RnR 4.3 on Win7 - for confirmation - PreBoot folder cannot be moved by defragmenters?

It's so, it's nearly four years since I've finally archived here!

I'm most certainly NOT what you call an "early adopter." So, it's that I've recently migrated my W700 XP Pro + SP3 32-bit to Windows 7 Pro + SP1 64-bit.

Migration went quite well, although it is a bit laborious and tedious because of the strategy "clean install" necessary for the migration from XP to 7.

Due to the clean install, there is of course now no Lenovo special partition on the machine (but with him being 4.5 years, which worries about no longer having a capacity of recovery plant?)

Do not have these special partitions, I was a little surprised to find that the blue ThinkVantage button still works for put me in if necessary PreBoot.  I think it's because the installation of the RnR 4.3 created which, in my view, that Lenovo is as a virtual PDA (Desktop before area).

Now - finally - I'm going to the basics and my question!  I note that the folder "Pre-launch" (what is there I think that life virtual PDA) seems to be protected against the moved by the defragmentation tools (my current favorite Defragmenter is PerfectDisk 12.5).  Immediately after the installation of the RnR4.3 parts of the contents of the folder PreBoot were scattered dirty like an atoll coral in the middle of a vast ocean of space otherwise free - and PerfectDisk cannot move them.  on his map of color circle, they were / are the same as the other structures of the system that I already know to be protected against the inappropriate color.

I managed to reduce this nuisance by booting from CD of Windows running defrag.exe system repair in order to consolidate free space.

But what I want to ask is whether this "good behaviour" of the contents of the folder PreBoot attribute is intentional and by design?  I am already aware that in Vista and go - but not in XP - the content of the System Volume Information folder are protected (by Volume Shadow Service, I think) to be moved by defragmenters.  The installation process of RnR4.3 was created so as to make the tests in the same way during good behaviour folder?  If so, I wonder why?

I would be grateful for any light anyone can throw on this point, if only for the sake of better understanding of what is happening "under the hood", even if I do business successfully with immediate consequences. Thanks in anticipation!

I have the answer to my own question.  The PXE is not intrinsically good behaviour.  Other users of PerfectDisk there could well risk a guess of wildass about what had taken place.  I had completely forgotten that I had at some point along the line marked 'temporarily' record in exceptional cases (that is, with the exception of defragmentation) in the control panel of PerfectDisk.  It's OK now.

Sigh, I said that he was nearly four years since I was last here.  I think it will be another four years before I dare see the my face again.  And then... to put things down in writing helped me to think things through... but still, I have to apologize for wasting the time of someone who has read the original message.

    Create accounts/passwords user on both machines. Then share on non-public directories (users workstations are good), "Everyone" access. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
