIntosh HD, by using erasing, then the option reinstall in THE.

I did two times now.  The first time I tried 'Erase and re - install' the download bar has got to a point about a third of the way across, and then he stopped. Time of download bar gradually got more and more long, up to what I canceled it (when the display estimated download time is six and a half).  The internet connection was problematic, or the Mac had stopped download (similar to the earier progress bar).  The second attempt to delete and download, the download bar has not yet started to progress.

My HARD drive has several volumes.

    1. The most important. My MacIntosh HD with OS 10.11.4 - El Capitan.
    2. The second, MacIntosh HD 2, is about 50 GB, a Mavericks installed on it.
    3. The third is 10.11.4 recovery volume.
    4. The fourth is another volume of recovery for the Mavericks.
    5. There is another called eDrive bulkhead.

Apart from MacIntosh HD, with none of these volumes I problems in starting up (with the possible exception of the Mavericks resumed, that I have not tried to access all since the update to El Capitan).

I used first aid utility disk several times, and no problems have been reported. I used the version of El Capitan permanently.

I can't understand why, after erasing the MacIntosh HD to do it again, I can't get the iMac to download the MacOS and reinstall.

    A couple of clues-

    • After his clear utility drive always reports what is MacIntosh HD. (When I restart, the dialog "Select Start Drive" only shows the volume of the Mavericks and eDrive)
    • Disk utility also shows "Apple Disk Image/OS X Base System."  OF THE said that it is ejection. But this button does not work.  I suspect it's what might stop download me the installer and start again.

I used e-drive to check the iMac and, in particular, the drive HARD; even performed a surface scan.  No problems have been reported.

Your 2007 iMac is too old to download OS X, you need to install OS X since the recovery partition directly. If this does not work then Yes, something is wrong with your HD run Apple Hardware Test Mode Extended 2 - 3 times back to back, if errors appear which confirms what I said. You will need the original DVD that came with the computer in order to run it.

  • Reverse engineering / import selected objects

    Hi all

I'm new to tool ODI and try to understand how to reverse engineer / import the selected objects? I am unable to do this.

For example, I have 10 tables in the database, I want to import / reverse engineer 3 of them, how do I do this at once? I'm able to do that, one by one.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Andy.

    Hello

Create a template to.--> selective reverse engineering-click---> check the new store of data and object to boning. Then, you can select 3 tables of 10 tables.

What do you mean by import here?

You try to import 3 ODI tables?

    Thank you

  • after reverse engineering, I still have the old deleted tables

    Hello

I dropped a table from a database diagram and go to ODI and run reverse engineering on my model that related to the schema of the database through my logic diagram, but the deleted table is still in my model? I want this deleted table automatically removed from my model...

ODI does not automatically remove the tables that have been deleted from the source when you do a reverse. You must remove them manually
