  • 2012r2 servers not report to WSUS after installing these updates

After the installation of the following list of updates, all three of our 2012r2 (two physical, a virtual) servers have ceased under the WSUS running on a machine 2008r2. Before going through the process of uninstalling each of these updates one at a time, I wanted to see if someone had experienced the same thing. There is no error message about the service update on any of the servers 2012r2. The notification only I see is in the interface WSUS where he said the machines were not reported in since these updates have been installed. The updates have been installed on different days on the machines, but once installed, they stop immediately notification in.  Here is the list of updates:

    The WSUS is version 3.2.

The latest updates in 2012r2 came down the pipe to the WSUS server. After being approved, the servers 2012r2 all found new updates from the WSUS server, install them, and the WSUS server relates now that they have all checked.

This seems to have been a temporary problem.

  • What's safe to install 9.2.1 iOS?

Fiasco from Apple launching v9 etc... I am extremely reluctant to update my iPad Air 9.2.1. Apple says it needs to address security issues, but they have said in the past. Versions 9 and 9.01, 9.1 done considerable damage - especially for the reception, storage and recovery email and I am NOT prepared to go through this again.

Although version 9.2 seemed to resolve key issues, it is far too early to know if he was sure, and we now 9.2.1.

You notice that the editor for the iPad yet do not format the initial characters of each paragraph (see this post). He is a current sign that things are not completely fixed.

Yes, Apple has lost my confidence, not without good reason.

Yes. It is completely safe to install. Updates are made to solve the problems.

    Quote-

    Summary of the issue:

We are aware of a potential problem that you may experience with the latest updates to Office security.   When you install these updates, the Windows Update control panel returns the error 646 or 0 x 80070646.

    Technical details:

Error 0 x 80070646 or 646 is a MSI installer error that won't happen when the updates are installed via the Windows Update control panel.  Workaround solution previous to solve the immediate problem requires the installation of the update to a standalone package starting from Microsoft Download Center.  We do not recommend this workaround solution.

If the Windows Installer logging is enabled, the following line must be identified as a symptom:

Error 1606. Could access the location %APPDATA%\ network

    Cause:

The problem is potentially a result of an incompatible, incorrect environment (%AppData%) as variable shown below:

    Solution:

    1. open the registry editor.  To do this, click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit.exe in the list programs. In the user account control dialog box, click on continue.

2 go to the following registryHKEY_USERS\ keys. DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    3. the correct and should be the default value forAppData % USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming. To edit the value, double click on Appdata, then change the string in the value data field.

    4. close the registry editor, and then try Windows Update again. (A restart article be required).

    5. If the problem persists, repeat the steps 2 to 4 with the registry keys:

    ·        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell dossiers\

    ·        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell dossiers\

  • I couldn't install some updates on my computer, a message appears still saying cannot install updates

I couldn't install some updates on my computer, a message appears always saying updates cannot be installed, so please advise, thank you.

    Hello

    a. you get an error message during the installation of the updates?
    b. could you list the updates or number of kb updates that fail?

    Method 1.
Windows provides a built-in utility that can automatically find and fix some problems with Windows Update.

    1. open the Windows Update Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.
    2. in the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under system and security, click Fix problems with Windows Update.
For more information, refer to the article below.
    Problems with installing updates
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

    Method 2.
Try also download and install these updates manually and check. Visit the Web site below and look for the number of update and choose the right operating system for the update and try to download and install.

    Method 3.
We can try to reset the Windows Update components and check if that helps resolve the issue.

This article helps you reset the Windows Update components. So that we can reset the Windows Update components for you, go to the "Fix it for me" section. To reset the Windows Update settings yourself, go to the section "Let me fix it myself".
Please see this article for steps and additional information.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
    Method 4.
If the problem persists, check the Windows Update history and check the code error or error message.
    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.
    2. click on the link to view update history.
    3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
    (a) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.
    (b) click on close when finished.
    I hope this helps.

  • Need to manually download these updates: KB2936068/KB890830/KP2922229/KB2949660/KB2950467/KB2950145

Original title: has not received the final XP updates and can't download them manually

I got automatic updates today, but they do not seem to be the four final updates mentioned in summary for April 2014 Microsoft Security Bulletin and many press articles.  I have automatic updates turned on, tried futuring time to update and reboot several times and went to windowsupdate.microsoft.com several times to check the updates, but he repeats to me "no priority updates for your computer is available."

When I review my editing history, it shows 3 updates received today:

Update cumulative security for IE8 (KB2936068)

Tool to remove malware from Windows (KB890830)

Update security for Windows XP (KP2922229)

The bulletins that describe the final updates according to the technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms14-apr and many other items are:

MS14-017 vulnerabilities in Microsoft Word and Office Web Apps could allow Code execution (2949660) remote
MS14-018 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explore (2950467)
MS14-019 vulnerability in the Windows file management component could allow Code execution (2922229) remote
MS14-020 vulnerability in Microsoft Publisher could allow Code execution (2950145) remote

I tried the search download site of Microsoft for these ID newsletter and numbers, but nothing comes.  How can I be sure that I received the final updates?

Yes, if your PC is not connected to the Internet, you should be ok without these updates as well. However, if you plan to connect to the internet, consult your Windows Update history once and see the latest orders. In addition, in order to install these updates, Office 2007 Service Pack 3 must already be installed in the computer. It is usually installed by Windows Update automatically, but if you have not already installed, it could also be a reason why these updates were not available to you through Windows Update.

If you do not want this issue more, you can post in this thread. We are happy to be of assistance.
