  I want to turn a series of cells upward or down to the nearest round number according to them being below or above the median.50.  IE: 16.34 becoming 16 and 16,79 become 17.  The cells can contain up to six figures (plus the two decimal points.)

  There is a function in figures aptly called "ROUND()" that takes two arguments:

  Round (number, places)

  num is the value to round

  places specifies how many digits to round

  assuming that the data is in cell A1, you can round the value as follows:

  = round (A1, 2)

• Why the numbers app calculates a slightly different result than my calculator?

  If I calculated on my ÷ 41 161 calculator I get 0.2546583851, but I get the numbers 0.2552795031. Why this discrepancy? It is throwing my spreadsheet unhinged as he rounds automatically when we reduce the decimals to 0. Please notify.

  I don't want to be too technical... but each calculator has a different precision. It depends on the hardware and software of your calculator.

  I'm still pretty new to perform calculations of script and thereby an individual seems a bit more complex for me.

  I am trying to determine the difference in percentage between 2 numbers and display the percentage as a whole number. Logically my calculation looks like

  (numericField1 - numericField2 / numericField1 * 100)
  (e.g. 1000-850 / 1000 * 100 = 15%)

  I need help with my math and especially round the % to an integer. I wouldn't have all of the answers posted as 22.66666%

  The code below is somethig I tried

  Adobe is actually this really simple for you.  If you use a numeric field to display the result, the display for the field template will control the way number.  You can set a percentage pattern:"num{zzzz9.99%}" to control how many digits will be displayed, and how many digits will be important beyond the decimal point.  If there is more than numbers, Adobe will automatically complement number.  In the attached example, I used the boss

  "{zzzz9 %} num" to ensure that only a whole number will be displayed.  Adobe uses the normal rounding rules: 0-4 rounds down, 5 to 9 rounds.

  In addition, the percentage will automatically multiply the value in the field by 100, so you don't need to do it in your script.

  For the attached example, I added your script FormCalc calculation to Calculate the result field event.  The script is now simply:

  (NumericField1 - NumericField2) / NumericField1

  Adobe takes care of the rest.

  I transferred my data from old iMac (mid-2010/Mavericks) numbers to a new (end 2015/El Capitan). In addition to the fact that I can't use the wonderful version of iWork and I'm stuck with a version with an annoying interface, numbers will not work correctly.

  I have a table to track the interactions I have with my students online. In a column, I record the time spent in particular student tutoring. Although the numbers transferred the old data to the new program, it won't let me enter the duration in. I can't copy and paste. And since I get paid according to time spent, it is a crucial column.

  How can I fix it?

  in the column on the left side of the iTunes window where it shows for example that number piece is played in a particular selection, on my mac, not every number is registered. Before each issue was the show in its entirety, after that I must have clicked on something accidentally column now looks something like this:

  It seems to be no regular pattern, the numbers that appear entirely seem to be chosen at random. Another observation is that the column with the number does not have a position, even if I don't remember if that was the case before the problem arose.

  I tried to adjust the size of the column by dragging the column, open iTunes full screen and also removed some categories of view option to create more space for the numbers. Everything I tried had unsuccessfully, unfortunately, can someone point me in the right direction please?

  Someone else posted about it recently. I think there may be a way to adjust the font size in views or somewhere. Also report the problem to Apple:

  In some forms of web (e.g. What strikes a new note in Evernote Web), I can't type the numbers 1, 2, 6, 9, or 0. Typing '1' or '2' jumps out to an another changes in typing "9" or "0" tab open the font size. Type '6' does nothing I can see easily.

  I use OS X 10.9.5 and Firefox 38.0.1. I think that this problem was introduced with Firefox 37, if I'm not completely sure.

  I'm setting up a pilot logbook and I need to keep track of when I lead some approaches to the instruments for the purposes of recency.

  For example, the last time I did a VOR approach was April 20, 16.  I need the numbers to recognize the "VOR" text and give me the corresponding date.  I'm having numbers give me this date in a separate table.

  Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

  This is a roundabout way. Perhaps another user will display a more elegant way.

  

  Table 1 is a version abridged your journal of driving. Here is table 2:

  

  Table 2 uses the SIERREUR function to place "" (NULL) if the SEARCH fails to find a match between the value in the header line and an entry in the log of your flight.

  Otherwise, it inserts a value (The FIND returns the starting position of a string in another).

  Now we've found BK VOR (and fill to the right) and SID.

  Columns needed for approaches more more!

  

  Table 3 is a Date of any cell in table 2 which is not "" (NULL).

  Formula in A2 (and fill down and fill the right)

  = IF(Table 2::A2≠"",Table 1::$A2,"")

  You can type this than = IF (table 2::A2 <>"", Table 1: $A2, "")

  3 numbers will change <>≠

  Formula of the cell footer of table 3 (for column A, then fill to the right)

  = MAX (A)

  To improve the 'presentation', move (copy / paste) 2 Table to another worksheet (TAB). The formulas will adjust automatically.

  This changed in the transition from Numbers2.x too 3.x.

  Unless you explicitly removed numbers 2.x, it is always installed and usable on your computer.  You can locate it in the folder "/ Applications/iWork ' 09.

  You should be aware, that numbers 2.x cannot open files saved numbers 3.x - you can export files from Numers3.x back to Numbers2.x by using the item of menu numbers 3.x "file > export to > number ' 09»
