  I bought a Satellite L600-01 b on a trip to China. It came with only one horrible Chinese edition of Windows7. So I installed a clean copy of Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. However I'm unable to find the device drivers for what he. The closest model on the site of Toshiba UK seems to be the L630. I installed all the drivers, that I could find there, but still, in Device Manager one device shows without a "PCI Simple Communications controller" driver.

  Unfortunately European pilot of Toshiba site does not provide XP drivers currently :( In my view, because this Satellite A series is very new on the market, we will have to wait for the official release.

  Drivers on the Toshiba page beta we are designed for US models, and so that you can find your A200 - 1 M 8. I think that it makes no difference what model of your choice. Just try it! ;)

  In addition it s your choice if you install Windows 7 x 64 or x 86. Some older applications may work not properly on the 64 bit OS. So it s according to the applications you run.
  But I'm going to buy Windows 7 64 bit because I have an old system with Windows XP where I can run my old applications.

  There is no special links. Only the place where you can find the drivers is the Toshiba official download page. If you find no drivers, you must wait. Now Vista drivers are priority and support for Windows XP edition family for new units certainly isn't the first job that Toshiba should do.

  I just recommend you read other topics on this forum about Windows XP Home edition on the new laptops Vista preinstalled. You will find lots of useful information.
