RMAN backup fails

Hello
We back up our database with RMAN via NetBackup and we always have the following error (always on the same RBS_02.DBF file which is 26 GB):

PS: ORA-19583: conversation interrupted due to error

Action: There should be other error messages to help identify the cause of the problem. Correct the error and start another conversation.

Hi user522961

I found this solution on metalink

The NB_ORA_CLIENT and NB_ORA_SERV MML parameters are case-sensitive. So make sure you give these settings in the same matter by allocating or RMAN channel configuration, as it is set up in server to Veritas.

Difficulty:

Use DB_WRITER_PROCESSES instead of DBWR_IO_SLAVES in the init.ora for target
database as below:

1 do the following changes to the init.ora:

dbwr_io_slaves = 0
db_writer_processes =

2. stop and restart the instance to make the changes take effect.

Oracle recommends using DB_WRITER_PROCESSES if ASYCH IO is available in the
System.

FIX: Specify the correct Pool name
The 'settings' section, if necessary, change the value of
NSR_DATA_VOLUME_POOL so that it displays 'by default'

NOTE: The word "Default" is capitalized.

You can control it please that the driver reverse name resolution please?

Please control have also
(1) check libobk.so.1 incompatible (and other documented symbolism)
joints)
(2) backup to disk (on backkup_level0.rcv: published ' allocate channel t1)
type of disc ;')

make the ins_rdbms.mk ioracle, LLIBOBK-lobk = f

Please also read link: [http://news.support.veritas.com/dnewsweb.exe?cmd=article&group=veritas.netbackup.datacenter.english&item=13252&utag=]

The restoration works.

Can you please put the syntax of your command and the parameters of your rman session?

Thank you

    The block has already marked corrupt. As a result, RMAN ignores when you perform a backup of RMANDB.

    The simplest solution is to recreate the tablespace Undo in RMANDB. (Create a new Undo tablespace, alter system set undo_tablespace and then drop the old undo tablespace, preferably after a reboot).

    In this way, the RESYNCHRONIZATION for RDPDB command will access a new set of undo blocks.

    By default Oracle (database, listener) services to run under the LocalSystem account internal. This account is not allowed to write on disks shared for security reasons. And it is this account that makes the RMAN backup, not the OS user you are connected. Redefine the Oracle services, that they run under an administrator account (if you are in a domain, use a domain administrator account), see on metalink:

  • How to restore RMAN backups

    Hello

    I tried to include works of RMAN Oracle 12 c

    If I use the following command, I should have the backuppiece and the archivelog saved in a folder:

    RMAN > BACKUP database DATA PLUS ARCHIVELOG;

    If I ran this command in 4 different days, which I ended up having 4 folders with different inside files

    I guess that, in these files, I have the data files and the archivelogs

    Now I move these folders to tape, re-cutting the backups and delete expired

    Say that in a month, I need one of these backups if I put a band records and I added start with 'c:\path_of _restored_folder _L', so I added all files in the folder that I restored from tape

    Now, if I try to restore the basis of all is well but when I run the recover, it is missing some archiving logs it says

    If I put all the files for 4 days then he finds the archivelog she needs and pick up without problem

    on this basis I understand that in the folder containing a backuppiece of a specific day there is the newspaper of archive that I needed to recover from the DB, is that true? How can I know if the backups folder I need to replace in order to have all the required log archiving?

    At the moment my DB retrieves only if I handed out the Ribbon last backup folder, if I handed out the previous, it restores, but is not recover

    Also I have this configuration of the oracle recovery 3 days window maintains backups in order to be able to restore and recover the last 3 days and he simply deletes all obsolete if the FRA is full

    I tried earlier to set up the window of 3 days as a test recovery

    I ran a few backups and after that I ran the 5th FRA leak out of space and the backup fails

    I expect rman to remove the old backup and make way for a new that I have 5 backuppiece and the FRA is full, why he not do?

    Thank you

    The default behavior of RECOVER is to make a full recovery - right until the transactions today.  So it must all archivelogs.

    If you want to restore and recover to a point in time, use the SET clause to THAT specify a sequence of the newspaper or time or SNA.  Oracle will then not get beyond that point in time - that is to say he will not seek further archiving logs.

    (Ideally, when you restore an old backup, I also begins to restore the old controlfile, then using this controlfile).

    If you use the FRA in this way

    a. set db_recovery_file_dest_size and db_recovery_file_dest

    b. * not * used a FORMAT clause in the BACKUP command

    Oracle will recognize all backups in the FRA (you can check by querying V$ FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA_USAGE before and after the backup).

    In this case, Oracle can and will automatically purge outdated backups - that is to say any backup older than the retention period, provided that there is at least a L0 or backup complete closest to the retention period.  You should see messages to this effect in the alert of the instance database log file.

    I get an error when you try to run an Oracle database backup using a windows batch file that calls a settings file to execute RMAN commands. This is handled by the windows scheduler.

    It's been in place for several months and worked fine until today.

    Oracle Version - 11G 11.2.0.2.0

    OS - Windows server 2008 R2

    * Note *-I have changed for security reasons password and company information.

    Here are the contents of the batch file:

    echo: [email protected] > > \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log

    echo to: [email protected] > > \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log

    Echo subject: Max Backup log > > \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log

    RMAN @\\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.txt > > \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log

    copy \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log \\ccvmds51\c$\inetpub\mailroot\Pickup\email.txt

    del \\CCCODS09\c$\Support\DB_Backup\Max.log

    Here is the content of the Max.txt settings file:

    connect sys/password@maxof target;

    Run {}

    backup as compressed backupset actual additional database tag 0 = = "format='\\cccobu02\oracle\cccods09\Max\%T_Max-HOT-BACKUP-OF-FULL-DATABASE-AND-LOGS-DATAFILE-%U.BKP';

    backup as compressed backupset archivelog all delete tag all input = "format='\\cccobu02\oracle\cccods09\Max\%T_Max-HOT-BACKUP-OF-FULL-DATABASE-AND-LOGS-LOGFILE-%U.BKP';

    backup as compressed backupset current controlfile tag = "format='\\cccobu02\oracle\cccods09\Max\%T_Max-HOT-BACKUP-OF-FULL-DATABASE-AND-LOGS-CONTROLFILE-%U.BKP";

    }

    "exit";

    And here is the log file:

    Hello

    This is considered to be a bug for 11.2.0.2 version.

    Please see this document of MOS

    ORA-01008: RMAN backup does not work with assorted errors 11.2.0.2 If cursor sharing is turned on (Doc ID 1472116.1)

  • Database backups fail

    Hello Experts,

    Database backups fail due to compatibility issues, is the target database version 10.2.0.1, so RMAN version is running on 10.2.0.4.0, I have no idea how it happened and who did it before, now I have to take this issue... could you please give me suggestions on how to make RMANback 10.2.0.1 version.

    Make sure that you run the rman binary the same $ORACLE_HOME/bin as the database.

    If you run rman from a remote server, make a new 10.2.0.1 ORACLE_HOME install and run this House of Oracle rman.

  • Creating a new controlfile with RMAN backup data files

    Hello

    I use oracle 10g (10.2.0.1) in RHEL5 server. I am trying to restore a RMAN backup from one server to another server again with the new name of the comic. I took on the RMAN backup spfile and created her pfile and edited the file pfile with new dbname and directory structure and launched the db in nomount with new pfile. Today I restored the backup controfile RMAN has tried to put the database in State of Mount. But it failed due to the error below

    RMAN-03002: failure of alter db command at 21:44:56 05/11/2012
    ORA-01103: name "ORADB" in the control of the database file is not 'DEVDB '.

    So I stop the database and started the db in nomount with new pfile and tried to create the controlfile with new db name, but he didn't like it is looking for the data files.

    ORA-01503: CREATE CONTROLFILE failed
    ORA-01565: error in file identification
    ' / u01/app/oracle/oradata/DEVDB/datafile/o1_mf_system_80jq0kfw_.dbf'
    ORA-27037: unable to get file status
    Linux error: 2: no such file or directory
    Additional information: 3

    All my data files in my RMAN backup. How to get the data files of RMAN backup in the above scenario?

    Kind regards
    007

    restaurer restore as ORADB, then rename the database with DBNEWID
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dbnewid.htm

    or use duplicate instead of restore

  • RMAN backup Linux drivers shared on windows 2008 Server.

    Hi all

    I want to know is - it possible to rman backup to shared disk windows 2008 for a database of runnig under Linux.

    I tried it and getting rman-03002 followed by ORA-19504, error Ora-27040 and linux-x86_64.

    I used the following command to mount my windows share
    Mount-t cifs/o username = administrator, password = "XXXXXX" //172.16.1.50/files/MNT

    Hello;

    It should be possible. The ORA-27040 is

    "O/S-Error: (OS 3) The system cannot find the path specified."

    and the second error ORA-27040 seems to be an effect of the first.

     File create error, unable to create file

    Could be a permissions problem, so if you can mount the disk space windows, but cannot write to it (yet)

    There is a note of support Oracle that covers this:

    ORA-19504 ORA-27040 during Rman backup in a Directory Windows mounted under Linux [464267.1 ID]

    Which confirms, in my view, the answer is Yes.

    Further that:

    RMAN fail with ORA-19504 ORA-27040 when backup remote server linux [726858.1 ID] Windows Mount Volume
