    Hello world!

I am a student and just got my first MacBook.

Because I print a lot of scripts for uni, I used to print 4 pages on a sheet of paper to secure money.

How can I do this on my Mac? I haven't found how to print multiple copies of the same page on a single sheet.

  • Can I use the same SSI twice on the same page?

    Hey all,.

I'm having a problem whereby several SSI are not displayed on my page.

I wonder if it's because the instances that do not display not is those called in the second round.

Before I start posting code, etc, I was wondering if it was actually not possible to call the SSi even several times on a page.

I can't find documentation showing it anywhere.

    Thanks in advance,

    Katrina

1 edit: I tested it using a new unique SSI (i.e. one that has not been called nowhere elsewhere on the page and it is not show either... so I started a new thread where I post my code here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5345250#5345250 )

Edit 2: I guess I didn't parse correctly initially. It seems that it is NOT possible to use the same SSI twice on a page... Bummer!

  • 4.3 pages: how to print files of different text on the same page at the same time?

This concerns 4.3 Pages, I prefer.

I have written two different books, both with notes - one with a lot of notes.

I would like to print them both, at the same time, on a single page legal-size, 8 x 14. I can get.

I did this time in divvying up toward the top of the page itself and by running the paper into the printer twice - once for the top the half and, again, once for the lower half. It worked very well... but my printer is becoming tired! (former HP).

Recently, I tried to print the most complex book on top, with all the heavy notes, in a 'box' above. I managed to get this set only to discover that you are unable to print notes in a text box! Curses.

Unfortunately, through the raggedy of the time evolution, these books are more than a length. However, I know that I can squeeze and tweezers to them by giving them different sizes and depths of the page. Certainly, foreign and unknown.

Why the question is: is it possible to print simultaneously two different files (texts not only) on the same sheet of paper? Each of these texts has notes.

    Hi aws.

4.3 pages. It will work for you?

A single page with two columns

Insert a column break between the two versions. Notes appear on the same page.

  • Print two photos on a single sheet of photo paper

On a C5180 all-in-One printer how to print two 5 x 7 photos (same photo) on a single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper?  I am running Windows 7 on my computer.  It seems a pity to print a single 5 x 7 on page & lose the use of the rest of the document.

  • print two photos on a single sheet of paper of photo officejet pro more than 8600

I would like to print 2 photos on a single sheet of photo paper. These should fit into small frames and requires 900 x 650-two fits 6 x 4. When I go in my photo editor, it shows the picture (I tried with a) up on the preview, but the printer says that this is not the correct size of paper. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the trouble to answer. After I posted the request I tried again and this time she did not accept the photo paper. I don't know what happened. One of my problems was how to get 2 pictures on the page, because after that I had chosen 2 to the sheet he doesn't seem to be anyway to introduce the other. Now, I discovered that all I have to do is select the two images in windows Explorer, and although it does not show a preview it does not produce the required result. Thank you again for your willingness to help.

  • He cannot get two changers of AS2 to work on the same page.

    Hello.

I really like this particular scroller, I used at the bottom of the page here:

    http://steamandclean.com

Now I need to use two instances side by side on another page and may not have to work.

    I tried:

    • With same code twice in the frame 1 unchangend.
    • Have two instances of the code, but with him renamed all instance names and variables in the code.
    • Having each scroller in their own video, then add the two at the scene.
    • Have a master fla with background and import two separate sovereigns with each their own scroller - they work independently, but when they import on the same page one of them will not work.

  • How can I combine 2 page .pdf CAP/photo on the same page?

I have the front and the back of my driver's license in 2 pages of a .pdf file.

How can I have them both on the same page, so that they are indeed on 1 page only, and the copy can be printed on 1 page that too.

  • Export to SWF format, keeping the same page formats

    Hello

I have a document InDesign, CS5, with different pages. They are all double spreads of A4 except for two pages. One is A4 portrait on its own and landscape.

When I export to swf format, these pages turn into double page spreads, which means that I end up having what looks like a blank page next to my single page.

Is it possible to keep different page sizes when exporting to SWF format?

    Thanks in advance,

    ZoeByDesign

Not West not. InDesign exports your SWF using the size of the largest spreading in your document. Small gaps or pages will be exported to that as well size, filled with extra white space...

I suggest you change the size of these unique pages on the size of the other "spreads" (portrait A4 > A3 landscape) and fill the empty space you want in InDesign rather than let the SWF exporter to use white color. If you want it to look like it s single page, fill empty space with the same color, you as the background for your html-wrapper file.

Check this sample (cover page is actually a gap, but the left side is full of gray that was used as the background):

  • FrameMaker 8: Possible to combine the index the same page entries?

Is it possible in FrameMaker to have several identical index on one page entries 'sink' into a single entry?

For example, if I a document which includes index for "Adams, John" entries on pages 13 and 14, the index shows "Adams, John, 13, 14". " If I can do some changes that cause the second entry to appear on the same page as the first entry (for example, by not including not not certain conditional text), the index shows "Adams, John, 13, 13.

Other than the removal of the second index mark, is possible to have the index generate like "Adams, John, 13"?

    Thank you!

The index entries were added within the FM, or were they imported and text from another application (such as Word)?

If you want really legal to this topic, I would save the file as MIF, then we the freebie MIFBrowse

    http://www.grahamwideman.com/GW/tech/FrameMaker/mifbrowse.htm

to look at each entry (if you have not yet seen MIF, it can be a little 'dense' to digest, but the best thing is to first search for a rather unique word which could be just before entries and then move down through the screen until you find the index entries).

Or, if time is critical, I had it just delete the entries, save, then re-create them, being extremely careful, that it is not all the differences in their and update.

Another possibility may be less if the reference of the index page has been inadvertently damaged - you could try to add a new index to the book and see if it generates correctly.

Edit: on the other issues, please post the separate Forum ("topics") for each of them, otherwise it's hard for everyone offer advice if several problems are addressed in a single thread.  And, it is always helpful if you specify exactly which version of FM you use (help > on, "pxxx" numbers) and your platform + service pack level, too, it helps to avoid a lot of confusion.

  • Increment the numbers on the same page

I was asked to create tickets numbered with incrementing numbers on each ticket. I thought I'd use punch cards for the stock of blank paper (8.5 x 11 inches), but can't find out how to get this incremental page number on each card on the page. Insert a page number is no problem, but each map on the page has the current page number instead of increment as you wish. How can I get each card to have its own individual number?

We have covered this on several occasions, including a week ago.

If you want to use for that page numbers, you must place a one - up doc in a n - up layout. Much easier to use a text file which is a list of numbers, or use a numbered list paragraph style. I prefer the approach of the numbers list, myself, because it allows me to make a custom list for the number of tickets and to implement in the chimneys to cut so you don't have to sort later, but it looks to this isn't a problem for you since you're going to be breaking apart perfed stock.

There are two basic approaches to numbering by using the list of numbers - put a text file or use merge data. The one you choose depends primarily on the amount of work you want to do first and you want the tickets printed in batteries (which is much easier with the data merge, in my opinion).

If you place the text file, one of the methods more prodcing easy it is to use Excel to do the single list as numbers in one column, and then save as text. Information ticket on the page master n - up and link the empty frames where the numbers go. Style before frames with a paragraph style that includes "start in next image" in the options of the Dungeon, then simply place the list by holding down the SHIFT key.

You can use the same file to merge data by adding a domain name to the top of the list as the first paragraph. In this case establish a single ticket in the upper left corner. ID copy them on the page when you merge according to the spacing that you designate in the merge options when you use a fusion of "several record per page.

The previous two methods will number sequentially through the same page, i.e. If you have ten tickets on the page, the first page will be from 1 to 10, the second 11-20 and so on. If you want tickets 1 on the page, but the ticket 2 on page two and so on, so they wind up in beautiful sorted piles to make a grid in Excel. The grid must have, as the number of columns, the number of tickets per page, and the number of rows must be the number of pages necessary to finish the race. Excel can do most of the work if you fill out the first numbers to establish the motive. You want the sequence numbers to the bottom of each column in the order. Once the grid is filled, add a line above and add the tags field, then save as text.

This time implemented for only one record per page you want to merge data, which is very similar to the first available Npages - put all the notes on the page where you want, but this time don't screw executives for numbers. Instead, drag a different field label in each of them.
