Satellite A200 - 15l (PSAE2E) - BSOD play Sims 3

Hello

I've been running the Sims 3 on my laptop for a few days.
It had been fine until last night when I had the * _display driver igfx stopped responding and has managed to recovered_ error.
This led to the screen, blacking out and eventually turn to blue.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 15l

Model # :* PSAE2E - 00J00CAV
Processor: * Genuine Intel(r) CPU T2080 @ 1.73GHz 1.73GHz
RAM * 2.00 GB
System type: * 32-bit operating system

I use Windows Vista Home Premium w / service pack 1.

I'm not very tech savvy, so you will have to bare with me, my apologies for that, I'm not sure where to find what graphic card I don't have 100%.
I found "+ Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset family 945 + y ' tab display of maps in the management of the computer if this is useful.
If this isn't the case, could you please tell me how to find any additional information, you may be able to help me with this problem.

I've updated the Express CHipset Family driver, I have just mentioned, installed all updates of windows my computer found and tried to run the game out of full screen in xp compatibility as well, but none of this stopped the game crashing.

Any advice would be very helpful, sorry if I have not provided all the necessary information.

Martin

Hello

Normally to reinstall the display driver should solve the problem, but before that, you first remove the old version of the driver.
Your laptop is equipped with an Intel 943GML graphics controller and driver can be based on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

The same error on my laptop's girlfriend with the SIMS 3 and update the display driver solves the problem. :)

  • Price of the Satellite A200 - 15l?

I bought the official windows vista magazine and inside was a brochure of toshiba, this manual is a range of laptops. Equium series caught my attention, especially the Satellite A200 - 15l, which has the processor intel pentium dual core 2080, vista edition windows Home premium, 160 GB HDD, 1 GB + 1 GB of RAM in other words 2 gig of ram. DVD Supermulti DL drive, and has a widescreen 15.4 "trubrite display. All for A £499 inc VAT. I can't find this phone anywhere on the internet, and all models of the A200 series, I found cost a lot more of A £499 for a lot less features. Could you please tell me where to find this laptop for this price, and if not why this addition was published. I have a link to a photo that I took of advertising here http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n278/wilkes27/18072007110.jpg thank you

    Hello

    Turn on the guy.
I think that the £ 499 is recommended that the price retail (RRP) or the suggested retail price (MSRP of the manufacturer).
As you know that unique dealers are responsible for setting the final price and not the manufacturer of the laptop!
    Don't forget this fact!

I assume that online merchants are less expensive that the computer stores in the city center!
In addition, the A200 series is a whole new notebook series (at this time) and I think that there are not many dealers who sell this laptop.

Until mid-December, I got the Synaptics Touchpad ' tap to click on "disabled. Then it became somehow activated, the context menu item to change to gray and the properties of the mouse, etc. settings contain no reference to it. It was suggested that updates nui Windows somehow. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for touchpad both directly from Synaptics and on the Toshiba site, but it did not help. Hi Juliana

I also read on the Vista updates that affect the parameters of the touchpad for me it sound very mysterious
I thought about the same procedure of reinstalling touchpad driver.
But it seems this helps doesn t to get the click back features.
I think the recovery CD would be the last resort.

  • Re: Satellite A200 - start with BSOD

    Hello.

I have a Satellite A200 which I had for about 18 months. I recently installed a burning software and as soon as it was completed a blue screen was displayed telling me the computer had been shut down to prevent damage.

It then restarts automatically and I try to log on, but after about 15 seconds, it goes the same blue screen and reboots again. I tried booting in safe mode but that doesn t help.

I m not really competent computer so I m not sure how to proceed.

If you have any advice really id appreciate it.

I think that if you can also boot into safe mode, you need to reinstall Windows. He s strange if your computer only shows BSOD after installing the burning software, but however, I think that there is no other way.
Do you have what burning software installed?
Maybe it s a virus and is not a problem of the burning software.

So to use the recovery disk and reinstall Windows. The HARD disk is reformatted completely then backup your data first if you can put the HARD drive in an external enclosure.

  • Satellite A200-1TW with keys (play, stop, pause) with the other player

    Hey all,.

I was wondering, is it possible to change the buttons on the top of the keyboard? Because I now use a nice, built-in media player in the vista sidebar. However, as next song and pause/play buttons do not work on this one. And there is no option in the game itself, so is there another way?

    Thanks in advance :)

    I agree with Akuma.
Can't set keys like play, pause, and stop in the Toshiba Software
I m using WinAmp and this application supports these buttons because I could activate this option in the settings of WinAmp

If your player does not support these settings then you will not be able to use these buttons with your favorite software

  • Satellite A200 - 15l HDD not no projection in the start menu

Hello everyone, I have a confusing question, on which I would like to get feedback...

I recently had to change the video cable in this model, nice simple job without having to extract the whole motherboard. However later, the system is unable to display HARD drive of choice of start menu and will not boot to the HARD drive.

The disc shows perfectly fine in the bios and is fully accessible on another computer.

What is confusing to me, is that the work had nothing to do with the part of the Board HARD disk, the only interaction I had with her was to remove the disk then plug it in again later. My first thought was maybe the joint on the SATA connection was broken, but then if that were the case it wouldn't show the car brand and model in the Bios?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated :)

    > My first thought was maybe the joint on the SATA connection had become broken, but if that were the case, that it does not show the drive make and model in the Bios?

The HARD drive is on the first page of the BIOS with details such as the name and size of the HARD drive?
If so, it means that BIOS correctly recognizes the HARD disk.

In this case I would try to turn on the unit and press F12
Now the start menu should appear on the display containing all bootable devices
The HARD drive is listed here?

  • Re: What version of BIOS uses Equium A200 - 15l

Can someone tell me what version of Bios the Satellite A200 - 15l use it please, and it is available at d/l?

Do you mean the version that is already installed on this satellite?
Or did you mean the version that is available on the European driver Toshiba page?

If you want to find out which version is installed on this laptop then access the BIOS and you will see the version number.
You must press the F2 key immediately after the laptop has been launched to access the BIOS.

But if you want to know what version of BIOS is available for download then check first the series Equium (label at the bottom of the unit) and then choose it in the European driver Toshiba page.
I assume that it belongs to the series of PSAE2.

  • Satellite A200-10Z (PSAE0E) - blue screen when I try to play the video

    Hey Geeks,

I have a serious problem; I use my laptop for the last 3 years with no problems, but since yesterday, it the BSOD every time you try to play flash videos or youtube. I tried to update the version of adobe flash after unstalling the existing drive flash but when even the reason persisted. Finally, I reinstalled the 32-bit version of Windows Vista from the recovery of the product back up drive after I lost all my data, guess what the problem has not disappeared. I can't play youtube videos?

I think it's maybe a problem with the BIOS update, this could be a corrupt problem display driver or should I think that there is a hardware problem as such. Is the existing graphics card Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset family 945GM. I tried to update the BIOS from the Toshiba support site, but there is no available for Satellite A200-10Z update. So point is should I try to reinstall the operating system once more, or should I be given the laptop to a service center to check any malfunction of the equipment.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

Generally speaking, it is not easy to say why this happens, but if you have already tried a restore of the Toshiba Recovery disk system and the problem still exists, it looks like more of a hardware malfunction. The recovery disk contains a pre-tested picture to factory settings, so everything should work correctly in the case otherwise it seems to be a hardware problem.

But he s strange why this happens only with videos. What you might try before contacting an authorized service provider is updated the display driver. Have a look at the Toshiba website, if a newer version is available for your laptop.

    Good luck! :)

  • Brightness too weak to play SIMS 3 screen satellite P855-335

    Hello

I would really appreciate if you could help me.

I bought there not too long ago, this laptop, Toshiba Satellite P855-335 and its runs smoothly, with all my apps and games. I love it! BUT when I play Sims 3 in screen is too dark, that it ruins the game as it feels as I play in the dark!

Is IM on windows 8 and running on full brightness setting, there anything I can do to change the brightness? so I can see the colors right when Im playing?

    Pease help!

Have you checked the game specific settings?
If I understand your problem, low light is visible only by playing the Sims 3. The brightness of the screen other games is OK.

For me, this means that the brightness and probably all the other graphic display settings can be changed in the game. I recommend the game menu and the options available. Something like gama, brightness etc.

Alternatively, you can try to reinstall the game sometimes new facility could be the key!

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8: issue playing in Open GL games

    Hello!

I am the proud owner of the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 (graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600). I have problem with playing the games in the graph Open GL system (Jedi Academy or other Quake III-chart-based on a gaming system, for example).

When I was looking for a answer to my problem, I have based a single thread, also marked useful, but unfortunately is not updated, site of the user's response is no longer available (http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=13561㓹).

I used Vista, now I am running XP, I downloaded the latest display drivers for XP, for my Toshiba A200 - 1 M 8, and whenever I try to launch the game with Open GL, I get error like:
"GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem".
My question is: How can I solve this problem? Are there drivers or solution to make it works? As always, any help is appreciated.

    Greetings - Andrew Wysokiski.

    Hello

Did you google for GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem.
And you will get a huge amount of hits.

    It really looks like a graphic driver problem. For most updated could help to solve this;
As far as I know not all drivers GPU supports the OpenGL but DirectX.

Someone recommended to check if the OpenGL was chosen (if possible). IF this settings are available, then you might find somewhere in the graphics driver options.

    Bye and good luck

  • Satellite A200 plays not only will not play DVD

I'm a first time user on this forum so Hello to everyone.

My problem is that my Satellite A200 of (duration Vista) won't play DVD. When I try I get the following message: "Windows Media Player cannot play video DVDs. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. Needless to say, I've played a bit with the appropriate settings and there was no change in the situation. In a response published in another forum, someone suggested that I ditch Windows Media Player in favor of something better. I thought that the alternative program, he has proposed would be free, but it wasn't. In any case, I tried to play the DVD with other programs and received the same basic message. Is not a thing of Windows Media Player, it's a thing of DVD playback. In addition, it does not matter if WMP isn't the BEST DVD player - I just want to play DVD! I wrote to one of support from Microsoft customer care and they wrote in saying that it wasn't their problem. They consider it a "question of material". I don't buy that.

Just a bit of history - I bought the computer second hand a good friend. Now, I don't ever remember playing a DVD on the computer, which somewhat confuses things for the following reasons. Just after I bought the computer, which is running Vista, I installed MP3 player software which has expressed its disagreement with the CD/DVD drive drivers. What I think is a quite common problem. This time Microsoft representatives were happy to help me and told me to delete two lines of registry keys. That fixed the problem to a certain extent, because now the reader a) still existed and b) could read and play CDs. But when I tried to play a DVD I got the above message.

So as I said, I never even remember reading a DVD on the drive, I don't know if the problems are related to the problem of shock of MP3 software, although it seems unlikely that they are related. Finally, the computer has been less than a year when I bought it and in all other respects, it has been very well (unbearable slowness of Vista by derogation). Unfortunately the extended warranty is now sold out so I hope this isn't a hardware problem. The fact is that, given that I've never even played a DVD on this thing, and he plays the CD without any problem (in addition, the drive can READ DVD, he can tell me all the chapters that are on a DVD and play the files that he - she won't just play movies), I don't think it's material. I think that there is a current bug.

If someone could shed some light on this matter, I would be eternally grateful!

    Concerning

    Tom

    Hi mate

I m using the VLC Player as well.
I m totally happy! It s for free, it s small, don t need a lot of material resources and manages almost all file formats.
    That s awesome!

I totally agree with you. VLC Player is more than recommended!

  • Re: Satellite A200 PSAF6A - his plays through speakers using headphones

When I plug my headphones into the port, nothing happens, still plays through the speakers.
Is it drivers or something, because I want it redownload.
    I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAF6A.

    Hello

This seems to be an Australian series for Toshiba laptop.
    You can find it here:
    http://www.ISD.Toshiba.com.au

You will find the audio driver and the most recent BIOS.

But I recommend to check the sound settings first.
I guess that's a Realtek audio chip in the Realtek audio Manager panel you could supply some parameters that control the headphones and speakers.

Tab of reading on the right you will find the headset by clicking right into this and check the options that are available.

    HII

The windows vista family edition was the operating system that was installed.
Compatibility issue with a particular software that I use, I changed the vista by a XP Professional SP3.
But since then, the computer crashes and present a blue screen. I wish I had some ideas to solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

The BSOD can be caused by the problem of hardware and software problem.
In your case it seems s due to software problem. Maybe a few compatibility problems between certain parts of the software

First you need to check if you are using the version of Win XP BIOS Yes this laptop needs a Win XP BIOS, which could be found on the European driver Toshiba page.

I m also interesting when the BSOD appears you installed Win XP successfully or it was not possible to install the XP because the BSOD?

If you were not able to install Win XP then I guess you don't have included SATA drivers participating in the crib on Intel Matrix Storage.

I recommend some threads here in the forum about this theme.
