• Help! Problem with Camera Raw image settings

  I've recently upgraded to El Capitan in Snow Leopard. I use Photoshop CS5.1 and 6.3 of ACR. I work with my Canon T5i DNG files. (conversion from the CR2 files with the DNG Converter).

  OK, so this is the problem: before upgrading the operating system, everything was fine. Now, I noticed that all the files that I have previously set in ACR, are always "adjusted" visually, but all the sliders have been reset to default and some are grayed out.

  For example, let's say I have an image that I've desaturated in the past. Now, if I open it in ACR, the image is still gray, but all cursors are reset to zero, and the saturation slider is sometimes gray. Nevertheless, the color information is gone, so I can't go back to the original version of the color.

  Again, what are the DNG files, so no XMP file don't like using CR2 files...

  Any suggestions?

  I saw your picture on my computer Windows 10 using Camera Raw 9.3.1. On my computer, loaded with the basic settings the image that looks like this:

  

  And on the Panel of Hue/Saturation/Lightness "Convert to grayscale" was checked. But the image was posted in the 2010 process version.   The ACR 7.4 700 d or newer of the 70 d (if there was typo) requires and ACR, 8.2 or newer.

  PS CC 2015 as the title says needs OS X 10.9 or newer so PS CC 2014 is the most recent CC PS, you can run on your 10.8.

  11 elements of Photoshop that supports RTAs 7.1 also supports ACR 7.4, so you should be able to update your PSE11 to 7.4 of the cab and open the 700 d raw files.

  It is unclear why your PS CC 2014 cannot be updated at least 8.2 RTAs that must run on your old operating system.

  I would be completely uninstall the PS CC 2014, reboot, then reinstall and use the help / updates to see if you can get a new Camera Raw plugin that works.

• Cursor problem in camera raw

  Hi, I'm on a mac OS 10.11.1. 24 GB of memory are installed. The graphics card is NVIDIA Quadro 4000 2048 MB. I use photoshop CC 2015 01 Release. Recently I started having a problem in camera raw which may coincide with a recent update CC15. When I treat a raw file in ACR, words like clarity, contrast, exposure, etc., disappear as soon as I move a slider. This also happens when I use the camera raw filter.   You probably use built-in thumbnails.  These provide faster loading and less space, but they show no changes.

  If you want changes to show you must use one of the options inch HG.  These options are under Essentials icons in the toolbar.

  The problem is not with the size of the screen, but with the "pixel density" (never forget, that the density of physical pixels of the monitor is indicated). Right-click on the desktop and select Properties (or go to control panel and select display). On the Control Panel, select Advanced; the general Panel contains the DPI setting. I guess that the parameter is now greater than 96 dpi.

  I created a thread on this problem, which must have been at least two years ago. The answer was, as 1. Adobe will solve the problem, 2. It is a problem only with the classic Windows style (under the appearance tab). I have not tested with the XP style, because I prefer the classic style; I'm cursed and live with this shit (my setting is 120dpi).

  BTW, this may be much worse than half-readable labels: buttons, fields, text can disappear completely (you may even not notice, that there should be other buttons and the Panel options)...

  However, if you cannot upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6, then you can use the DNG Converter to convert your images to DNG and use it with Photoshop CS5
