Run-Time Error 339; Componene MSCOMCTL. OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing or invalid

Opening application TecBasic V for the second time and received this error.  Why does this happen?

Umesh,

I did it.  The MSCOMCTL. OCX file is in the SysWOW64 folder and not in the system32 folder.

Why this app would work one day and not the other?

That's what I have on my Windows 7 64-bit machine.

MSCOMCTL. OCX C:\Windows\System32 1 069 376 2009-12-19 14:28:16 2009-12-19 14:28:16 11/12/2010 09:52:54 an OCX

Why don't you try copying the file from one place to the other?

Some general things to try.

See if the system restore will go back you to a restore point before your problem with Explorer, OR try the System File Checker.
