Rome 1 incompatible with my computer

so I want to play in rome total war on my computer its seven windows and was purchased in 2007, but the game came out in 2005, and the game says that it's incompatible with my computer tried everything please help

I play RTW on W7 64-bit, and after a little violin, it seems to install and run OK.

There was a recent update of MS which stopped in some versions of the game running, see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/kb3086255-is-this-a-half-baked-solution-or-am-i/13d4c03e-f04f-40b9-b438-e903eda3cab9 and workaround as of 18-Sep-2015, that worked for me and others. All the details are in the post and article KB of MS which is linked.

In addition, on W7 64 bit I should not install it in a folder created manually, rather than the default values, and there were a few updates to install in this folder as well. If I let him use the default automatic installation location then the game wouldn't go for me. More details - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/irome-total-war-will-not-run-in-wincows-7/8f0f5f78-b093-4469-9a9e-f6e958e696e4

If you can try to uninstall the game and then put it back in place in a specific manually created the folder and then install the patches on this same folder, then see if that runs. You may also need to play with the service mentioned in the first link above. Alternatively, you can try to update your video card drivers to the latest compatible drivers available for your model of PC and specific from PC manufacturers support web site.

If this does not help, please report it back with all the most relevant data, as any exact error message or the error number that is reported when the game fails, and the details of your PC and operating system.

  • Windows 8 Incompatible with ASUS UX21E-KX004V Ultrabook

    Hello Microsoft!

I recently updated my ASUS 11 "UX21E-KX004V Ultrabook to Windows 8, thanks to the discount offer available during the period that I bought the machine.

    HOWEVER

Windows 8 seems to be incompatible with this computer. He installed, started a couple of times without problem, but in the last days here is the problems I had:

    1. When you try to open a video file in windows Explorer, the computer turns off immediately. No blue screen, nothing. This has happened every time.
    2. yesterday, it wouldn't even get into windows at all. Arriving at my login screen, the computer shuts off immediately. Tried to run at least 5 times, same thing.
    3. today, this allows me to access the login screen and login to windows 8, but my WiFi does not work. The button on my keyboard shows that the wireless card is active, but windows refuses to believe. I can't get windows 8 to activate the WiFi at all.

I expect this type of problem from a beta version, still being tested, but not a copy of the publication. Please note that I had finished all updates to windows. There is no update of the driver available for any of my devices.

I reinstalled windows 7 on my machine and am not eager to see this garbage again for at least 6 months to you guys give time to fix it.

Thank you all for your help and advice.

I must admit that I got tired of closing Win 8 and ongoing fan running problems.  I did the F9 key at startup thing which enabled me to reinstalled Win 7, including all the drivers.

It did the trick and everything works smoothly in the butter.  I like Win8 but, just my opinion, I think that it is more appropriate for devices of the touchscreen cursor driven by applications.

    Hello Chuck,

I am happy that it worked. Seems it as LabVIEW 8.6.1 the incompatible product installer complained. In order to install the DSC to LabVIEW 8.6.1, module you will need to install DSC 8.6.1, as the module and LabVIEW version must match.

  • incompatible with Sync Center

My computer says that it is incompatible with "Sync Center". Is it possible to make it compatible?

    Hi Gail,

    1. what operating system is installed?

    2. which device is connected?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

    4. what program or application you are trying to synchronize?

Sync Center allows you to check the results of the recent sync activity if you have set up your computer to sync files to a network server. This allows you to access copies of the files on your network even when your computer is not connected to the network. Sync Center can tell you if the files synced successfully or if there are any warnings or errors in synchronization.

  • My brother mfc290c stopped communicating with my computer printer.

My dominsion Dell 2400 has a problem that I managed to install the printer on another computer, tried 3 times to get the cd to run the program through but failed. I could never get that ability to fax printers implemented when I tried I got error message missing fxscfgwz.dll. What is the best way to find & install this file. Also any ideas on why I can't download the original cd installing printer brother mfc290c on my 1st computer? Help!

    Debbe,

Please see comments from Ian Pugh and then stand out the answer of the "support engineer" as a 'response' - is not the solution to your problems.

You seem to have a number of problems, but you have not provided all the information to diagnose them.  Please describe what is happening when you try to install the printer. Be as detailed as possible. If you receive error messages, enter them completely, without paraphrasing.

That said the brother tech was wrong with your computer?  Usually, a technical support uses this kind of pointing the finger when they do not understand the problem.

You say that you have installed the printer on another computer.  What version of Windows is installed on this computer?  What computer do you intend to keep the connected printer?  Do you intend to share the printer on a local network?

Please, do the following in order to provide some basic information about your Dell 2400:

    • Click Start, then click Run, and then type msinfo32.exe in the "Open" box and click OK
    • After filled the system information window, click Edit > select all, then click on edit > copy
    • Then paste it (CTRL + V), the copied data in your response here

What were you doing when you received the error message about fxscfgwz.dll?  Normally, this error can occur when you try to install Windows XP Fax Services - but you should not be done for a device like your brother MFC290c.  Only install you Windows XP Fax Services when you use a fax modem - and your MFC290c is a stand-alone fax machine, not a fax modem.  Part of the software included on the Brother CD-ROM allows you to send faxes from your computer, but it's totally separate from Windows XP Fax Services (I guess it is possible that Brother PC - Fax using some of the files that are normally used by Fax of XP, which is why I asked what you were doing when the error occurred; normally when a third-party software using a Windows file (the file is included in the installation of software package, even if it is 'supposed to be' already available on the computer).

I tried redownloading drivers, but I get an error message that this keyboard is incompatible with Windows 7 and it wont let me start the CD.  I looked on the MS site for a fix, which is there, and I downloaded it, but it did not work.  I am always told the keypad and the software are incompatible.  I went through this process 3 times and now I'm frustrated that I spent $80.00 on a MS product that says that the site of MS is compatible with Windows 7, but it doesn't help with this computer.

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below
