Satellite A305-S6872-no Audio output device installed

I bought this new model Satellite A305-S6872 from Best Buy. It came with Vista OS and gives the error: No Audio output device installed. I called Toshiba tech support and was advised to use the recovery disk, since there is no driver from Toshiba Web site for audio driver. However, after the recovery, the problem remains. Help, please.

Hello

Is a unknown device din peripheral list manager? How it looks like there?
For me, it is really strange to get such error after installing recovery image.

I went in full with privilagesand Device Manager there is an exclamation following audio controller appliances. I looked at the General properties and it says: "this device is not configured correctly (code 1). I uninstalled the driver and downloaded Realtek AC97-Ref: 6285_Vista_APO_PG536 driver installed and rebooted but I still got the same error messages!

    Hello

As a boarder, said, if you have a Conexant sound card, you should look for a Conexant audio driver.
The Realtek driver will never work because that makes this different s.

Check other Toshiba laptops for the same card his Conexant. Maybe you can find a Conexant Vista driver.

  • Re: Satellite a series - error message "No Audio output device" installed

The small icon in the lower right corner that normally allows you to control the sound settings now appear with a red X next to it, and when I move the mouse over it I get the message above "No Audio output device" installed I have absolutely no idea why this happens suddenly, but I noticed a couple of weeks, and then a few days later, when I turned on the laptop, the sound was back to normal.

Now, I have this message again-, it seems it's random... sometimes when I turn on the machine it is ok, other times I get the above message. I touch any of the settings ever as I am a non-technical person, so have no idea why this is happening suddenly. I tried simply to reboot the machine, but it does not (today).

My machine is a portable satellite. If you ve of suggestions as to how I can just get my sound back to normal (i.e. in the background, something not not to even think to, it works just as you would expect), please posting a reply. Warranty service was going to get paid for their time. I'm sure it's a very simple solution and I would appreciate greatly any help you can give me.

Thanks yo a lot for your time in reading this.

I had to reinstall the drivers on my sucks TC-605 Win 8.1 running everything seems to work ok, except that I get a no audio output device installed.  I have tried everything I can think of, including the removal and reinstall all the drivers, deactivation and reactivation of the hardware in the Device Manager.  I think that perhaps there is a secret in order that the Intel Chipset drivers are installed before the Realtek audio drivers?  I've seen a lot of reports on various web sites and some that reference the Windows Audio service is restarted.  I tried ALL these "fixes" several times, but no luck!  Any help to diagnose and resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Satellite U300-152 - no audio output device is installed

The sounds are works well when I do update windows, update antivirus and updated some software like adobe air and adobe shockwave but when I open the laptop the next morning, there is a red cross marked in the speaker icon on the lower right of the laptop and it says : "no audio output device is installed".

I couldn't find the sound and game controller in Device Manager so I'm frustrated. Its been 3 days now, I use the laptop without noise.

Can you please help me in this matter?

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite U300-152
Windows 7 Ultimate but not pre-installed (Vista Home has been the pre-installed)

I tried to download the latest audio driver from realtek high defintion, but its still does not. Tried several restarts, System Restore, disable antivirus but does not yet.

I don't know what can be the problem but the fact is that updates Windows update offers some drivers and, in general, you should not install their Mr. with other words, you should only use the drivers from Toshiba.

What can you do now? Have you tried to reduce the OS to an earlier time (before installing updates) and check the functionality?

One last thing. Software driver Sound should start with Windows, then please check MSCONFIG > startup if the sound software is listed and enabled it.

  • Satellite L300D-243 - no audio output device is installed

    Hello

I look for a similar problem in the forum but have not found anything that's been resolved.
I'll try to explain how my problem came.

My sound is fine until when a few days ago I tried to lower the volume and then all of a sudden it froze.
Came a message that his unit has stopped working.
I restarted the laptop, but it has not started at all, nothing on the screen, just the fan runs at slow speed. I figured it by removing one of the plates of ram and then with the possible one began almost success except he was not an indication of a sound, just the message "no audio output device is installed", and an 'x' on the taskbar icon sound.

In Device Manager it is not anything related to an audio device High Definition Audio Controller except under the menu system devices.

So what do you think, is this a hardware or no problem and is it fixable.
Hope someone can give me an answer.

    Thanks in advance!

    Have you read this thread:
    https://Forum.Toshiba.EU/showthread.php?82746

    Open the Device Manager.
Then expand the sound, video and game controllers, click on the Realtek High definition Audio choose: turn OFF, then turn ON.

If you can not find Realtek HD audio device (this is the sound card), so I recommend you click on view and choose 'show hidden devices '. Perhaps the sound card appears in the list...

In addition, visit the Realtek driver page and download and install the latest Realtek HD audio driver.

Hope that it could solve the problem

I have a HP Pavilion dv6707us laptop with Windows Vista. My sound icon says "no audio output device is installed". When I open sounds, no device is listed, and when I go to Device Manager, there is no category of "sound, video and game controllers". Also, it does not show any audio device listed under any category even when I click on 'Show hidden devices '. I tried to install several audio drivers, but he always says something in the sense of "complete the installation because there is no media for this driver device. I think that my laptop came with Conexant HD audio, but it appears under "Programs", not in "Device Manager". I also tried to go on 'Administrative tools' Services' but Audio Windows is already activated.
