• Android on EA6300 devices

  I recently lost a router and bought the model Linksys EA6300. Everything was fine until recently, when all devices that run Android (all brands of the BONE) and Android as OS could and should connect wirelessly to the router with no problems but could not and would not have access to the internet. This includes, heightens, my treadmill, Nook, Samsung Galaxy Tab, etc etc. All apple products, I own appear to be unaffected and continue to access the network and the internet without any problems via wireless with no problems. I have tried everything I know to correct to include:

  1. hard reset of the router.

  2. turn off the power and turn it on.

  3. the devices have wireless 'forget' the network and reconfigure.

  4 wiper all the settings on the router and start from scratch.

  5. reset to factory settings.

  I was able to work around the problem for some devices by going to advanced on the device settings and hardcode them into the gateway and IP information. Then, providing a DNS1 and DNS2 for google. It works for some that some of the devices; treadmill being one, I don't have the advanced settings option. It's either you connect and get internet or you don't have.

  All the world run into this mess?

  Thanks to everyone for the input. I'm going to use one word to describe the root cause: COMCAST. Support (myself) thought of it and called to fix technical room. Essentially, they took my 'customer owned modem' that I had for six months and a work with no problems on my account. Do not forget that I contacted them until I bought one and used a what they recommended. When I called them yesterday/today ' today they claimed that there was never any modem on my account. In any case, that's all. Things continued to work (Apple stuff), while the rest suffered without intervention.

  I got my update Android Lollipop (5.02) yesterday for my Sony Xperia Z2 (D6503) and I'm really disappointed when I realized that Sony withdrew Sinhala (Unicords) update stock Android Google Lollipop. I know for a fact that since Android Lollipop (5.00) in rooms, Google had relased their Android platform, including the SINHALA language.  I don't know why Sony removed intentionally, and I believe, as a big fan of Sony, I have a right to know!

  Sony has been a brand established in Sri Lanka for so long and even without official support there are many people using Sony designers. It's something unjustand unaccpetable. You will never know the feeling when you can't read your native language on your phone.

  I believe that the ability to use a preferred language is a right as a user of Sony and you took this right to me when you have removed the language SINHALA new update of your device.   I would like to show you how it shows me my language on my xperia from Sony Z2.

  

  I don't know any user of Sony you feel even if they were to see their language like that. Even Google traslator now are the Sinhalese supported. and remove my telephone is unacceptable.

  I hope that the Sony team will take this issue seriusly and give me a positive response. I'm begging you to include Sinhala at the least the next update from. There are 20 million people speaking Sinhalese in Sri Lanka and also aroud the world. Sony must have Sinhala. If I don't have a positive feedback, this could be the last time I buy a Sony divide again. I'm sure the feeling is mutual with every Sri Lankan.

  In the Android 6.0 update, we will support SINHALA rendering of fonts. This means that there are SINHALA content in an application, for example when you look at BBC Sinhala in Facebook, it will be made and you will be able to read it. However, the Xperia devices will not support Sinhalese as a language of the phone. We will not for example Sinhala menus.

  I have the KitKat update (4.4.2) on the meeting place 8 and like it a lot. No problem for me at all. My bluetooth keyboard would not work with 4.3 so 4.4.2 was definitely an improvement.

  I was under the impression Dell was re-released, but apparently not. If they do, I hope someone posts on this thread (even though it is dated). Apparently, it's still an open question.

• Send SMS with android phone and also using iPad

  I have a (Galaxy Note4) Android phone and an iPad (4th generation, just before the series of 'Air').

  I use a lot of text messaging and really wish I could get my texts on the two devices using the android phone number.  In the past, I used an application called "TextNow" which assigns you a unique number and number synchronization with two devices from the app store from Apple or Google Play. It worked well... I would get all my texts on two fairly transparent devices.

  I also watched Google Hangouts and the possibility of having multiple devices receiving the texts had been "fixed" in a recent update Hangouts. Thus, Hangouts no longer allows multiple devices of different platforms to access the texts on the same number.

  My question is... are at - it application in both the app store and google game that will allow you to send and receive texts using the mobile number rather that having to generate a new number?

  I'm not aware of something that doesn't require the other party to also have the same application, something like WhatsApp. The ability to text on the iPad is dependent on the connection device to an iPhone, because it uses the iPhone to send text. You can simply send the texts to the iPad.

  You can get an Apple TV and that you connect to the Android TV and use AirPlay.

  You have to ask Apple why the design has changed. You should still be able to delete songs by changing your selection of synchronization and synchronize.

  Or you can delete songs directly on your iPad and other iOS devices, directly in the music app or via settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage management > music
