RT3290 driver for Windows 8 cannot connect wireless Cisco

I have HP Pavilion g6 (a month old laptop) with Windows8 pre-installed with Ralink RT3290 chipset. I am able to connect to the wireless router NetGear at home but unable to connect to the router Cisco Wireless to work. My friend has Lenevo Windows8 and Intel Centrino Chipset and this computer connects to the Cisco router with no problems.

I tried the latest version of the driver from the Microsoft Web site, but that did not help either.

Everybody in the face of this problem and has a solution?

Thanks for your reply.

I don't any you NPT message of error. Just a message that says "unable to connect".

back to 8 drivers older than Windows.
I am not able to find a driver from previous versions of Windows 8 for the Ralink card. I checked HP Web, Ralink and Microsoft sites. If you know the location please send me a link - which is useful.

* The second link shows how about all the other things that could be the cause of the connection problem.
Regarding that I know how to connect to the network with encriptación WEP wireless. I do this at home and able to connect to the wireless network with WEP encrypted home - so all of these things mentioned are not a problem.

I firmly believe that the Ralink driver is a problem. As I said that the Lenevo Window8 with Intel Centrino chipset has no problem, connect to the Cisco router.

Thanks again!

Try this driver from hp support. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5229455&prodNameId=5229457&swEnvOID=4132&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-113862-1
I have the same problem after recent Windows Update the Ralink driver. The drivers of hp seems to work very well.

Games for windows live cannot connect to the internet, this problem started last week when I tried to play Dawn of war 2 online. At that time I was running Vista Ultimate 64 bit and after exhausting all existing boards on this site and many others, I decided to completely format my PC and start again with Windows 7 64 bit, but I have the same problem exact. only now my profile is no longer stored on my PC because I formatted so I can still play offline.

After trying to connect, it says "the profile could not be connected to LIVE. "There may be a network problem or the Windows Live ID service may not be available" option on the GFWL client network status says:

My router is supported and I am in a country supported direct (UK). This my independent being, but I also experience certificate errors when you use Microsoft sites, which is strange as I said that the Web site of the company that developed the program that I use is dangerous. It's my totally finished in guys any help would REALLY be apreciated. Cheers.

I can't believe ive finally resolved, hours after validation. the button on my motherboard battery had been dislodged and my date and time have been reset in 2009, whenever I stop my PC. everything is working fine now GFWL working and no more certificate errors.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 2247 g7: using Windows 8 - cannot connect wireless rt3290

According to the Windows Compatibility Center RALINK rt3290 wireless driver is not compatible with Windows 8, I guess that this computer has been upgraded to Windows 7 to 8.  The computer belongs to a member of the family and seems to last 6-8 weeks is therefore more able to turn on the WIFI.  After several hours to review all the options available, I went to the Windows Compatibility Center to find that the rt3290 is not compatible with the Windows 8 operating system now on this laptop.  Y at - it a bet on day of the rt3290 to make it compatible driver or another wireless driver that can be installed to allow internet access via a pilot wireless that can be downloaded or is it necessary to connect to an external wireless router to get connectivity?  I have the opportunity to use my computer to download a compatible driver to a flash drive and then upgrade or install on HP laptop.  Someone else has solved this problem with their computer compatibility to the rt3290?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Tecra M1 cannot connect wireless

    Hello

This new but I hope someone can help me.

I'm having difficulties to connect to a wireless network with my Tecra M1. I think that the problem could be with the card Intel (R) prowireless MiniPCI LAN.

I tried to reinstall the driver for it, but nothing worked. I access the access point Via a cable but cannot connect wireless.
I reinstalled the software PROSet I printed user's guide, and he tells me if he have Driver version "1.2.4.41". I have Driver version "1.2.5.34" installed on my laptop and this seems to be the only one on the Toshiba site, so I can't find "1.2.4.41" to install instead of '1.2.5.34 '.

Any ideas where I can find this driver? I tried to let windows manage my wireless connection but not able to connect. I also tried free config but it couldn't connect either. All above can see the available network but cannot connect. Any ideas on a resolution. I am trying to connect via a router belkin G + MIMO.
No problem connecting via a direct cable.

    Thank you

    Hello

have you tried to connect with another machine to check if it works?
Otherwise, I suggest the following things:

    -Disable all security features
-update the firmware on your router
-dhcp instead of IP´s sets the value
-read the manual of the router, sometimes they have weird parameters

and finally and most importantly, try to connect with your M1 to another access point to make sure that you connect your machine to a wireless network.

    Welcome them

  • DeskJet 3050 has: updated printer driver for Windows 10

I can't update my driver for Windows 10 (don't know if its 32 or 64 bit).  HP support to download drivers updated seems unable to detect my printer even if bluetooth is turned on for both. Any thoughts?

First your printer doesn't have Bluetooth? How do you connect your printer now? Please download the software and the following driver and install on your computer:

  • Windows 7 cannot connect to a shared printer (error 0x0000000d code)

I try to add a laptop to my home network and can not get the printer to connect.  Everything is wireless.

The main PC uses Windows 7 Home Premium.  32-bit operating system.

The new laptop uses Windows 7 Professional.  64-bit operating system.

    The all-in-one is Kodak ESP9 + 0250.

The laptop recognises the printer on the network, but I get the error message: Windows 7 cannot connect to a shared printer (error 0x0000000d code)

Any ideas on how to make the printer connect?

The usual reason is no driver on the laptop. You should install the drivers and the software of the printer on each computer on the network. Once this is done, it will connect well. The network itself, will show the printer as a gift, just the laptop won't connect ' cuz he doesn't know how.

I hope this isn't a disaster in the making.  Recently, I've had this laptop and have tried to keep everything up-to-date.

The update that failed is titled "Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10".  I tried to install this update several times now without success.

I think that the laptop supports Atheros 11 b/g wireless network card, so you will need to install the Atheros Wlan driver.
