• Cannot open a PDF file from a link in another PDF file

  Hello, I'm having a strange problem on some of adobe readers my users. (2 users on PC windows 8.1)

  I created a "choser app' (see image below) which is essentially a 'choser from one easy page" for the different "forms", I created which worked perfectly until this week. Basically, there are 12 buttons and when the user press one of these buttons, the form chosen live / app opens that they can then fill out and send required title.

  However the 2 users who have problems, cannot open forms at all. They click on the button, but nothing happens at all. Software Adobe reader fits all just not as there are links to all.

  Choser 'app' works on all my PC users except 2, so I know it isn't an error in location or make updates etc... Someone at - it clues or ideas.

  I tried to go into preferences - manager of trust - internet access from PDF files - change the settings - PDF allow to access Web sites... but this made no difference to all the.

  is not serious I fixed it. If anyone else is having the same problem, so I fixed it by doing the following:

  Enhanced - Security Edition-Preferences

  Uncheck "enable protected at startup mode" - restart adobe reader software

  Oddly, I had not to uncheck it on any of my other PC users (Windows 7 & 8.1), but was necessary for some reason any on those trouble with opening PDF links from the 'app PDF selector.

  I built a custom file upload/download capability that works very well. The UPLOADED_FILES table has 2 columns that are used to access the contents of the file - a sequence number of a related table entry and a varchar2 file type. I have a built procedure that downloads the contents of my table UPLOADED_FILES. Now, I would like to be able to display a link in my report which allows the user to download the appropriate file. I can't get the right format. I need to pass 2 variables to the procedure - a (p_file) is a column name in the report, while the other (v_type) is a static string value "SUMMARY."

  Sorry, it is just spotted 'in the URL field. You should put in the Expression of HTML and remove all the settings link. The & works ok in there.

  I'm trying to get the bios for this notebook file, but what I find led to a softpaq installation program that works only on windows.

  That is right.

  As I said, I downloaded the BIOS files for some consumer notebooks and there is no BIN file to run in all other modes, but the operating system windows supported.

  Can download but do not run the BIOS file that you are interested in.

  Right click on the exe of the BIOS file you downloaded and select 7-zip file utility to extract the files to a folder.

  I can't make heads or tails among folders that you get, but you won't be able to run under DOS.

• Extraction of files from a time capsule that contains data of 3 different MacBooks. If I added a new macbook but I wanted only to select files. How can I find these files?

  Bill

  The correct method is to migrate. Use the migration assistant in the Utilities folder.

  However migrate doesn't have the fine selection you're after, if you do not want the entire folder like documents.

  You could find to manual aperture and copy the sparsebundle to Time Machine works ok... Use just traverse other disks of the main options of TM TM it in the dock.

  

  It might not allow you to recover files but I found that I could copy them into TM and then paste the files by jumping out to finder.

  Or you can migrate to another place is to say USB drive plugged into the computer and then retrieve files in a simple copy and paste... Although permissions can be a pain, and you must correct them before you can copy stuff to your own computer files.

  The Mac is in itself a system multi-user, whether you choose to create a user or a large number.

  All users you already created can be seen in

  System Preferences > users & groups

  The files for each user are kept separated, protected of the subdirectories of the Directory/Users:

  Assuming that it is an email account POP3, go to the message store and see if the messages are really there.  They must be located under the directories for the folder names under the main directory of local folders in the message store.  The store is located under the Users\ [username] \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\ directory and is hidden, so first go to control panel | Folder options | View and uncheck Hide extensions of known file types (so you can distinguish the eml files which are messages) and check the option to show the hidden files and folders.  Then you can see if the messages are in fact always there or missing.  See here for background: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm and also here for what may have caused it: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 as Bruce stated, if the messages are still on the server, you can set up your account again and then download them again.

  I have a fairly extensive site. Had to change a price in the text. Choose "download only modified files. And Muse download everything. Every bit of text, page, pdf format, jpg, svg. EVERYTHING. And always, it takes to download. I have download error all the time. My God what a waste of time.

  Why Muse have this strange behavior? Why is that it ignores the "only changed files?

  Moving that a guide can support a situation we should special case, but today it is interpreted as a change to the page causing Muse to regenerate the .html, .css and the images on the page. Muse then checks the fingerprints for files generated against the fingerprints for the same files on the server. If they differ, the new files will be downloaded.

  If the previous attempt to download complete successfully and save the .muse file, the next time the .muse file opens and a minor modification is made only the files associated with the modification will be generated and only really different files on the server are downloaded.

  If an error occurs Mid-upload, Muse returns to the re-generation and re - download everything, until a successful upload occurs.

  As mac_heibu says, Muse will regenerate all the files any time that muse has been updated since the previous download, due to changes in the generated code, image compression, file naming, etc.. It will then download only the files that are different from those previously downloaded.

  Looks like you're convinced that none of the foregoing explains behavior you see. It would be useful to be able to work with a copy of your .muse file to see if we can reproduce the generation of excessive file or download. Please send us the .muse file at [email protected] as well as a link to this topic for the context. If the file is larger than 20 MB, you'll need to use a service such as Adobe send & Track, Dropbox, creative cloud, WeTransfer, etc. file sharing. Thank you.

  By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You can't use iTunes to transfer files from iPod to computer song (except that you noted).  However, you can use a method of third-party or a utility to transfer files from iPod to computer song.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

  If your old computer is always accessible, with its iTunes library intact, the well best way to transfer your iTunes complete library, with all media and data to support (for example playlists, play account, ratings, date added, etc), is to copy your iTunes directly folder from your old computer to your new MacBook.  If possible, you can post back for further information.
