Safari in listening

Today my Safari has stopped working properly. I can't type anything in the web bar and everytime I open a new tab it seems to get rid of everything that has been opened before. Text in the bar Internet seems to overwrite itself.

I'm not sure what to do. Safari running 9.0.3

If you go to--> search Safari preferences and uncheck the box 'suggestions Include Safari', then restart your browser, you go back to all the features.  Apple is aware of the bug and are working on an update to fix it.

  • Should I install Adobe Flash v.10 required by Pandora on Safari, but not on Chrome?

    I listened to Pandora Internet radio every day on my iMac with Safari. But today, I can't even connect, because the site requires that I have install ' Adobe Flash v.10 or later. "

    Then I open Google Chrome and tried Pandora, and it worked very well, automatically connect me as usual.

    Is there a virus trying to get into my iMac by Pandora in Safari? I'd be worried?

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

    No, you do not have a problem. I went directly to the site of Pandora, and he says the same thing.

    If you have updates Safari to version 10, that is why the message. It's a deliberate safety Safari change. Even if I already have the latest version of Flash installed, Pandora is blocked from knowing this, until I click on the link. I then clicked once to allow him to use the Flash and then the site. However, then it seems to get stuck in a loop do not know Flash is already installed and active and told me to get and install Flash again.

    The link also takes you there directly on the Adobe site if you have not installed Flash and is the only place that Flash should always be obtained.

    In any case, it seems that the new version of Safari does not work as it should be with Pandora.

  • streaming no longer works after update of safari

    I've updated to el capitan 10.11.6 and safari 10 and now I can listen to more of this site is:

    http://riogranderr.player.camzonecdn.com/v1.0/CamzoneStreamPlayer?channel=riogra nderr & amp; IFRAME = yes & amp; czlogourl = & amp;...

    Instead of display live images, safari will download just a huge text file. I can still listen to in Firefox, so it must be safari which has messed up. Please correct.

    I managed to download an older version of safari and it works as before. Hoping that nothing is wrong, I'll use it until the next version of safari arrives...

  • Problems with videos from Youtube on Safari

    Hey there

    Since last week, I had trouble finding a solution to the following problem:
    Whenever I want to watch a Youtube video, plays only the audio, the video-'box' is black (btw. I can't click on play or stop in the area of video, only on the play button). While I can listen to any video that I like, so it seems good to look at, too.
    My recent research on help-forums that everyone on the internet led me the assumption that this has something to do with the new HTML5 player that youtube has installed. However, advice on these forums seem to be outdated, because I'm no longer in the HTML5 test mode, so I can't uninstall it.
    Further investigation led me to the opinion to change my settings from safari by changing the 32-bit mode, that appartently, my new MacBook Air model is no longer able to do.
    I also installed the latest version of Flash Player, which however seems irrelevant, for the new HTML5 is now independent of any flash device, as I concluded.
    But I confess that I am rather ignorant of IT-stuff, or whatever the correct term for the issues that I am.
    In addition, it's my first time asking for help on a forum, but I found it necessary because none of the problems I encountered were exactly that I'm having.

    So thanks for your help

    Please disable all extensions Safari and test. If the problem is resolved, re - activate the extensions one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • I am running version 9.0.1 version of Firefox, and now I can't play movies from Netflix. They will play when I'm on Safari. On Firefox, when I get to the 'game' in Netflixt, it says download newest Silverlight, so I don't do ANYTHING. ???

    I listened with Netflix on Firefox for a long time. I prefer just this browser on Safari. Last night, I was told at the sight of Netflix that I needed to upgrade my Silverlight plugin, so I did. Now it will not play on Firefox, but plays fine on Safari.

    -> Firefox connection settings

    Check and tell if its working.

  • The ad blocking and Privacy Extensions for Safari

    Hello.  I have two questions really.  I often watch videos using sites such as Vodlocker, thevideo.me, GorillaVid, beststreams, streamin.to, vidzi.tv, etc..,.

    1. What are the best extensions to use Safari block ads, menus, embedded, redirects and especially pop-under?  I have AdBlock Plus, but it doesn't seem to block ads and work well with redirects or pop-under.  And Yes, I already have the box checked in my security settings to block pop ups!  (In my experience, it doesn't work well.)

    There are also Ublock, Ka-block!, Wipr, Adamant and Glimmer Blocker I know.  The problem is the Gallery Extension Safari no longer allows the notice of any extension, which is ridiculous.  Not being tilted technologically, I relied heavily on reviews!  For the life of me, I do not understand why Apple has stopped allowing customers.  Ublock caused some sites Web works is not for me.

    2. what privacy extensions work best?  In general, for general use in computer science and in conjunction with ad extensions?

    I would like to find the best combination of ad blocking and security extensions.  Unfortunately, I am not versed with those who is so advanced, requiring the user to enter and write the code to prevent certain types of advertising.  I'm open to hearing all the tips and suggestions!  And thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply and help!

    There are a few easy steps you can take to improve your privacy on the Web.

    In the Safari menu bar, select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ Extensions

    An inventory of the extensions you have installed, as appropriate. A few Safari extensions are adware or spyware. Carefully read the privacy policies or the terms of use. Delete everything that you don't really need, or you are not sure.

    An extension that you may want to install is called "Ghostery." It blocks tracking cookies a lot. Extensions "ClickToFlash" and "ClickToPlugin" prevents Flash content from loading automatically.

    If you have installed hacks supported by advertising as "Glims" affecting the Safari, uninstall them as instructed by the developer. Doing so will improve the stability of Safari, as well as your privacy.

    In the Safari Preferences dialog box, select the Privacy tab. You have the option to delete data, such as cookies, stored on your computer by web servers. You can delete all of these data, or only some of them remove by clicking on the Details button. The other parameters are little explicit.

    On a more advanced level, you can change the DNS servers used by your computer or router, to find the addresses of all the Internet servers that you use. In general, the best choice from the point of view of privacy is to use the DNS servers of your ISP. Your Internet traffic goes through the network of your Internet service provider anyway, so in theory, there is no loss of privacy in the use of its DNS servers. Avoid third party DNS services such as "OpenDNS", which is in the business of selling your information to marketing specialists.

    Consider using software like 'GlimmerBlocker' ad-blocking, which also blocks certain forms of abuse of JavaScript that can be used to track you. It is only suitable for advanced users, and it can block some web content you want to see.

    This comment is not an endorsement of any third party software. Do your own research before deciding whether to use the software.

    When you use a public network such as a Wi - Fi hotspot, don't forget that others connected to the same network may be able to listen to your network traffic. They will not be able to read the content of this traffic, if you connect to Web sites secured like this, but they know the addresses of the sites. It is the same for the e-mail and Messaging. Public VPN services to sell as a solution to this problem, but using these services may have a serious security and privacy implications.

  • Firefox seems not to support new BBC radio player. Safari is ok with him.

    I am a frequent user of BBC radio via the net. The BBC has re-vamped its player and this afternoon [01-04-11] I tried listening to Radio 7 and Radio 4 to check. The panel of Auditors appeared, but there is no noise that either on direct listening or "Tapped" yet I now listen live R7 via Safari.

    I didn't have problems before with Firefox and the BBC

    I had this problem too, but fixed it. In my case, I was using the Flashblock extension. Add to white list of bbc.co.uk has solved the problem. People that you may be using some sort of filtering of Adobe Flash? Pls leave a comment so that this is the case or not.

  • How do the 5 server not listening on ports 80 and 443

    I want to configure an Apache Server on a Linux virtual machine (using the last VirtualBox) on my Mac running El Capitan 10.11.3.

    5.0.15 server is already running on the Mac (and I want to keep it, with the exception of web services). I have disabled the sharing in the web server user interface, but it was not enough, Apache listening ports 80 and 443, prohibiting VirtualBox to listen to them and transmits them to the Linux virtual machine.

    So I put comment out these lines in /Library/Server/Web/Config/Proxy/apache_serviceproxy.conf:

    #listen 80

    #listen 443

    8008 #listen

    #listen 8800

    8443 #listen

    8843 #listen

    After a restart, Apache seems not to listen to ports 80 and 443 more. However, VirtualBox does not become the listener. I tried this command in the Mac terminal:

    -i sudo lsof: 80

    and nothing has been returned, suggesting that something in OS X still prevents VirtualBox to listen to ports 80 and 443. If I try to convey some random host port of Mac to port 80 in the virtual machine, then I can my virtualized server access from Safari on the Mac host via the custom port said. But I would use the standard port 80.

    Any help really appreciated.

    Instead of commenting, assign a specific IP for the server listen instead of * (which means that all the IP addresses). This is only to the server on port 80 and 443 in this config file. I sometimes give an additional IP address to the Ether. Your Linux Machine can connect to the second IP address or the first initial assigned to your server depending on your configuration.

    Server is very aggressive in it's use ports, he leaves so all services to operate, even if you have the use of ports to other IP addresses.

  • I can't have the function of sound when I want to listen iHeart radio online?

    In the past when you access a radio station local on Firefox I would click the "listen" live and the sound would be activated. One day it didn't work anymore with Firefox although the audio works fine on Safari.

    You ask about Firefox on Mac, or Firefox on iOS?

  • FileReference save - bug Safari for Mac

    Hey guys, I'm running into a bug with FileReference save on Safari for Mac. All other OS and browsers work fine.

    I do something like this:

    var jpgEncoder:JPGEncoder = new JPGEncoder (_imageQuality);

    var _byteArrayToSave = jpgEncoder.encode (_bmpd);

    var _myFileName = "myFilename.jpg";

    var _fileReference:FileReference = new FileReference();

    _fileReference.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, _completeSaveHandler);

    _fileReference.Save (_byteArrayToSave, _myFileName);

    My '_completeSaveHandler' function will never fire on Safari for Mac, and the pdf file is not saved.

    When I run the above code, I get the OS' save dialogue, and when I click 'Save' to save her dialogue, dialogue closes and nothing happens.

    Clues why this would only occur on Safari for Mac?

    Thanks for the note kiran1989.

    I added a listener for the IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, and I get no error.

    The encoder Jpeg (using the lib of adobe), and save jpg feature works for all browsers on Mac 10.7.5, except for Safari.

    It seems that Safari doesn't save any file type - as I tried to save a PDF file (using the alivepdf library), and same story - works on all browsers except Safari Mac.

    Note that the FileReference save work in fact for all browsers on PC, including Safari 5.1.7 on PC.

    No online FileReference don't save examples work on Mac Safari 6.1.5 10.7.5, either. For example, try the example with Mac10.7.5, on this page (there is a SWF a little under the title "Examination of the sample request"):

    Loading and saving local files with the FileReference class. Adobe Developer Connection

    I'm 10.7.5, OSX Safari 5.1.7 on PC and Safari on Mac (same number on 6.1.3) 6.1.5.

    Update: I tested on a Mac with the latest OS (10.9.3) and FileReference record works on Safari with this version of the OS.

    So this bug is a problem specific to 10.7.5 OSX and Safari. I believe that Safari uses a webkit engine which is cooked in the Mac operating system, so it's probably a bug with the real operating system.
