SATELLIT? A30: AGP Texture Acceleration is not inaccessible?

I: satellite? A30 with integrated intel 82852/82855 GM/GME video adapter
problem: the launch of dxdiag (directx 9 .0c) all accelerations (DirectDraw and Direct3d) are fine, except
AGP texture Acceleration (inaccessible).

I have therefore a real speed reduce in many complicated graphics applications. All pilots, including chipset, bios update and video card have been improved. Bridge CPU-Agp appeared not in System.

Need help! Thank you.

On systems with old gray graphics subsystems "AGP texture acceleration" setting will be simply the display circuit providing not only the features required for certain video games.
The AGP texture acceleration setting will be grayed out on systems that do not have the capacity, and in this case, there is no "tweak" that can correct the parameters or activate 'AGP texture acceleration. :(

HP 530 Notebook Windows XP Professional SP3 Intel Celeron (r) 1.6 GHz, 504 MB RAM

In RUN - DXDIAG - Display - (AGP Texture acceleration) is not available.
How could I allow it, what I have to install or do... ?

    Please answer, thank you!

Your HP 530 laptop specifications say that your graphic/audio subsystem is:

    Graphic subsystem name
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950

You could hop on the Intel site and let their driver update utility take a look at your system and if it offers a newer version of the video driver, consider installing it:

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/default.aspx

However the search on the site specifically to your question, Intel Intel wrote:

Given the acceleration of Texture AGP setting as "Not available" is a normal behavior and waited for the graphics drivers Intel (production 14.0 or higher versions). This parameter has no need to be made available, activated or activated and does not affect the performance of the games or 3D applications.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-009689.htm

So it does seem that you have a Windows XP problem - you have what looks like a normal behavior for your system.

If after looking at what Intel has to say and you still don't think it's just, you should ask your question in the Intel support community:
    https://communities.Intel.com/Community/Tech

Or HP Support forums are here:

  • AGP Texture Acceleration shows as "not available".

    Hello

The Dxdiag it says that there is no AGP Texture acceleration provision!

Here what Intel said on this problem:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AGP Texture Acceleration shows as "not available".

    Symptoms:

In the Microsoft * DirectX * Diagnostic tool (dxdiag), AGP Texture acceleration shows as "not available" in the "View" tab

    Cause:

Older graphics drivers reported the DVMT (dynamic video memory technology) memory as non-local video memory (AGP). To improve compatibility, this was changed in new graphics drivers so that DVMT memory is reported as local video memory.

    Solution:

This is expected behavior with the PV 14.x graphics drivers.

Produced for Intel® Extreme Graphics, memory that has been reported as AGP memory when you use the PV13.x graphics drivers is now reported as local memory when you use drivers PV 14.x graphics. This change should not effect game or application performance since the local memory and AGP memory are identical in performance.

I didn't really know what to do, he said jst get the old drivers I think? Solutions, more than you know... This causes a problem I can not play games on my laptop lates...

    Thank you

    Hello

To be honest your device isn't the best gaming laptop. As you probably know there's a graphics card with shared memory technology and graphics cards are not so powerful as to NVIDIA or ATI cards. I really wonder not that you can not play the latest games. And what is with games on one or two years? Are they working well?

Only, you can try to install the latest driver, you can find on the download page of manufacturer. You can try, but in this case, the card will run without protection. Toshiba has designed a control of the use of the graphics card and do not allow to run on the upper limit.

  • acceleration of direct3d, DirectDraw acceleration, and agp texture acceleration not availble

    Hello

2 days ago my sister re installed windows and after that when I start a game error accurs acceleration of the direct draw not active frst my windows is 64-bit but nw its 32-bit so plxx tell me wot to do

"my problem is solved or not.

Depends on if there is a hardware problem with before reinstalling Windows.

And you do not need to install 64-bit Windows in any case (assuming that you have 4 GB of RAM or more).

BTW - including specifications of the system or at least the brand and the model PC, in your message may be useful.

Be sure to install the drivers, as suggested by Palcouk.

If the PC is not an OEM (DELL, HP, etc) download the drivers for the motherboard and graphics card

(if you use a "dedicated" graphics card) from the mfg of this motherboard or graphic card.

Regarding the updates of Windows. While it is perhaps old fashion and technically unnecessary, I think

It is safer to install in batches of say, 20 or more, and restart the computer after each batch, even if not prompted to

    do.

Yes, more trouble now, but there are more confident that there is no update corrupted, and

catch any problem updates, with a balance she's method.

It wouldn't hurt to run Windows Disk Cleanup and Defragmenter to once or twice in the

process. If nothing else it will shorten time of defragmentation needed at the end of the

    installation/update process.

    Hello

The computer is probably using a generic video driver rather than on the chip or card driver specific to hardware acceleration.

Download the good video driver from the site of PC makers, the motherboard manufacturers site if she got the integrated graphics card or the video card manufacturers site if she got a separate video card.

Dxdiag says "not available".  I need to use it and am on a S3 ViRGE running on Windows XP.  DirectX controls are where?  How to download or turn, etc?

    Hello

You must have compatible video card AGP for this. Was not supported either your video card or your video drivers don't support this mode. Try updating the video card drivers.
You can also contact the manufacturer of the computer on this issue.

  • WARNING: DirectX Acceleration is not activate, Windows 7 64 bit

I have an ATI 4870 running windows 7 the problem that I am running is that DirectX acceleration is not being seen.  Now my other programs (32-bit) running their own Accelerator do not have this problem (as my Blu - ray).  Now the same software programs works perfectly under XP and Vista with 32 and 64 bit. :)  Running dxdiag show, the 3D accelerator has been activated will include these reading at the end of this message.  On a backup drive, I even downloaded DirectX 9.c to see if that might solve the problem but it didn't.  Hard drive has been erased and reloaded on July 12, including all patches before the software was loaded and still does not work.  My Windows experience index is:

    Hello Hunsinger D, welcome.

My suggestion would be to first see if you have the latest version on your ATI drivers.

You can find the latest version of your card here. Its the latest version of 64-bit Windows 7 from the site Web of ATI CCC:

    https://a248.e.Akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ATI.com/drivers/9-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe

Once downloaded, run the installer and it should guide you through the installation process, which most will be automatic. It will require a reboot Afterwords.

Depending on the applications you run, they cannot be completely compatible with DirectX 11, which is what Windows 7 is running in native mode. We can try to force apps to run in the mode of DirectX 9/10.

Try this to force the application to run on DirectX 9:

1 find / create a shortcut to the application
    2. right click on the shortcut and select Properties
    3. click on the tab 'Shortened' at the top (if not already done)
    4. in the field "Target", go at the end of the quoted text, put a space and add - dx9

The result should look like that in nature, even if the path in quotes may be different:

    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-dx9

As long as there is a space between the "" text and - tag dx9 you will be fine.

    5. click on 'Apply' at the bottom and close the window. Now try to start the application.

If please reply back and let us know the results.

  • Hardware acceleration is not enabled on the latest drivers

    Hello
I use Firefox 24.1.0 ESR on a Debian Jessie and hardware acceleration does not get turned on, unless I'm force to be activated via subject: config.

I use a fairly recent version of the proprietary Nvidia drivers and it does not appear on the black list (at least it wasn't on the resources that I can find on the internet, I don't know how recent they are)

The situation is the same on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of vanilla Mozilla's Firefox or Iceweasel in Debian. I created a new profile, but it has not changed the situation. I added the new profile below troubleshooting details.

    Someone knows

    • If this version of the Nvidia driver is blacklisted or not,
    • where can I access the updated black list
    • There is another problem that a blacklist causes this problem?

    Thank you.

OK, I'm an asshole. Looks like hardware acceleration is not enabled by default on Linux yet. I would strees that it's a bit strange to put a box ticked in the preferences that claims it will activate the hardware if possible acceleration, but then don't even try so that she because she is disabled by default.

  • Hardware acceleration is not enabled on my video card driver when playing Freecell

    Original title: "Hardware Acceleration"

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I just clean installed Win 7 to replace Vista on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1720 (bought in 2008), and it went smoothly.

However, when I tried the game "Freecell", I got the message that hardware acceleration is not enabled on my video card driver.

    How to achieve this please?

(Device Manager displays the graphics card to be a standard VGA graphics card and the driver is supposed to be later)

    With thanks a lot

    Singletsigma

    Hello

As the indicated error hardware acceleration must be supported by the video card
and the drivers used. Check with Dell for the updated drivers, as well as the manufacturer of the device for
the video device for the even more recent drivers. Do not assume because the Device Manager displays the
present drivers as later that they are really - see how to upgrade the drivers below.

IF your graphics (video device) and driver both allow hardware acceleration.

    1. choose Start > Control Panel.
    2. double-click on customization, and then select display settings.
    3. click on advanced settings.
    4. click on change settings on the Troubleshooting tab.
    5. move the cursor to Enable hardware acceleration
    6. click on apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.
    7. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.
    8 restart Windows.

    ========================

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (updated video driver manually.)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

    Hello

With the publication of the description, I understand that you have found an error: hardware acceleration is not enabled at the opening of Solitaire on your Windows 7 machine. I will certainly help you get this fixed number.

I suggest you refer to the suggestions of windowsfanny responded on November 3, 2009 in the below mentioned thread and check if this is useful:

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Recently I filled out a form with what I would call a texture, but do not now remember how I did it. I don't think it's from

the filter/effects - texturise route since, who don't not jog my memory, the document's CMYK so this route is grey,

and when I use this route on a trial RGB document I get a very different effect. My fill is a random series looking for short

straight lines, horizontal and vertical black cross on a white background. (See attachment) The effect-> texturise-> burlap on a road

RGB figure a straight horizontal lines longer, not only.

One suggested where I got this filling by report?

ALWAYS indicate what version you use.

It is just a shade of reason. At the bottom of the swatches Palette, click on the button show the types of Swatch and select Show all shades. You will see the enumerated ground named Burlap shade. MouseDown on the preview of the Swatch icon, drag and drop it on the page. It is the content of the sample of pattern.

I don't know where you got it. It may have been a "Preset" provided with some special versions; It can be something you downloaded; Perhaps you or someone else has attracted. However, you can simply copy and paste an object that uses it to other documents, or you can store it in a Swatch Library of your choice for future use.
