Safely put to update windows
first on the last three days, I tried to fix my laptop, my laptop was unbearably slow (like 20 minutes to get to the office) which was to install a game, so I refreshed the pc and everything was fine (should have restored but I thought that the discount has the new restoration) so I tried to install all updates windows (all 112 of them) and after hours to install something went wrong and he tried an auto repair that did not work and said it was something wrong with the srt file trail.txt. I have fixed only after trying a lot of different things on the three days but now im afraid to update windows because it's the second time a broken windows update my computer laptop (first time he had to be wiped) so is there a safe way to do all of these updates without making them just a?

To activate the automatic update try the following steps:

Press or click Choose how to install the updates.

I doubt they use all that much space (compared to your stuff) - and if you run lack of space - it is a different matter. a not better resolved by removing the updates/patches. :-)
Do not delete those using Add / Remove programs. That would be, at best, careless. To uninstall, so that updates are, do not remove the updates (updates would be removed automatically when you remove the product that they fixed.)

Update Windows stuck in a loop. Keeps trying to download page 3 of 3, but never does, then restarts and is trying to download. Can't stop the loop to try something else.

I found this as a solution and to share it here, I still have questions, but thinking might help someone.
Windows Vista and 7 update Reboot Loop Fix
Symptom: You have a update that is causing Windows Vista or Windows 7, stuck in an infinite loop. The problem usually manifests as a "step 3 of 3:0 % complete...". "followed by a restart which starts at the exact same message, not allowing you to get on your account of connection or a desktop at all. It's a pain, and he doesn't stop, even in Mode without failure or advanced trying last good known Configuration in the start menu.

Anyway you do it, this solution will stop the engine update loop reboot and let you return to your computer. You may need to make some corrections, additional or manual updates if you have problems, but unless your login screen and/or the Office should be accessible! Is a very annoying problem and I noticed that Google is looking for things like "stage of vista 3 3 restart" usually only provides information about how to run the system on a Vista DVD restore. Unfortunately, if there is a problem with an update, sometimes the system restore does not work and fail with obscure errors, so this info is vital.
Maybe it's your last chance to avoid giving to the top and reinstalling Windows, and we always like avoiding relocations!

The ACPI from Toshiba x 64 compatible driver certainly means a 64-bit version!
I put t know why Vista driver update notification indicates a 64-bit to a 32 bit OS driver, but usually the 64-bit driver should not be compatible with the 32 bit OS.

I ordered the Dell XP disc and did the re-install. It works fine now. The Dell technical support had me do some updates on the web as well. I have not had problems since. What happened with the automatic updates completely wiped out my operating system. At least I don't have to buy a new computer.
If nothing else works, try reinstalling your operating system. It worked for me.

I have download the updates according to the needs and the installation process begins. However, once finished, I get a message saying "some updates were not installed." I click "try again", but the same thing happens. Each new update is installed except the five listed above. They are all updated for 2007 Office System.

Updates Windows leads to "no Audio output device is installed".
Hi all
Last night updates Windows automatically updated my laptop - I have Vista Home Premium. If the updates downloaded, but this morning, when I restarted my laptop and installed updates, I had no noise! When I put my mouse on its little icon on my desktop, it says I have "No Audio output device installed".
I don't know what happened or how to fix it - can anyone help. And I can not just use the system restore, because it has been disabled, so it is not all to return to restore points.Thanks in advance!

Update Windows Vista comes crashing my computer
Windows Vista today put to update (05/08/09) just crashed my main desktop computer so that all I get is a black screen and automatic troubleshooting help who do not work. I called my repair shop and they had 5 calls today on this same problem. Help! I don't have a $95 to take to the computer repair shop. I am writing from an old computer. I run 2 internet radio stations and I need access to the music on this computer. I'm an artist, and I also need to access the files stored there. Joyce
Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:
1. a System Restore to before the updates:
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next
If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.
If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:
Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.
System restore steps according to the info above.

2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
> then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
