Satellite A305-S6916 issue of keyboard

Hi all

This is my first post on the forum; I hope that I will keep with Protocol and I appreciate any help in advance!

My Satellite, from a few hours, has experienced a mismatch of keyboard keys that does not affect the whole of the Council, only a few keys.

The left 'Shift' is no longer functions in capitalizing text or in general (the right is confirmed as functional); typing "n" reveals the letters "n6". and the SPACEBAR seems to move a text area to the right to add a space.

I have uninstalled/re-installed my keyboard drivers, restored my laptop to an earlier date (running Vista SP2); dismantled the Ribbon of the keyboard before you reinsert and run several anti-virus (Kapersky, Spybot, Ad-aware).

The problem persists.
Long story short, there at - it something I can / test to confirm what the problem is (and potentially resolve) or is it something as simple as needing a new keyboard?

Again, any suggestion or help is greatly appreciated!

From my point of view, it could be a problem with hardware keyboard.
Before you replace the internal keyboard, I recommend you connect an external USB keyboard to see if the same problem happens again.
If the same problem of keyboard is available using the external keyboard, a keyboard controller problem may be possible. Otherwise, it seems to be problem material internal keyboard

So, what to say. either you will be asked a few technicians for a replacement or you try to do it yourself anyway, you need a compatible keyboard and it can be ordered from the Toshiba service technicians

  • Toshiba Satellite A305 - S6898 USB malfunction

    Greetings and Salutations,

    I have an interesting dilemma with my Satellite laptop. Whenever I try to use the USB ports for devices in addition to my hub, keyboard and mouse, I get the error "USB device not recognized" infamous. Of course, this means that the unit does not operate. This happens on any of the three USB ports on my computer, but NOT with my keyboard, the mouse, or the hub they are connected.

    Now, lets hit some suggestions out of water before I give myself, because so far, I tried pretty much everything that has been suggested for this problem.

    I tried to uninstall the ports and allowing Windows to reinstall the drivers after reboot. That did not correct the error.

    I tried formatting the computer completely and put on a new installation of Windows. That did not correct the error.

    I tried the fix 'disconnect the computer's power. I left said computer turned off and disconnected from any source of energy for more than twenty-four hours. That did not correct the error.

    I updated the BIOS OF THE system to the latest version. That did not correct the error.

    There is no virus or malware in the system that can cause this error, as I indicated above, I formatted the system entirely, and he failed to correct the problem.

    I went into Device Manager with devices hidden showing and removed all USB devices hidden, disconnected from the past. This did not correct the error either.

    Essentially, I tried just about everything has proposed as a possible solution and come up with nothing. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's either BIOS or related material, but it is meaningless for me something associated material would allow SOME devices (keyboard, mouse and Hub) to function, while others do not.

    I recently bought a Satellite A305-S6858 in the States and I went down the Edition Vista Home premium preinstalled
    for Win XP 32 sp 3. I had several problems to lift the computer up and running. After reading several posts
    on various forums, I managed to install the OS, but I still cannot use the Intel video driver.

  • Connection problems Hotmail account on Satellite A305-S6909

    I experienced a problem connecting to Hotmail using IE8 on my Toshiba laptop. I posted this problem for Windows Live and my anti-virus. The two parties have not solved the problem after 2 months.     I don t use Hotmail but it is really strange. In my opinion, it has something to do with the settings of Internet Explorer, because everything does work with Firefox. Theoretically, this means that nothing is blocking your connection and AntiVirus/firewall doesn't block these connections in Hotmail.

    I have a Satellite A305-s6857.
    Windows xp 64 bit vista.

    If there is no entry in the Device Manager, it's quite strange. If the device works properly it is listed under imaging devices like Chicony camera.
    Somehow, it seems that there is no link between the cam and the motherboard.

    All you can do now is to test the functionality with the settings and see if the problem persists.

    I have seen other issues of keyboard on the thread, but none of them do not seem to match mine!

    I got this computer since January and already have problems with the keyboard. The main problem is the left arrow key - it works when I press on the left side, but not if I press on the other side of the key.

    I checked and found Toshiba common Modules for Windows XP (v1.00.09; 31/10/2008; 6.34 M). Download and reinstall. Maybe it will fix your problem.

    But it seems that Win 7 drivers are not published on this page for Satellite A305-S6829
    That's why I think that you could choose the page European driver of Toshiba touchpad drivers. Here you can choose the A305 or A300 series.
    I think you could also choose other touchpad Win 7 drivers to the most recent series of laptop.
    Please install the drivers for the touchpad and check if the FN + F9 key would work.

    I think that you couldn't find the right drivers XP because you didn t find on the right-hand page.
    Like you probably n t know that this series of laptop (Satellite A305) belongs to Toshiba from US and you have to find good drivers on Toshiba U.S. page!

    In addition, if you want to install Win XP on laptop thin, you will need to install the SATA drivers first.
