  I'm a guy essbase/planning being introduced to the world of FDM and I have a custom webscript base that runs a .bat file that needs to copy some files, no maxl, just a simple COPY of MSDOS commands. The script is the following:

  When I run the script FDM appears "the script was successfully run" with no errors in the log, but the files are not copied.

  I want to run a script directly from FDM Essbase without needing to use a .bat file.
  I went to hollow post where calls MaxL scripts are discussed, but I have not found anywhere, there is a solution for sending a script to essbase.
  
  I have problems connecting to essbase using already existing and subsequently adapter configurations send an essbase script to the server. This is done for example in the Load event - where the essbase data are disabled. I would need assistance on how to implement this kind of soluition in the event script for example BefImport.

  A couple of things to note.

  You must pass a 1 as the first parameter to use a file as a calculation script. Note that a calculation .csc script example files that are in your database and it's called AggMonth.csc you would spend in:
  Set objHWRerurn = API. IntBlockMgr.IntegrationMgr.PobjIntegrate.varCon.DataManipulation.fCalculate(1,"AggMonth")

  If you use 2 as the parameter to the fCaculate function, which means that the calculation script is a string, you can search for 'Essbase calculation chain' in the adapter to see how it works.

  If you really want to use a .maxl script and not an Essbase calc script you do not use the fCaculate function and will shout to essmsh.exe with parameters that does not use FDM adapter functions.

  PS You can also configure features of validation in FDM and assign scripts to those and then tell FDM you use 'file '. For the planning/essbase, it makes more sense to have just a script probably the method you follow.

  In General if the Upgrade Advisor does not work, your XP machine is not appropriate for the upgrade. But without knowing anything on your computer, it is impossible to say more precisely. Is it an OEM machine (HP, Dell, etc.)? If Yes, go to the tech OEM Web site and see if anything but XP is supported on your machine. If there is no drivers for Vista/Windows 7, leave XP on it.   I have configured the RAID 10 storage because it will be a critical environment in the future. I have everything works very well for vSphere and end Site Recovery Manager, for the underside of the storage configurations.

  Total space available after RAID 10 is 2.61 TB and I set about 1 volume to with 1.5 to for replica on both sites, 500 GB for the infrastructure servers which I am not reproduce (all expect thin provisioned protected virtual machine)

  The problem with my setup is whenever I have perform a recovery of Fail-Over and then Reprotect for restoration, I need to increase the reserve of replica to the minimum that is mentioned in accordance with the image attached. Given that during the test phase I just 5 VM 40 GB each and available space is 1 TB, I wanted to know why he wants me to increase every time the reserve line although I mentioned like 200% and if I'm not wrong whenever he tries to take a full scanning replica I don't want to happen and it should take just the changes of the base replica.

  When you set up replication first what you set up for the amount of reserve of replica at the site in "prod" (protected from SRM)?  I wonder if this is set to 0, trying to replicate back maybe it's why it asks you to set aside space for the moment 'DR to prod' replication.

  To take advantage of any default return changes make sure that 'keep instant failover' is checked in the configuration of the replica.

  Please clarify then. Are you talking to a menu command in the drop-down menus? If so, you can also use:

  app.executeCommand (app.findMenuCommandId ("the MENU COMMAND NAME"));

  This will run a menu command, but keep in mind that it is not always stable. Simply place the name of the menu item that is case-sensitive in double quotes.
