Run ADF on Websphere...

Hello

About to run ADF 12.1.3. on Websphere, you want to know if there's anywhere summarized practices? Thank you

-Liang Yi

As far as I know, this is not supported: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/121300-cert-2164864.html#ApplicationServers

11g has been certified WASv7 so maybe you can find some tips here: content

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Frank,.

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, when I run the project without adding the model ADF runtime library he runs correctly with good security of WS and call the Service method.

I have the problem of debugging and found that the problem is with respective of XML parsers.

The ADF model run-time library uses the pot following 'D:\Oracle_New\Middleware_New\11117_New\oracle_common\modules\oracle.xdk_11.1.0\xmlparserv2.jar' of XML parsing where as the Axis2 project client uses the pot of open source for "rt.jar" of XML parsing.

Yes, by following the below steps of the project of the Axis2 client with module of rampart run successfully.

    1 unjar the filexmlparserv2.jar

2 change the entries in the file in the META-INF/services as follows:

    • for javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory replace oracle.xml.jaxp.JXDocumentBuilderFactory withcom.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl
    • to replace withcom.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl oracle.xml.jaxp.JXSAXParserFactory javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory
    • to replace withcom.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.trax.TransformerFactoryImpl oracle.xml.jaxp.JXSAXTransformerFactory javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory

3 re the file using the jar jar command.

4 copy this new file xmlparserv2.jar in the directory Oracle Middleware installed.

    If the problem is resolved.

    Thank you

  • "404" error when running ADF Applications using Weblogic / OAM / Webtier

    Hi Experts,

Our organization works on the implementation of Weblogic 10.3.5 on HP - UX 11.31 / PA RISC hardware.

All is well enough to work, but we met a particular hurdle and I hope I can get some advice from people here in the forums.

We have virtual hosts within the Weblogic web layer for different areas. We also have Oracle Access Manager configured to protect some web resources (to force the user to authenticate to access the page). Each virtual host is configured to use the https protocol, and we have SSL certificates installed.

The problem arises when trying to deploy an ADF application for weblogic, then run it through one of these virtual servers. We want these applications to use https only. Mod_wl_ohs has also been configured to forward requests to the web layer weblogic.

App deploys fine, and when you try to access the app, we are redirected to a login page by OAM, which is what we want. However, when the application starts to run, it seems that ADF is adding to the URL query parameters, and when he does this, redirecting to https, which causes a 404 error. If you manually add the 's' on the URL, the application loads and works very well.

    For example:
Say the url of our application is
    https://foo.mydomain.com/MyApp/faces/search
Navigate to this url redirects to the login page. After the connection, we headed over to something like this (the actual settings vary):
    http://foo.mydomain.com/MyApp/faces/search?_afrLoop=7078069345015890 & _afrWindowMode = 0 & _adf. CTRL-State = yvpch8hdh_4
    .. which returns a 404 error.
If put us the 's' on the url, it works as expected.

Why is this happening? Why is redirect to the login page staying is not in https?

To facilitate debugging, we created a very simple jsp page that was not developed using ADF, and deployed in a similar way, and he remained in https after redirection from the login page.

Is this a specific problem ADF? Is something that needs to be configured in the ear file deployment of JDeveloper?

Any advice would be much appreciated...

  • Running Coldfusion in WebSphere applications

I am an administrator of a WebSphere network deployment 6 installation, and I have a client who wants to launch his Coldfusion application in WebSphere. After reading the documentation online, I see that it is possible (although perhaps of EAST 6 th edition is not supported yet), but I'm not clear on how this works.

    For example, the documentation:

    http://livedocs.Macromedia.com/ColdFusion/6.1/ibmdocs/Install_.htm

    application to do the following:
    1 install the ColdFusion files.
2 deploy the ColdFusion J2EE application.
3 configure ColdFusion in the Configuration and the Migration Wizard.
4 activate the specific functionality required by ColdFusion applications, such as the Verity search engine.

This is a server of separate application that must be installed and running on the machine of WebSphere, or is (for example Coldfusion libraries) necessary included in the J2EE .ear file which the developer hands for me? I have as long as a WebSphere Administrator would play all of this installation and configuration, or are these all measures that the developer runs in the process of conditioning its J2EE .ear file?

Thanks for any help you can give on this fundamental question of course!

All standard Java bits are included in the EAR file. However,.
ColdFusion comes with additional features such as Verity indexing
and an ODBC-JDBC bridge that run as separate services (and can be
Windows-only). If your developer uses these, they must be installed
so and it is not part of a standard EAR file deployment. Your
developer should be able to say more about those.

When we provide an EAR file, we perform most of these tasks when
packaging of the EAR file so all that's left for the WebSphere admin is
step 2 "deploy the ColdFusion J2EE application.". You should consult
your developer to see how much it costs and how much you need to do for him.

  • Not able to run jspx Pages of BPM Application by using built-in WLS JDev ADF

    Hello

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6, model: BC4J

I created a BPM Application in JDeveloper, with a process and a ViewController ADF for user interface project and a model project
The application is deployed on the WLS and works when I test it in the workspace of BPM.

But the UI of the ADF is based on custom of the database data and is a bit heavy UI with lots of data and features.
I am trying to create entire user interface in taskflows separate and use as auto generated pages created by the plugin BPM in JDev position regions.

Can I deploy the entire application and test it in the workspace of BPM, but it takes a lot of time for the process of generation and deployment.

So I tried to create a stand-alone page in the ADF ViewController project and use the ADF taskflows in the page to test in JDev integrated WLS.
So in this way I can concentrate on test only the ADF UI related code and not worry the BPM process to test the user interface. (Assuming that the process works well).

Please note that I don't want to test the BPM process (at this point), but I want to test only the built-in ADF UI of WLS.

When I try to run the stand-alone page in WLS, it gives me the error below.

Has anyone tried to run ADF UI pages in a BPM Application using JDeveloper.
Is there another way to test only the pages of user interface instead of deploying the entire BPM to WLS?
Is there a setting etc, we can change and turn the page in JDeveloper?

    Thanks for any help

    -----------------------------------

    Hi Sameer
    1. I know exactly what your condition is and what you're trying to do. I'll go with a few assumptions about what you have and on the basis that I say, unfortunately NO, that you try will NOT work. But there are other ways to test your stuff.

    2. you have a bpm, i.e. with a single process bpm application and a Web of TaskForms project (which has taskDetails pages that use your JSFF of fragments using the af:region tag). Don't forget to build the TaskForms project by selecting a. File TASK etc. You have a lot of things db backend and I hope that you have created entities, EJBs and DataControls. Then, you create links in JSFF etc. Everything is deployed on a full SOA domain fleded and you're good. BUT Yes, it is very tedious and painful to test. I agree.

    3. now you want to test only UI part without any process and tasks. To do this, you try to deploy on field of JDeveloper's integrated WLS and it does not work. Yes, it will fail, and it will not work. Because the domain default wls is a simple domain with just core j2ee and some modules of adf deployed. BUT your TaskForms also has some modules of bpm/soa. In JDeveloper, select your project TaskForms-> right click-> properties-> libraries project and Classpath-> right side, you see a lot of modules BPM for ex: Module of BPM. If you view it, you will see the modules (jars defined in this ex: bpm - services.jar). NOW your integrated domain name do NOT have these deployed modules, and so you get exactly the error that is entirely logical.

    4. go in your area/config integration jdeveloper and open config.xml file folder. Open the file config.xml of your entire standalone soa domain also. Search for "oracle.soa.workflow.wc" in these two files. You will find this soa area but NOT in the area of default jdeveloper. It is the question.

    5. now, you can not make your name domain integrated to work for SOA/BPM applications. This requires a lot of effort to add all modules and corrupt your domain also name. I would not recommend this.

Now, is there another way, you can test your pages of fragment that has stuff heavy backend. Yes. In your app JDev, create a new Web project with only the ADF modules. Remember when we create an application for the PIA, it creates 2 ViewController and model projects. So everything you want is create a new ViewController project that has all the web, jsff, javax, adl added modules. In what you create DataControls for your EJBs and create or copy Fragments that you already have. Then create pages of simple jsxp as hell01.jsxp, hello2.jspx etc and include your fragments using af: region etc. You can deploy your application to the exclusion of TaskForms on domain JDeveloper. As to the level of the EAR, creating a new deployment profile. Add all (EJB) projects, including the new project viewcontroller except for process and TaskForms. I am convinced that it will work. Then you test your JSPx files directly their performance:
http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello1.JSPX (assuming that the file jspx is under folder contenuWeb)
    http://localhost:7101/myViewWeb/faces/hello2.JSPX

If none of the fragments needs input data set, you can still create a PageFlowController class and have life like prepareModel etc. methods to define the criterion of data entries. Assign to this pageflowcontroller the pagedef. So every time that you run jspx, he calls this controller pageflow. Or just have a few fields on your screen jsff that stores data and a link to a managed bean. In this way, test you and certify your screen jsff, connections, ejb code backend db stuff etc etc. Once it works, it will work if you put this jsff in file taskDetails.jspx also with maybe a few minor changes.

If you want to really test your UI and all the backend without too much stuff to focus on the tasks of process / and NOT using soa domain, then this is the only way to go. I wouldn't recommend updating JDev field with stuff of soa/bpm. This is just my 2 cents opinion.

    Thank you

  • Foglight can monitor the WebSphere Process Server?

You have experience in the monitoring of IBM products like WebSphere Process Server WebSphere Application Server-based? What about Portal Server?

    Thank you.

Technically the Java agent monitors the Websphere server and whatever it is current running on a Websphere server support.

We have customers using the agent Java for trade and Portal Server, I have not personally tested with the bailiff, but if it's a version supported Websphere server it should work.

A couple of things I've seen with Logon/trade:

    1. in some cases, there is a need to play with the settings of the instrumentation to exclude classes called many be instrumented.

2 transformation of URL is necessary because the URLS have parameters embedded in them, which makes the demand model are growing very fast.

An example of transformation of URLS can be found here

    https://support.software.Dell.com/Foglight/KB/62707

    Hope this helps

  • Chrome 32 and ADF Faces

    Hello

(JDev 11.1.2.4, Windows 7, VMWare Fusion)

I'm having some trouble running ADF Rich Faces on Chrome 32 for Windows.

This version introduced to INTERFACE custom elements replacing the use of the native elements, such as scroll bars, and check boxes. Now, I am unable to drag the scroll for a table with the mouse bar. I can still use the scroll wheel to move though.

Also, I'm getting Page Unresponsive warnings from time to time I've not seen before in previous versions. The application seems to work fine despite this but the popups are obviously entertaining.

Finally, I get some strange messages in the Journal JDeveloper window:

    [3524:4056:0116/145629:ERROR:desktop_root_window_host_win.cc(746)] NOT IMPLEMENTED

I saw no browser related messages like that before, no idea of what their generation.

I realize that this is a new version and still will not tested/certified by Oracle, but I'd like to see someone else is seeing the questions, or if it's a specific problem with my application.

    See you soon,.

    Kevin

    Good news!

Chrome has upgrade "Version 32.0.1700.102 m ' and the scroll bars are working again.

In my stable memory this morning, I didn't notice the other problems either. So it seems that they were connected or at least fixed in the same release.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong... I have instaled weblogic 10.3.1 several times and don't get errors like that...

    Help

Well, the two wires are for older versions, the problems described are resolved now.
All I had to do is the second solution of the first thread (change nodemanger properties).
Then start the node Manager, then the administration server. The first time, you must start the server managed via the administration console. After all, stop and start again all servers are OK.
Have you checked that the Ast targeting libraries to your managed server?

  • Update Application of Adf faces the new Version

    Hello

I have a running adf faces application with jdeveloper (11.1.1.1.0), I want to update
my currently adf application to the new version of adf faces (11.1.1.3.0).

How can I update the application?

Jar files that I could spend? or some works that runs the application in the new version of jdeveloper?

    Thank you.

As far as I know, you cannot run JDev 11.1.1.3 ADF applications on WLS 10.3.1 - you must upgrade to WebLogic 10.3.3 first.

  • ADF: Toystore tutorial for JDeveloper 11 g Release 1

Hi all! I tried to run ADF Toystore demo (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/adftoystore.html), which is made for JDeveloper 10 g and I had a lot of mistakes. I did everything according to white paper (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/adftoystore/readme.html).

After trying to run index.html, I get this error:
