  Is it possible to run a process when the user leaves a page?

  Let me explain:

  On a page, I have an automatic processing of the line (DML) and a process of PL/SQL. These two processes are running when users click on the apply changes"" button.

  Is it possible to run these two processes ALSO when user leaves the page (click on another tab)?

  I want to do this to make sure that the changes are saved, even if users forget to click on the button "Apply Changes".

  Have you looked into using a pl/sql dynamic action page unload event?  I've never tried, but if you set the item values in the first stage of dynamic action and then run a pl sql routine that mimics the DML, it can work.  Given that the action would fire after each unload page, probably also needed validation to provide he fire during normal processing.

  Some extensions or toolbars can add such a report.

  Well this problem started a week ago. When computer first starts or restarts (I did not open any program still!) I get this message,

  I know this usually occurs with internet explore, but as I said I do not have anything yet open. I've activated all the active X controls in internet explore with no luck. I searched the web for active x forums and blocked the editor and followed all the instructions in the error message (most of them see enabling active x) but without success. I am an advanced user (15 years and more), but it has left speechless me. If I try to open "Services", I get the same error. When I opened my anti virus, it opens but it is just a blank page. I know that my anti virus is working well.  Also if I open internet explorer, I get a blank page, if I go to a website (enter it or go to my favorites) it works fine. I've deleted all the temp, historical, cookies etc. etc. (use CC Cleaner and other programs to clean) but if reopened once again it says white. If I use help and you want to see a help topic that it is said (may not display due to problems of congestion or network, check connection) but internet works fine. I know that I have not a virus (a lot of people in the forums think it) I scanned with Bitdefender, Eset Nod32, Super Anti Spyware pro, Malaware Anti Malawarebytes, Spybot, Stopzilla, etc. etc. and did not find a virus (in safe mode) there are many people on the web with the same problem (with the same and some with different programs). This problem seems to be random (does not affect a certain program) I tried for a week now and I'm stumped! Anybody have ideas that I heard yet?

  Hi Morksr2d2,

  As you mentioned that the problem reappears as soon as you run the anti-virus program, it seems that we found the cause of these error messages at startup.  I would like to recommend that you Uninstall the antivirus & check if the problem reappears. This should also allow you to make changes on the services tab in system configuration utility.

  Later, reinstall the antivirus program.

  Hi dmrmultimedias,

  I guess you are referring to the script error using the installer online.  If so, the DPI setting has been identified as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% installer will return the script error.  If your DPI setting is set to something else, please set it to one of these and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

  To check/change the DPI setting:

  1. start the control panel and go to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display

  2. in the left menu, select the custom text size (DPI)

  3. in the custom configuration Windows DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down

  4. Select OK

  5. Select apply

  6. open a session/disable

  7. online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  This is planned which will be fixed within two 2 weeks.

  I need to truncate a collection when the user leaves the current page and navigates to any other page in the application.
  
  The only way I can think is the execution of the APEX_COLLECTION. TRUNCATE_COLLECTION (collection_name) in the onLoad of each page section. I have about 100 pages. I would add this process on each page?
  Is there a way I can truncate the collection when the user leaves the page?

  You can create an application process in shared components, type your pl/sql code within the process and give the appropriate condition so that code is applied to all pages in the application.

  In case you, I think you need an application process with
  On Submit: After presentation, Page - after calculations and Validations.
  Make sure you that you specify a larger sequence number so that this process be completed after all of them are made.

  Or if you want that the process of running before the loading of each page, you can use
  On load: before the header (page header Template). develop process for the application process.

  Since it is a part of the shared components, this code is executed for every page, and therefore the collection would be deforested as where you want to.

  At my work we have many databases on a server. I have to make a request so that users can run the application on a selected database SQL scripts.

  So my question may be separated into 2 sections:

  1 - is possible to let users SQL scripts run directly from the application?

  I think a database to create a page that displays the list of all the SQL scripts, that we want to use, and when you click on a specific script name in the list, it asks something like "Where the database you want to run the script?", and then, as confirmed by the user, it would show results running the script on a different page.

  is 2 - possible to let users choose what database to run these scripts?

  Any information would be helpful, I'm at the beginning of the project and am not sure at all about how to proceed, or if it is at all possible.

  Lol the only way to run scripts in the APEX is the use of the SQL Scripts for SQL workshop component.

  The key word in your question is 'application '. SQL * more and Developer SQL are applications that allow users to run SQL scripts on the desktop. Scripts SQL is an APEX integrated application that allows developers to run SQL scripts on the web. However, there is no documented way supported for end users to run SQL scripts in a custom of APEX application that you created. Therefore, rethink your approach. Rather than create an application APEX runs scripts, you must convert the scripts in PL/SQL, APEX packages, pages, components and applications leverage features of the APEX and reports, graphics and interactivity (e.g. exploration links; timed refreshes etc.).
