Sansa fuze + ignores mp3 tags

Hi guys I just got my sansa fuze + (8 GB) and apply the 01.27.02 firmware update. Later, I download a file from my collection, but the sansa doesn't recognize all the tags of tracks. I don't know if it's a name of file or any other problem. For example, I have in my coldplay album

drwxrwxrwx 2 tuxtor 4096 tuxtor 2010-09-27 00:41 (2002) A Rush of Blood To The Head
drwxrwxrwx 2 tuxtor 4096 tuxtor 2010-09-27 00:49 castles
drwxrwxrwx 2 tuxtor 4096 tuxtor 2010-01-06 01:30 Parachutes [2000]
drwxrwxrwx 2 tuxtor 4096 tuxtor 2010-09-27 00:41 Viva La Vida or death and all his friends

I'm sure that all the files have the good tags (I can see it in amarok, banshee, etc.), but in the sansa I can watch Parachutes and Viva vida La or dead... the other albums appear with the album unknown and artist unknown.

I'd be willing to bet that they don't.

ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 is the format of the desired ID3 tags. If you use Linux, I suppose that whatever program you are using is not written this tag format. There was more here before with the same scenario.

  • Can the Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 read podcasts one after the other

For health reasons, I need to take a long walk after each meal.  For many years during my walks that I listened to podcasts on my wonderful old Sandisk sansa, who plays a podcast after the other without action from me until I have stop.  It's perfect here in the North when I walk in 30 below zero weather. I mean that I don't want to open my parka and out the player to move to the next podcast.  If I had to do, they would find me lying in the snow, Frost, like all the rest of those poor Devils who bought the wrong MP3 player.  Anyway, after years of using the plug-in on my old Sansa fuze is pretty much exhausted and the player must be replaced.  I buy a sansa clip, but had to return when I discovered that he has not played podcasts one after the other, automatically. (And it's also too small for my needs).  Before you buy a new 4 GB sansa fuse, so I need to know if this greatest player will play my podcasts consecutively and one after the other.  Your advice would be much appreciated.

I currently use the Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Fuze player Walkman.

There is an e250 (2 GB) and a rocket. They are 2 totally different players. The "rocket" (original) replaced the e200 series model.

But if your podcasts are placed in the Podcast folder (or even record Audio books) and then ranked in the same "Album" folder, they must play consecutively without stopping, regardless of the model of reader.

  • "Sansa Fuze v2 freezes on ' update your media.

I had this problem since I got it earlier this year.  I tried to solve this problem in many ways.

First I thought it was a problem to do with the tags which many of you have told me, but after having systematically organize every single audio track, remove all comments, artist information, album art, composer and using mp3val error check each audio track the problem still remains.  The only information on each track are kind, year, song title, artist, album name and track number (this I did on Mp3tag and saved ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1).

The sansa fuze that I is a model of v2 4 GB with a MicroSD of Kingston 16 GB card.   Honestly I am so sick of having to choose who I want to because music the largest number of songs I had on it without it freezing songs s 560 - I would add that most are mp3, some are in flac.  It's less than 6 GB on the 20 GB I have available which is ridiculous because the point all I got a rocket was so that I could increase its capacity without having to buy expensive media players

I have tried updating to the latest firmware but back to 1.02.26 because the problem remains to be 1.02.31.

Good because it will probably be easier to read and make more sense if I just list this information (instead of try to structure some sort of coherence).

D ' other information that may be useful, it's that I have no video, no photos.

-The problem seems to occur after a threshold of the number of songs I have.  For example, when I transfer an album more and it freezes / hangs on the screen "refreshing your media", I have to force it to shut down by pressing the power switch.  Most of you might be thinking that it is again with the offending audio tracks (bad tags etc), however I found that if I remove some albums and try put on the same album, it will be no problem to do.  Only after reaching a certain number (?) of songs that seems to happen.  I'm not going to say as a fact that I'm not 100% sure of that.

-After the screen "refreshing your media" frozen that I have to go back and remove all of the albums, I added which causes the problem.  This might appear as normal except there is no audio data files just an empty folder with the name of the album.

-All titles scanned with mp3val as having 'problems', I removed permanently of the device.

-All the music is transferred in MSC mode - drag and drop

-It never freezes if I transfer audio files to the internal memory.  For example, the album which causes the freeze/hang up can be placed on the internal memory of sansa fuze - no problem

For the love of all things good someone can you please help me solve this problem, I'm sure this can be fixed.

I will update that I can't imagine all the things I've done

    Thank you

  • Sansa Fuze is not compatible with Rhapsody/Windows 8.1?

Finally, I replaced my old laptop XP with a new with WIn 8.1.  My two (2nd gen.)  Rocket (no +) devices load OK, appear in Rhapsody as being authorized and allow the transfer of securities with subscription. But once disconnected the two devices think the tracks of the expired subscription.  Rhapsody has this message under Tools > device compatibility report:

Device for Sansa Fuze 8 GB compatibility report:
This PC reports that it performs "Microsoft Windows Version 6.2'."
Transfers of securities of subscription to the devices is not supported by your version of Windows

Titles that have been imported from CDs play fine. Someone here can shed light on what is happening?  Is is time to reformat devices?  Much thanks is advanced.

Well, well, well. For all those who might find this thread with a similar problem in the future, I think that I just solved it my problem with the help of the Rhapsody site troubleshooting tips.  It is reset course the Sansa device clock, regardless of it's:

    Asked synchronize the device

-Reset the clock secure your device
    1. go to the Rhapsody software
    2. connect your MP3 player to your computer
    3. hold the CTRL & SHIFT key on your keyboard and right click the player icon
    4. click on Reset secure clock

  • How to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB

Hello! Can someone tell me how to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB. I'm going to replace because the wheel is not working properly and I ask (the agent on the Technical Support) on all my music that I have on my MP3 and they tell me to make a copy, but whenever I downloaded on Windows Media Player, I can listen to, but as soon as I disconnect my MP3, I can't play anymore. Can someone help me please, I don't want to lose all my music. Or as a matter of fact again downloaded (too many site to visit again)

You can manually copy your music from the device to the computer using Windows Explorer, often referred to as 'My Computer' or just 'computer' in different versions of Windows by drag-and-drop, or open the Windows Media Player and "copy of the device" after clicking on the tab sync.

It is also possible to copy works by using an application like Media Monkey too.

Many people confused if the Sansa was initially loaded using never WiMP, many are realizing that the application works in both directions.

Remember, it is important to always have a backup of your music!  It will save you grief!

  • Song Sansa Fuze Max file size?

Hi I have a sansa fuze and tried to play a very long piece of music (mix) as a song, but when I try to play the "rocket" plant - gray screen.

Is there a maximum file size for the songs on the "rocket" or something?

    Thank you very much

    Thanks for your help.

I'll look into it, but clearly it's hogwash f I need some sort of 3rd party software and edit the files just to play an mp3 on an mp3 player! Not to buy another player from sandisk. Too bad, I did not read these issues before leaving with my money.

  • Play music from Sansa Fuze my computer speakers?

Can I listen to music on my Sansa Fuze MP3 player in my computer speakers?

If I can, how can I connect the "rocket" on my computer or on my speakers?

Connect the "rocket" to your computer with the USB cable. Looking for the "rocket" as a disc or two discs (one for unity, for card) in Windows Explorer (computer or workstation). Discover music. Assuming that you have a drive in your computer - such as Windows Media Player or Winamp or iTunes - you should be able to click on a file and read it.

  • Wall charger for Sansa Fuze?

Hello, I hope you do well.

I'm trying to help my father to buy a wall charger for its Sansa Fuze (I gave it to him as a birthday gift, but he doesn't have a computer and needs a wall charger). What type of wall chargers should I watch? I believe that it will take a standard USB charger or a standard mini-USB charger, but I would like to know which of the two. This one or this one , or this one works?

    Thank you

    VIC

It's easy!  Nice find, incidentally.  The first link you provided is a clone of the charger folding-plug Motorola phone, with a standard USB plug which must be plugged into the cable of SanDisk Fuze.

This is the type of desired wee beastie.  Basically, if it has a standard USB plug, it is hard to go wrong, with one exception: If the "rocket" shows "connected" while it is plugged into the wall charger, there is a link with the data pins in the charger (some readers MP3 need this, but the Sansa doesn't).

The other two Chargers shown have what looks like a mini-B, usable for Sansa Clip USB connector.

In addition, avoid Chargers with the connector 30 spare pins which do not expressly assert that this is a cable compatible SanDisk Sansa, there are has many iPod Chargers offering a Connector 30 end pins which resembles that of SanDisk, but they're going to FRY the Sansa.  IPod connections are distinguished by the Sansa ones.

  • Sansa Fuze Skip Song

1 month ago I bought a Sansa Fuze 4 GB, and I really liked it.  In that first month, I transferred music from Microsoft Media Player for the "rocket" with no problems and I also played music without any problem, so I see no problem.  Everything seemed to be working great until last night when I installed the new firmware.

I installed the new firmware using the request for the Installation of the Firmware Sansa. After installing the new firmware, I had to Resync my library.  I noticed after the resynchronization when I played music, many songs on the "rocket" should be ignored.  For example, I would play the ABC song after song what ABC ended, I see the image of the song DEF, but song THAT DEF would not play and the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.  If I tried to navigate back to the song (DEF), which was initially ignored, should be displayed, but the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.

If I tried to navigate directly to the song ignored interface of rocket, the song wouldn't play.  Artist ZYX has several songs in their folder.  If I chose to play all the songs of this specific artist, the "rocket" would skip infinitely without playing any music.

Also, after I updated the firmware, I noticed all my music was removed from the "rocket" and my GoList was empty.

Does anyone have recommendations on how to solve these problems?

    Update

I tried the "rocket" by sliding the spring power switch on the side to the top as if you turn on the device, but hold position for 20-30 seconds as described here http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=sansafuse&thread.id=44242, but he did not rest.

    Thank you

    BarDev

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I have connected the "rocket" to my computer and was able to play a song on my computer from the "rocket" which was previous fried.

I formatted the disk.  After formatting the drive, I resynced the "rocket" Media Player.  Now, everything seems to work.

    Thanks for the help.

  • SANSA FUZE stucks to the first screen and nothing happens

My sansa fuze aprox 2 years. It was incredible in the first year that someday when I connect it to my pc it stuck to the logon screen but you screen looks like weard colors not correct letters sansa and low resolution. I tried all the instructions but its not responding do not at all. I downloaded the recovery tool, but because of sansa works not at all my pc could not recognize it.  know that I don't know what to do I'm living in Turkey and a friend of mine reminded my sansa in chicago. I bouth an I phone 3G and I am happy with my MP3 in there but I want to give my sansa to my mother to allow him to listen to the music. but as I told you its does not work at all!

Help me please, or tell me that you're not good enough to produce a good player.

don't missunderstand me I like sansa memories, they are THE BEST!  but not all companies can produce good mp3 and video players. I can understand if SANDISK is only a producer of memory company!

Thank you Bob for your time

Unfortunately still I coulndt see any connection after I hold this button Center of 5 minutes.

because there was no link I coulndt try the next step. I offered to send my sansa player to the factory. now I'm wating ansver I will donate my reader to the company to help and protect their customers from this issue.

I think that there is no solution for me here...

  • How can I turn off the Sansa Fuze

I just got a 8 GB Sansa Fuze now for Christmas, and I used it for 15 minutes between put some music on it and put it back into my computer, I deeply loved it.

Now I feel really embarrassed to ask this question because I use a computer for 15 years and have been using MP3 plays since 1999.

How can I turn off the Sansa Fuze? He said nothing in the manual. What combination of buttons/menu setting to turn it off?

    THX

Don't be shy, I had a similar experience when I used Sansa.

Keep the right sliding button for a second or two to turn it off.

The key is to keep for a while.

  • Sansa Fuze cut songs

Yesterday, as I noticed a problem with my Sansa Fuze. When I'm listening mp3 songs and increase the volume above some Sansa point (about 3/4 of the maximum volume) begins to cut songs (2 seconds of silence - 1 or 2 seconds of music - 2 seconds of silence...). I change latest firmeware, and it did not help. Maybe someone has the same problem or have some tips what to do in this situation?

I found a solution - he wasn't jack inserted entarely (really strange behavior).
