SATA I, II or III in the motherboard Dell 690?

I have a Dell 690 [Admin NOTE: maintain the label removed in accordance with the TOU strategy] still in its original configuration.  I would like to know if the SATA ports on the motherboard for the discs hard SATA I (1.5 Gb/s), II (3 Gbps) or III (6 Gb/s).  I don't see any markings on the Board to tell me.  How will I know?

Looks as 3 GB according to this sheet.

    Antares-USA,

Normally, when you enter your number at support.Dell.com, you can click on the System Configuration and then see the original setup the server was in when he left. If that does not produce the information, then you must simply PRIVATE MESSAGE the serial number for me and I can let you know the motherboard installed.

Hi, I have currently updated my PC with the new HARD SATA 3 drive and connected to the motherboard using SATA 3 controller card. The problem is that XP see my hard drive as a removable drive. Is it possible to fix this. I already tried with latest BIOS update and the installation of motherboard readers, but it does not solve the problem.

Try using a different location on the map. Also try using another SATA cable with two slots.

If you are not comfortable doing so, I suggest that you take help from someone who has some knowledge about it.

I have tried several hardware analysis tools, also checked the ausus homepage and the specification on the HP

Does anyone know what version it is? I have colleagues SATA 2 alias 3 GB

    Hello:

You guessed it right, but I have no price to give you.

  • Installation DVD HP 1040i on the motherboard SATA system

Trying to install a HP 1040i drive of DVD (IDE) in a new desktop PC of HPE 250F as second optical drive.

I bought a converter card that fits 1040i data (converts SATA drive

SATA to IDE to disk).  Rosewill (New Egg) IDE to SATA host is the name of the product.

Power supply for mini card connected to the drive of DVD from PC.  Data for the second SATA data on the motherboard connector.

Another MB SATA data cable goes to original BD/DVD from the optical drive.

New disk causes Win 7 Pro install driver indicating "HP psc 2210xi USB Device" under disk drives

    Thanks for the reply.

I think the card is defective.  Based on many forums of users and sites to return product I went with a new SATA DVD burner (Samsung).  a perfectly worked in my Win 7 system.  It was cheap and I should have started with a new drive instead of try to reuse an old DVD burner.

Also, the site you recommended is a pay-for the site and a subscription is required for download.

I'm sorry. Never used it myself, but the driver was there.

  • Qosmio X 870 PSPLXA 00T00E - details of the motherboard

I have WIndows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on this computer. I have trouble finding information about the motherboard for islet need to know if she will be able to handle the SATA III or has only been designed to SATAII. Also, what is the maximum size hard drive, this machine can handle?

Thanks in advance for help :-)

Hello, not long ago I bought an SSD for my qosmio X 870, AFAIK could manage only SATAII, but since most hard drives are SATAll / lll compatible, you need to check on this, "so-called" lll SATA retro-compatibility, I bought a Samsung Evo 850 with 500 GB and it works perfectly!
In regards to the maximum, that I don't know, but at least 1 TB as the original drive.
    See you soon!

  • Tecra R850 - support SSD SATA 6.0 GB III

    Hello.

    I bought R850 with SSD.
The bad news is that SSD 256 GB installed is limited to SATA II with up to 300/Mo transfer. I read that Sandy Bridge supports SATA III, which covers 600/Mo.

Is someone installed successfully the best able with SATA3 SSD drive?

I tried Sisoft Sandra and it reported that the SSD SATA is II, the same for the motherboard. The HwINFO reported that this chipset is compatible with SATA 3. Everest shows that SSD SATA 2 data.

It's the bios locked for higher transfers? I got 180 MB/s read, 150 MB/write - what is 3 x worse than normal SATA 3 SSD 256 GB hard disks.

Can someone help me and tell - if it's the bios R850? or only the old SSD Toshiba firmware? If I buy the best SSD with SATA3 - it will fully support higher speed?

    Best regards
    Tomi2012

    Hello

I don't know Mr. what portable R850-xxx you but as far as I know, this series is equipped with one for the (Sandy Bridge) Intel i3/i5/i7 CPU.
The phone also supports either Intel Cougar Point QM67 (model TN) or HM65 (model no - AMT). The two supports SATA II (3 Gb/s) and SATA III (6 Gb/s)

But for example, if the host interface is 300 MB/s, you get experienced data reading: Max 250 MB/s and write data to sustain: Max 160 MB/s

I had bought a HDD WD Caviar Black 500 GB SATA III and every time I want to reboot the PC or several times in a cold, start I'd get a disc hard not found error.

Of course, I assumed it was a defective and returned for a replacement disc.  The spare drive did the same thing.

I have a HP 8200 Elite CMT with a Seagate 1 TB SATA III hard drive.  I put this drive in my dc7800 and it worked perfectly for the last two years, who confirmed to me that the support document affects more than the models listed.

My recommendation for you would be to get the equivalent Seagate HDD which was in my Elite 8200, which is this one or stick with a SATA II if you can find one.

  • What connectors SATA speed do I have on my motherboard?

    Hello

This is my first time on this forum posting.

I would like to find on what SATA connector should I "plug" a new HARD drive on my motherboard.

What SATA connector is best to have the primary/boot HARD drive connected to?

The PC I have is quite old now, and I don't even know if the motherboard has SATA II or even SATA III (speed) connections.

    The motherboard is:
    MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E)

Here is the link to the HP specifications page.
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02014355

On the list of specifications for the storage, it lists just x 4 SATA connectors.

I have reason to believe that this means that they are all only SATA I (speed) connectors?

It would be great if someone could let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Ian

You are the very welcome, Ian.

Yes, it's the correct way to get the disks attached.

  • I want to replace my hard drive with an SSD. I is a SATA drive, but do not know the type.

I have a model m9373.me, an office, built in 2008. I want to change my SATA hard drive for an SSD, but I can't know what the active drive SATA type is. Should the new disk SSD be SATA I, II or III? How will I know?

Here are the specifications of your computer has HP Pavilion Elite m9373.me-. According to specifications, your computer is shipped with 2 x 750 GB drives (3.0 Gbps) SATAII 7200 RPM hard. Depending on the age of your computer, it supports the SATAII specification. Any SSD you buy will probably be a device SATAIII (6.0 GB/s) and will be retro-compatible with SATAII ports on your motherboard. Note that the SSD will only transfer data as fast as allow the port of the motherboard. You won't get the full implementation of the SSD in this system.

  • Kernel Panic after the change of the motherboard and the installation of El Capitan

    Hi guys,.

So I have this 2011 machine that has caused me a lot of headaches with graphics, because of which the motherboard has been replaced under extended warranty and El Capitan was installed shortly after. Everything was fine for about 3 months and now the machine started crashing from time to time. The last time it crashed I had 1 million tabs open in Firefox and after opening another, distorted sound and it crashed. (This was never a problem before). During reboot, the screen was almost completely black, you can see the progress bar, but really dim. On reboot, it gave me this report. I don't really know how to interpret it, I'd appreciate any help on your part, thank you!

If you no longer have a Blackberry, rid the MBP of all files of the RIM.  Look at the developers wen site for instructions.

Delete Firefox and run the MBP without it.   See if the panic stop.  Test and then put it back.  (what is the point of maintaining that a 'million' tabs open).

    Ciao.

  • I have a compaq presario sr19090uk desktop pc, and the motherboard was dead. :(

I have a compaq presario sr19090uk desktop pc running windows 7 64-bit with a card mother micro-ATX (ASUS - A8M2N - LA / Nodus M-GL8E) Socket AM2, Anthlon 64 3500 + socket 939and the motherboard was dead. What is a good replacement that takes in charge a cd/dvd ide burner and sata hard drive for undeer £100. I have also 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM installed.

    Thank you

    Tony

Here are the specifications of your Compaq Presario SR1909UK desktop and it is card mother A8M2N-(NodusM). There is a conflict in the two specifications for what CPU socket is actually used. The computer specifications claim a socket 939 CPU, while the motherboard plug State she has a socket AM2. You will need to examine your system to confirm what type of CPU and socket he did.

It can be difficult to locate a market after motherboard that will meet your needs as AM2 socket 939 about 5 years to 8 years and are several obsolete generation. Check e - Bay or similar in your area for a replacement card which meets you the specifications. Please keep in mind is likely to replace the HP OEM Board on your computer Windows become a "non-genuine" and require the purchase of a new operating system. Note that the recovery discs you created will not be also usable on your computer.

  • Satellite S3000: How to change a component on the motherboard?

How to open the case of this laptop?

I need to change a component on the motherboard.

I get to a point where all the screws on the base are off, and it seems that all that remains of access into the box for the "motherboard" motherboard is that perhaps the Strip on the front, just below the screen, should be removed.

Is it so? What should I do at this point?

It is urgent that I get to do it in the next few hours.

I put t know which components you want to change on the motherboard, but I think that it s a good idea. : O

However, I don t think that you won't find any manual officials how to do something on this unit. I think that only the service partner can receive these documents.

On the net I found this site:
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/Toshiba-Satellite-1200/take-apart-laptop-1.htm

It describes how to open and remove all the pieces of the Satellite 1200. I know that it s not a 3000 Sat but you can detect pretty much how do.

But you know that if you don't have any experience you shouldn't t do or whatever it is delete ;)

  • W510: How do I access my data from a failed hard drive after the failure of the motherboard

I made a mistake and has paid for major .

This error pouring a drink sweet on my laptop. I know, I know, my keyboard can and protect against damage caused by the spill, but it was a drink together. In any case, I panicked and shut down the system and it has upset and removed the keyboard. And be the impatient person that I am, I made what was probably the ultimate error. I do not give everything save a sufficient amount of time to dry and I tried to boot the system. There is my computer. Or at least I think.

Symptoms: It began at the start, kept a beep, sometime just close and will start.

In any case, I guess that my laptop went kaput. Now to the point of this thread. I had not been a recent backup and can't remember when the last backup was actually made. Assuming that my hard drive is ok, I want to get all my data, so I saw several options:

-Send the system to a data recovery service where I will not pay less than $300, but probably 2 to 3 times what

-buy an equivalent model laptop and put the HARD drive in there

-by an external SATA hard drive enclosure and mount it via USB on another computer

I bought a box external and assembled this evening. I had read about the data access of difficulty with a system non-Lenovo because of encryption of the data. I proved that by linking it to my work (a Dell) laptop and I couldn't access my data directories. If I have access to an another Lenovo Thinkpad, I'll be able to access the data if connected via USB? I had read that I can access the contents of disc hard if it is connected to an another Thinkpad, but I knew not that if it means that I have it connected via SATA connection or if there is work through the USB port.

I'll appreciate any suggestions for accessing my data.

    Best regards!

    All,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I was able to recover my computer and all data on it.

Just to describe what I have done, here are the details.

Because of my concern about a failure of the motherboard, I bought a used/given new keyboard and an external SATA drive enclosure. I was not able to properly take possession of the car from my other laptop, but I was able to access the data in Mode without failure. With my data, I plugged the hard drive and the new keyboard in and started without problem.

    Thanks again,

  • HP 6470 b 2nd hard drive upgrade. How fast this port works on? SATA I, II or III

HP 6470 b 2nd hard drive upgrade. How fast this port works on? SATA I, II or III

I want to put in a 60 GB SSD into the CD slot and want to see how fast it will support as this will be used for the Cache

    Thank you

The published information is not explicit; He says only: SATA for the expansion Bay while the main hard drive Bay expressly says SATA-III. However, given that this isn't just an optical drive Bay, but also a general 'Bay expansion', it is safe to assume it of on the same SATA bus as main drive and is a SATA III interface.

    Data sheet

6470b is also supposed to have a slot for a WSSD mSATA, but he is not described in the Manual:

    Manual

Obviously the WSSD would work better for cache but you can use a 60 gig SSD in an expansion bay for both cache adapter. Even if the connection is SATA-II, it will be much faster to work for a cache of acceleration.
