Satellite 5000 Bluetooth or not

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite 5000 today and one that sold me was told that equipped with a built-in Bluetooth device, but when I press the FN + F8 key nothing happen. I search the Web but can't find a list or something with the data sheet for this laptop (is not new). Can someone tell me whether or not have a Bluetooth device is integrated?
Sorry for my English

Hello

I'm not sure but I think that some of the 5000 series have a Bluetooth connection. Why you didn t see a complete description of the notebook (5000-XXX)? Put the wireless card and check the FN + F8 key combination. If Bluetooth is onboard, it will appear in the window that appears by pressing FN + F8.

Good bye

    Hello

I think that you have to install [bluetooth software | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]

  • Satellite L750 - Bluetooth does not work after BIOS update

I am preparing some L750 notebooks for use and accept updates from the Toshiba, which included an upgrade of BIOS v1.70 for v2.00. He appears after this update occurs that Bluetooth no longer works, i.e. try to install Bluetooth Toshiba stack will fail as it is said that the Bluetooth radio is disabled and must be turned on for continue.

As the L750 (model PSK1WA-0C300R) is not a hardware switch to enable or disable the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, the only option available (Fn + F8) is unsuccessful. I ran a recovery of factory default installation and Bluetooth still does not - resumption of classes does not restore the BIOS to the previous version. I have 5 of the model and confirmed the update of the BIOS is the cause. Two laptops now have v2.00 and Bluetooth has been tested in the work before the update of the BIOS.

If Bluetooth is not critical for the environment which I deploy these notebooks, it's an annoyance I want to solve. My questions are: has anyone encounter the same problem and managed to resolve it? Is there a BIOS v1.70 available for download to restore the functionality? Y at - it an update of the BIOS > V2.00 for solve the problem I have? Thank you.

    Hi JasonL750,

Load default settings after updating the BIOS? Go into the BIOS, press the F9 key to load the default settings of the installation. Also, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS if there is such an option.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what happens if you use the FN + F8 key combination. Don't you see that he has an option to turn on Bluetooth and if so what happens if you do this?

  • Satellite L850 "Bluetooth is not ready."

Everytime I try to press "Add new connection" in the BT settings, I get the message saying that "Bluetooth is not ready." Not sure if that makes a difference, but the laptop has recently been repaired and I think that the motherboard and processor have been changed in the process.

    Someone knows how to solve?

    First question:
If the laptop has been repaired, you still have the same parts inside the laptop?
Maybe the WLan module has been changed that supported Bluetooth?
    Is the laptop supports Bluetooth?

It should be noted all first!

You can also see the list of Device Manager if BT is in the list.

By the way: what system are you using and what L850-xxx you have exactly?

  • Satellite L510 - Bluetooth does not

My bluetooth does not work - even if it can be turned on and she can identify the other bluetooth device, but the connection will not be established.

Whenever I try to make a new connection with my mobile phone, or send files to my cell phone or another bluetooth device, msg pop up window saying "Service discover failed".

And when I tried to add a new connection, a pop-up MSG saying "Service Detection failed".

    What is strange:
    1. my wifi does not work well.
    2. when I turned on the bluetooth, it can identify the available bluetooth device - only it cannot send or add a new connection.

I have never use the function of bluetooth since the day I bought the laptop - it's so new that it is old just 6 months. This is a brand new laptop and is installed with Windows Vista.

Appreciate if there is someone can help - I try not to send to the after-sales service to check because I had a very bad few months experience - it took a month just to fix the problem of fan. It's so not convenient.

Hope someone can advise and help.

    Million thanks!

    Hello

Seems there is something wrong with the battery installed BT and the BT service that runs in the background.
I think you should first uninstall the BT stack.
Restart the device and then install the new downloaded Toshiba BT stack.

    You can download it here:

  • Satellite L850 - Bluetooth does not work after upgrade to Windows 10

After the upgrade of the W10, BT did not work so I updated the drivers Atheros AR3012 version 10.0.1.1

It still does not work. My phone can see the laptop on BT, but says that he cannot communicate with him.

The laptop does not tosee phone & Yes the phone is discoverable. My BT headset can not be seen now by phone.
All this worked fine with W7

My laptop is Satellite L850 (PSKDLE)
    Any ideas?

    Hello

In most cases, BT does not work due to lack of BT software.
I guess you will need to install the filter for the BT driver package.

In most cases the 8 Win / filter package 8.1 Bluetooth driver should work under Win 10... Then try to install the Atheros Bluetooth driver filter package and check to see if you will be able to activate BT

  • Satellite C855 - Bluetooth does not work

I have just set up my new laptop today, after four hours of tearing my hair with windows 8 I hate!

I am not a techie and have had three Toshiba satellite before, but I hate windows 8, rant on about it.
Main reason I chose this model was for Bluetooth. I wante to be able to Bluetooth of my phone files to the laptop. connected devices, and I can send files to my phone, but used portable files receive my phone and shoes my phone as being offline? Yet, it still can send files and my phone is receiving them?
    Any ideas where I'm wrong?

Also the free trial version of mcafee did not as he acknowledged my e-mail address and payment required after only 20 minutes, so to remove mcafee to get defender of windows for work, I prefer anyway. Then realized I could disable my Microsoft account so I can connect without it.

Perhaps a guide of idiots for windows 8 could very practice to lock up because we are not advanced experts all!
I have now disabled the majority of apps boring I think.

    Hello

    The whole process isn't difficult.
    You must activate Bluetooth first.
Do either using the F12 keys or you'll go to the bar (Win key + C) charm
Now choose settings - > Settings Change PC-> Wireless-> set Bluetooth ON

Now go up to devices and click Add a device
Generally, your Smartphone should appear in the window. Choose it.
Now, you will have to compare the code on the screen.
Click Yes if the same code would be visible on the phone.
Now your laptop computer and the smartphone are paired and you could share files between the device and the phone.

  • Satellite L755D Bluetooth does not work

    Dear users of the forum,

    My problem is:

    In my laptop is a
    * Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless adapter *.
The description says that it is a combination for WLAN and BT adapter.

WLAN works very well, is not BT!
Did not find all the switches on BIOS.
After looking for information, I installed battery and bluetooth driver filter.
The installer asked me to turn on the BT device. WiFi is turned on, but BT seams do not to be recognized.

I don't really know what to do... Any diag tool? Need other drivers or software? Could someone tell?

Please no answers don't like "RTFM" or "g00gle is our friend!" I searched online and on documentation solutions, but found nothing.

    Thank you very much...

    Kind regards

    Stefan

Could you give the name of full model of your Satellite L755D-xxx and the system you are using? Use you own preinstalled system or perhaps one preinstalled by Toshiba?

Please provide these details because it would be really interesting and useful

By the way: you're right: Atheros AR9002WB-1NG seems to support WLan and BT, this is the info I found on the page of Qualcomm.

And its right you need to install the driver WLan, filter for driver Atheros BT package and Toshiba BT stack to get the BT working (using Win 7)

In addition, BT must be activated using the FN + F8 key. (Win 7)

So in general this is everything you need to make it work,

I am new to Bluetooth and I have a new Toshiba Satellite P-305. It did not come with Bluetooth.

So I bought a dongle (actually 2) and they both install the drivers via BlueSoleil.
Then I find that I need an another Version of BlueSoleil for my 64-bit machine.

So I download and install, and find that it crippled unless I have buy this version 6.
But my requirements are few, just a link with my Verizon LG 8550 cell phone works online.

Can I get the drivers for my dongle to load and then I remove the Bluesoleil program and load the BtMon4Inst.exe, but after awhile the drivers for the dongle disappear and I am without Bluetooth operation.

I think got less drivers 64 bit Bluesoleil 6 version package Bluesoeil program because I can transfer photos between my phone and laptop. But when I look at the

Bluetooth devices from phone I have a lag of incoming com ports as phone I have port entering 29 and in the Device Manager, I have the port entering 28.
What Miss me to get a phone to the computer's bluetooth connection.

If you want to use the software BTMon, remove the Bluetooth software that came with the USB adapter to avoid conflict.

  • Satellite L750 - Bluetooth does not work with Windows 8 Pro

    Hello

Well, I got 2 systems of windows 7 on my laptop and I have upgraded to windows 8 Pro. I installed all the drivers and finally work doest bluetooth.

It works fine if I first start windows 7 wait to connect my Bluetooth mouse and reboot at startup of windows 8.

If I try to use the function keys to activate/deactivate flight mode (in fact I like to disable WLAN) he stopped Bluetooth to work and there is no way to return to work until I have restart the laptop with windows 7 and the function keys to activate Bluetooth WLAN.

I love my phone and I love working with windows 8, but it makes me mad and mock no more.

Any help? Please, I beg you!

PS: I already wrote in support of toshiba and they recommend to call Microsoft for help... Thanks a lot... its a driver problem and not really a problem of OS...

    > If I try to use the function keys to activate/deactivate flight mode (in fact I like to disable WLAN) he stopped Bluetooth to work and there is no way to return to work until I have restart the laptop with windows 7 and the function keys to activate Bluetooth WLAN.

The FN key disables and active BT and the WLan by turning airplane mode on or off. If you want to enable the BT or Wlan, you need to go into settings to win 8 PC-> Wireless-> BT switch

    More details here:

  • Bluetooth is not ready on Satellite P750

I'm trying to combine a Bluetooth device on my p750 satellite and when I press on "new connection" in the Bluetooth settings I get a message "Bluetooth is not ready."
I've activated Bluetooth with FN F8. In the Bluetooth wizard options, the Bluetooth is enabled.

I see not a physical switch anywhere, which allows to disable the Bluetooth...

    Any advice?

Toshiba computers laptops don t have physical switch to BT BT can be activated only with FN + F8.
When you turn on BT for the first time the BT driver will be installed and all components of BT appears in Device Manager. Usually software stack Toshiba BT will start and taskbar (notification icons) you will see BT small symbol.

Please check this box. If this symbol appears in red, then BT s device not ready for its use, but if the symbol is blue that you should be able to use the BT connection.

I can't say for sure, but I guess you didn't activate BT correctly. Please try again.
