Sansa Media Converter and MPEG-4 video?

Hey.

So I got a new Sansa Fuze this morning (very nice, an improvement over my old C240) and I got my whole music library on my player. Around 390 songs.

I decided to throw some videos I have on the player, but they are all mismatched videos of various size and format. So I tried to treat them well my STROKE (Video converter) all morning to get a format suitable - I use MPEG-4 codecs, as the box says that's what he supports.

Windows Media Player (which I hate, but to use the "sync" function) or does not support the videotype itself or even said that the player refuses the video and that its not able to convert.

Thus, after exhausting the formats AVI, WMP, MP4 and MPEG-4 Mobile, I discovered frustratedly I need to use the Sansa converter. And the link to it here, apparantley, broken.

So, can someone tell my where I can get the conversion software?

You must use software update to get it. They began to do this in order to follow the downloads. What I did was to install the software update, download SMC, then uninstall the update.

  • Sansa Media Converter

Can someone help me? I have a minute 03:40 long video which is in mp4 format that I want to put my Sansa fuze, but whenever I have it put in Sansa media converter to load on it tells me that my file cannot be imported and I need to install the appropriate codec. I have two other files of the same video that I have converted wav and flv files online, but media converter says just that files do not exist.

What can I do to load the video on?

    Thank you!

    Use Video4Fuze.

  • Sansa Media Converter Installing do not

    Hello

I downloaded and I'm trying to install Sansa Media Converter on my computer. The executable file downloads fine, but then, when I try to install it, I get a message of not having enough storage space, asking me to release 105,63 MB on my C:\ drive and click 'Retry '. I more than 21 GB free on my C drive, so space should not be a problem. I found another thread like this on the forum and they have disconnected their rocket, and the installed program. My rocket is not connected.

Someone at - it solutions? Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I read somewhere (either on this site or anythingbutipod.com?) that converts video Rhapsody for the "rocket". I tried and it worked perfectly, so I didn't have to install the software.

  • Sansa fuze is not detected on Sansa Media Converter

I used the converter of media before and it worked fine.  Yesterday, he said that there was no legacy avalible.  I reconnected it in several times.  I've changed modes.  Nothing has worked.  It is detected on the computer, but not the sansa Media Converter.  What's wrong?

Replace, might do the trick. Go to start menu click RUN. Type %AppData%, and then click OK. Search for SanDisk folder and you should find the installer of the SCM. Just run it again.

  • Sansa Media Converter on Linux?

Is there such a possibility?  Are there?  If not, what can be done to convert files to use on a view?

SMC does not work under Linux.  I wasn't able to run WINE or Codeweavers.  Maybe someone else has and if so, please let us know

Your best bet with Linux is to run VirtualBox or VMware and get XP works this way.  USBs work at 100% (after a little messing about with Ubuntu, if that's your distribution).  You can run SMC in this way.  Yes, it's not Linux friendly.  Sorry...

  • Windows import video repeatedly stops after a few seconds when you use DV cam to convert and import analog videos

With the help of a Canon Elura 40 mini DV camera to import my old Video 8 tapes to the .avi format. I followed the instructions from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-analog-video-to-your-computer-by-using-a-DV-camera . However, when I click Start import import will work only for a few seconds and then stops. If I keep restarting after that it stops every time (5 to 10 times), I finally get a message under the controls of cam DV that says "commands does not. Then it will keep the import without problem. I discovered this solution accidentally, but not knowing when it will eventually continue to record does get the departure point. If I import directly using a digital camera 8 this is not the case, but the Video 8 does not play well on the Digital 8.

    Thank you.

  • Sasa Media Converter won't recognise my rocket reader!

    Hi all

I'm pretending have another problem with my (Version 4) sansa Media Converter and im hoping that one of you might be a solution for me...

My problem is that when I connect my Sansa Fuze to my computer (it is MTP mode), my computer recognzes I plugged a device of media, but Sansa Media Converter does not work! However, once I added my video file in the list convert, I have the conversion option (even if it should not, for it is said that it does not recognize a sansa media player connected). Now, when I push convert, it will NOT convert the file (I started it as a file .vob, hoping that it would turn into another type of file that would recognize the Sansa Fuze).

Now, after all this, I did some research and found out about All-Media-Converter! I used this program to convert the .vob file into a .mp4 file (hoping that I could a) begin to convert the file, if S.M.C. does not recognize the .vob files, or b) drag-and - drop the file on my Sansa Fuze).

None of these solutions would not work! So, is there a way I could get the Sansa Media Converter to recognize my Sansa Fuze and allow me to convert the file, allowing you to put me on my rocket!

    Thanks in advance!

    Huh... Problem solved...!

Funny story actually (well, maybe not "funny")

But anyway, I realized I have everything first, didn't race 4 S.M.C. (it was 3.something)!

And secondly, I had not even plugged (my USB cable in my computer... Remember how I said he was saying my computer seen...? Yes, it was for my mp3 player that I had plugged in... silly me!

in any case, I have downloaded 4 S.M.C., updated the Firmware thing and actually BRANCH IT IN!

    It works now... Thanks anyway!

  • Conversion of Sansa Media

I downloaded the videos Media Converter and the first video worked because I had the hip "rocket". For the second video I had not plugged (I wasn't aware that it syncs later if I had not plugged). How do I synchronize with my rocket? The part of the aid of the converter was not at all useful. Can someone please? I have a car for 8 hours go up in a few days, so I'll try to load it up before I go. Any help would be appreciated!

Your rocket must be connected to your computer so that the MSC to work. It converts and transfers all in one shot. You cannot convert videos, then later transfer, or 'sync', then to the "rocket".

  • Media Converter will not add no videos

I've got an 8 Gig Fuze +. I also have three videos about 700 MB each. I have about 2.5 GB on my drive.

I tried to add through the Sansa Media Converter. Went to the first, the second and the third did not. I tried the second and third again. Nope. In the second place only. Third party only. Double nope. Try again. Nope, once again. No reasons listed for why they do not.

    No idea why?

SMC has always been problematic. With the Fuze +, you are not limited to a good program. I would try a different video conversion program. Plug the video/requirements are here.

I have not heard someone using Video4fuze with the rocket + yet, but there apparently fine with the original "rocket". You could try.
