• 'cmd' right-click on link / files

  After installing updates (June 2014) on my laptop, I realized that when you click on links or files, I get the "this file has not a program associated with it". I check with Bing and Google for all the patches and apply it. I restart my laptop once more to see if it's fixed. Yet, I still get this error.

  I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit.   When I right click a link I used to get the page automatically open in a new tab, it stopped several updates it y a. I tried to repair but have no joy. There is a problem on the forum, but I do not run all of the addons that seem to cause this problem users.   This happens when a right click on the video or good Images. They work as usual. It is just text links.

  -Disabling the Extensions one by one

  None of this has worked.

  The question just about everything said. In the past, if I right click on a link and choose open in a new tab when I went back to splash page focus would be on the link. So if I then did a page down it would begin from the link. Now it starts, usually further towards the top of the page, so I end up back on the same thing. I would go back to the way it was, how can I do this?

  It seems that the culprit was a setting in Tab Mix Plus. In Options > events > tabs > content emphasis during loading non-empty page has not been verified. When checked, Firefox works as expected. At least as expected by me.

I want FF keep open media (like pdf and mp3) on the tab when I clik on it, as a general rule. But sometimes I want to be able to download a file, and I can't right click on it because that what I have is the address of someone gave me. If I type that address and press ENTER, FF will open the file in a tab.

  Who is supposed to be a keyword bookmark if you need to add a key word and call the bookmark by typing the keyword and a space and paste the link after it.

  I found that the ASK toolbar is the culprit. I have no recollection of ever install Ask and wanted not just her in any case. Withdrawal fixed the problem.
