Rotation tool

I'm trying to rotate an image of an arm to the shoulder by using the rotation tool. The default position of the tool is to halfway to the bottom of the image around the elbow, so I have to move to the top which is fine. However, then rotate the image, the slots point center back to its default position, move the image down. So, how to lock the position of the center point?

Thank you

The axis of rotation must be set up in the symbol, which basically means the symbol for editing and move the chart until they are placed where you want against the registration of marks of opening.  Then you place the symbol on the stage where he should be.

If there is some official rotation tool (not the tool free trandform) which is a feature of the new versions of Flash, you use ignore my offering.

  • Rotation tool - how to change the degree of rotation once the object has been rotated

    Hi all

I searched the forums and on the web for this answer - maybe someone can help you.

    Please see attached Image:

    Illustrator.PNG

When you use the rotation tool is at - there a way to change the degree of rotation, once the objects have been rotated. For example, I first selected 20 degrees and repeated step rotation, but I would like to change it to 40 degrees. Currently, I have to remove and re do the rotation. Is there a more effective way around that?

    Thank you

    Darren,

You can opt for effect > Distort & Transform > transform, possible monitoring of object > decompose the aspect when you're sure (more than).

  • Rotation tool rotates counterclockwise, when he must turn to the right.

Here in the United Kingdom, I thought when we have something turn of 90 degrees, the object would turn clockwise by 90 degrees.  For example, I have a standing lamp post in front of me.  If I rotate it 90 degrees with the axis, the basis, I expect keel right that I have in front, in other words, it rotates 90 degrees to the right, swing to there base.

However, when I go to Illustrator, create a new object, double-click the Rotate tool and type '90' and 'Enter'... and the object rotates 90 degrees to the left...

I don't even know if it's supposed to be like this, I searched online and could not find similar problems, so I don't know if everyone always turns things to the left by default.  I however find it paradoxical and would like to know if there is a setting that I can change or if there is a way to reverse this trend, so that I can rotate objects clockwise by default?

I look forward to any comments is on this...

  • extra frame created in the upper left corner of the scene when exporting .mov only when the 3D rotation tool

Hi, I really need help because my deadline is imminent, and I looked all over for an answer but have found nothing... I use Flash Professional CS6 on a Mac and have not had any problems to export before .mov until I tried to use the 3D animation tool. A copy of the first image in the upper left corner of the scene - but it shows not in the timeline panel, or when you test the movie. It appears in the preview by choosing export options and stays there during export. I did about 5 different tests and they all have the same problem - it will only go away if I do not use the 3d rotation tool. Problem is that I really want to use this tool to get the effect I want!

Thank you very much in advance!

I could easily create the same problem, even in the current version of Animate. The only solution I could understand was to put a keyframe of Tween non - 3D before where the 3D Tween starts. Just frame 1 look exactly as it does now, only to do tweening 3D pieces start from frame 2. It then exports frameless glitch.

  • Temporary rotation tool?

    Hello world

I work with an Intuos Pro 5 and I would like to know if it is possible to define a shortcut (or maybe already there) to rotate the view quickly. I know the "Rotation" tool and its shortcut "R", but I'm looking for a 'temporary tool', something like the space bar to move the view or Ctrl + click for zoom.

    Thank you.

I don't know how much faster you get with some other shortcut. Say you are using the Brush tool, hold the R button and don't let go until you have finished rotating. The tool snaps back on the brush button. Press the esp button to return to its default position of the image.

  • Using the Rotate tool - problems

I'm a newbie, but I know how to do this, at least I thought I did.  In short, I want to draw an ellipse, then use the Rotate tool to copy many of them, until I get a circle of them, using the lower part as the pivot point.  So if I want 36 steps, I put the angle to 10 degrees and copy, then ctrl-d to paste as needed to complete the circle.  The problem is, I can't get the pivot point for adapt to where I want to.  When I initially click on the ellipse first (and only), then my rotation tool, I then passes the pivot toward the bottom of the ellipse.  When I double click on the Rotate tool again to bring up the dialog box, the pivot point goes back to the Center.  Once the dialog box is in place, I can't set the pivot point more.  Furthermore, if I select the ellipse, select the Rotate tool, move the pivot point, then try ALT-click on the new point pivot, the newly copied and pasted ellipse will be elsewhere on the artboard.

What Miss me?  Thanks for any help.

Well I just found out the problem.  It's my Wacom driver.  I took my USB mouse and it worked like a champ, picked up the pen or the Wacom mouse and you never know where it will copy.  Thanks anyway.  At least now I know.

  • How to get the default rotation tool locate the pivot point in the exact Center of an object or a group of objects?

My new copy of the CC the default pivot set to one side, rather than at the center point. I know I can manually move the autour pivot point, but this is not always accurate. Is there a way to have HAVE determine exactly at the Center and then do this by default?

Pivot the tool rotation default to the center of objects and the text box (frame). For text of Point, it is by default the anchor of the line base, and for a group of Point text objects, or multi-selction defaults to the geometric center of an invisible shape formed by the collective reference anchors.

And you are right, that the setting of Center in the attributes Panel is not available for text of Point, single or multiple objects.

I don't have an idea for your particular workflow needs, but if I really need to turn a group of objects text around its Center Point, I could do this:

    1. Select the group, and copy
    2. Paste in front
    3. Vectorize
    4. Select the converted objects and text objects group, then select the rotation tool and the pivot will be by default the Center (of the converted objects)
    5. After turning, remove the converted objects.

  • Why used the work of my Movie Clip 3D rotation tool?

Im trying to use the tool rotation 3d for the first time. I have a picture, set as a (movieclip) symbol on its own layer. However, when I select the 3D rotation tool, it me does not change the clip. It shows me just the empty arrow.
Could someone please shed some light on this? The only information I can find about this tool doesn't work does not correctly is if you try to manipulate an object that is NOT a clip.

    Thank you!

    Hi Sarah,.

The screenshot shows that you have selected the 3D translation tool. Just press W to activate the 3D rotation tool (or click and hold on the Group of 3D for the suboptions tools and select the rotation tool). You should be able to use the 3D on this clip rotation after that. Let us know if there are any other questions.

    Kind regards

  • Problem with rotation tool?

    Hi all

I'm having a devil of a time with the tool rotation (Windows 7, Illustrator CS 6).

    I draw an ellipse.

I click R to get the rotation tool.

I put the 'anchor/Center' at the end of the ellipse.

I go to the other end and try to drag (or alt-make slide to get a duplicate) by clicking on the anchor opposite.

Nothing happens. My cursor moves the shape, but it does not turn.

Which resets then went back to the rotation tool.

What I am doing wrong? I followed the video and they do it very well. Is there a setting I'm missing?

It's frustrating, so I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you very much.

The ellipse is selected before activating the tool rotation?

  • How to get the value of the angle of view rotation tool?

    Hello

I want to rotate the brush tip with the rotation tool to view, given how it works now screw to the top of my brush strokes.

(compare the two lines here - features on the right are made with the rotated view: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/2016/psnightmare.jpg ( )

I found how to change the rotation brush tip on this page:

    http://www.PS-scripts.com/BB/viewtopic.php?f=25 & t = 2801 & start = 15

But how do I get the value of the angle of the tool and rotate the display...?

As far as I know, all you can script with the rotate view tool is to select the tool itself. Unlike most other tools, you cannot use same tools preset with the display rotation tool. So I don't think it's possible set or get the angle of the view.

You can also test the setting of the rotation brush with your brush settings. There may be questions if the brush is a sampled brush and the brush in your screenshot looks like a sample brush for me.

  • My rotation tool does not work? (FreeHand MX, Mac OS 10.6.3)

    Hi all

Recently, I loaded FreeHand MX on a Macbook Pro.  It seems to work pretty good, except that I can't get the "rotation" tool to select. I added this tool to the default toolbar (using ' tools/customize bar' but when I try the select, the cursor returns almost immediately to an arrow or magnifying glass (whatever earlier).) So to rotate objects I had to activate/view transform handles, or use the transformation dialog box and type in my values. The first solution works pretty well, but I would really like the tool rotation basis to work!

I read last month in the forum of people have problems with FH and OS 10.6.2. someone said 10.6.3 solved their problem, so I upgraded to 10.6.3 before FH MX is loaded. But I wonder if it is a 10.6.3 compatibility issue, or if there is something I can do for menus, preferences or restart, which would make this work tool. I need a solution that does not reload the software of my disks on the fly.

If you can help solve this problem, much appreciated! Then, I would have just my usual get-used-to-MX learning curve (I normally work 10 Freehand on an old G5 and Mac OS 10.4.11).

    Thank you!

    Ben Pease

Make sure that you have added the button of "Rotation" of the tools/commands group.

There is another icon "run...". "in her edit > Group of transformations. This button opens the transformation for the rotation options panel.

  • Broken rotation tool

    Hello

I am an artist and Illustrator and I use the tool rotation probably one thousand times for a given day, forever, I rotate the canvas to my natural arc of my arm. Well, since this update I get a message saying that only active OpenGL windows work. I used to get this problem once in a while if I was doing something on another screen for awhile, but now he is stuck with this problem. I can't help that can fix it. I uninstalled My Nvidia drivers and reinstalled them. I also have Photoshop CC uninstalled and reinstalled... 2015.5 that it won't work.

I can't work without rotation photoshops tool. I need this problem now!

You see is not the problem you see in 2015.5 CC:

If Mohammed tips do not help, you can try a reset preference:

    Manually; course may be cancelled:

    http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-Julieanne-Kost/how-to-reset-Photoshop-Le file-Preferences-cs6s.

    Fast; cannot be undone:

Win: Press and hold the keys Ctrl + Alt + Shift immediately after the launch of Photoshop starting. A box will appear asking if you want to continue with the reset, select 'yes '. If you don't see this, you're not fast enough... Try again.

Mac: Press Cmd + Opt + shift then launch Photoshop. A box will appear, asking you if you want to continue with the reset, select 'yes '.

  • Rotation tool broken?

With the help of cc2015, I can't set the rotation pivot with alt-click. I see my cursor 'catch' the pivot and moving it around, but do not let it go, for minutes at a time, and then he finally let it go at random and the rotation dialog appears... This is unexpected behavior and makes it uncontrollable. I'm doing something wrong?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Raphael,

In addition to what Mike says it's a known issue that Illy (Adobe Illustrator work description) can be disturbed (perhaps even sometimes took assault) by a whole bunch of usual suspects, so she is confused. The known list of suspects usual forms pos.7) less than 5 years) in the list below, which is once again a list of General corruptions/chess/strangenesses that can cause trouble.

Some of the unwanted interactions can be difficult to heal, I'm afraid. In the recent past, there have been a few very coherent/repeated inconsistencies between Illy and later Mac OSs (which you were lucky enough to avoid), where each new version of the OS (re) would be annoying problems (usually immediately after they have been resolved in the other).

    Edit: Hi Mike.

Here is the entire presentation (which may be relevant (also) at other times, if you are unlucky enough):

If the things that must operate simply refuse of (other possibilities exhausted (and carefully making sure you perform the necessary things (all))), try the list below.

Sometimes, (some) things may fail or stop working for no apparent reason. When (other) possible reasons/remedies do not work, it is perhaps a kind corruption (temporary or permanent), or even preference settings which disturbs, which can be cured with something on the following list put in place in order to provide a catch-all solution for otherwise intractable cases. It starts with a few easy suggestions and safe) 1 and 2) for cases less serious and goes two ways 3) and 4) to reset the default preferences (easily but irreversibly and more laboriously but more completely and also reversible), then follows a list 5) various other possibilities, and it ends with a complete reinstallation 6). If no other suggestion doesn't work, or if no other suggestion appears, you can start on the list and decide how to go or who can apply.

The following is a general list of things, try when

    (A) the question is not in a specific file,

    (B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and

    (C) It is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).

You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted/inconvenient preferences); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/preference-file-location-Illustrator.html

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

More serious still (it can be serious because you may need to restore the plugins and whatnot if you've customized things), you can:

6 (A) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences, if any), B) run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) and C) reinstall. You can try without step B), but sometimes it is necessary, because otherwise things can persist.
