  I am looking for software of control/read on my laptop fan speed, because energy does not seem to do anything. It seems not serious if I set the 'method of cooling' to 'Battery optimized' or 'Maximum Performance' or fixed CPU processing speed.   Sorry but I do not share your view on Power saver utility. Do you really believe that Toshiba create tool like that for nothing? Just FYI: public service power saver is not available with Vista operating system and on this forum, you will find topics where people really miss this fun and useful utility.

  In any case, it is well known that many tools that you can find on the internet do not have much influence on laptop cooling fan speed. To be honest, something like that can be very dangerous because the majority of users want to have silent notebooks and overheating problems are totally underestimated.

  Can you please be a bit more specific about your problem? Your laptop is too strong for you or is the short battery life? Why you are not satisfied with this tool?

  Only, I have experienced the same situation. Support cat HP told me that Photoshop CS4 installs the TWAIN plugin with the original installation.

  Then put the TWO plug in/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4 / Plug - Ins / import-export

  What is the number of short model of your laptop? usually, you can find it on the underside of the laptop.

  Theoretically, bad Os. or hardware problem may cause reboots in the round. Overheating can also make the Cpu and other parts on the overheating of the system mobo and it restarts.

  Although I wouldn't normally recommend this method you can try to install the Windows XP drivers for other models L300D laptop. If these do not work, then contact your dealer or support of Toshiba and ask them if they know that if all Windows XP drivers will be provided in the future for your computer model. your laptop seems to be a new model, so maybe it's a matter of waiting a few months for that to happen. I suggest you check the drivers on all driver Toshiba USA, Toshiba Canada and Toshiba Europe sites.

• Impossible to find 2 divers for Satellite L300D

  I found most of the drivers I need on the Web site for my XP install on my laptop satellite L300D, however there are still two "other devices" in Device Manager with many yellow question marks by them (I've been told I need drivers to fix... correct me if I'm wrong).

  The two are:

  SM Bus controller
  Video controller (VGA Compatible)

  If someone could help me find the drivers I need to solve these two problems I would really appreciate it.

Toshiba doesn´t press on his website Internet Windows XP for this model - no driver found on their website. OK, so I switched to ATI - tried to install catalyst / pilot, didn t work, I got a message "no succesfull installed.

  Does anyone have a solution / idea?

  Another problem: the system says, need a driver for SM Bus controller. What should I do here?

  Because the laptop uses the ATI graphics card, you will need to install the driver of ATI graphics card. I think that you need the driver for the ATI Radeon X 1200 control some pages like omegadrivers.net and similar
  The chipset driver is an ATI due to AMD CPU driver.

  Audio driver seems to be Realtek.
  I recommend that you visit the page of Realtek and download the driver of the page.

  I recently acquired a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300D-11V to my daughter when she was upgraded to a netbook. It had Vista on it and I tried to installed Windows 7. I've never owned a notebook pc before, only a desktop pc; and they have never been through an OEM like Toshiba, but is built for me or by me. I bought Windows 7 and here, asked if he had any tips to install the drivers on my laptop Toshiba.

  Windows installs all drivers actually when it installs. Not the best that you not understand, or later, but enough so that everything works.

  I had problems but try to update of maps, graphics and imaging (webcam) devices. Windows gave a dated 2008 latest ATI driver accredited a pilot signed for the ATI Radeon X 1250. After a few searches through Toshiba, I managed to update this for 2009. But it took 2 days to research before finding what I think is the last Catalyst (and last?) ATI Radeon X 1200 series v.8.593.100.0 dated the 10.02.2010. Unless of course you know better... ??
  The webcam Chicony USB 2.0 CNF7051 is something else.

  The drivers for this camera software might work when installed by Toshiba with all the other stuff of Toshiba, and they resolutely refuse to work if you remove the software of all Toshiba with a clean install of Windows 7. The camera works you understand with other software; Messenger or Skype; but on its own... no! I managed to remove the message "the pilot was able to start" and thought that I had a crush, but I now have a message "webcam disabled or has failed.

  At least he does when you try to start the software, not on every start at the beginning. So I'll stick to this... unless of course... ??
  At times like this I realize why I buy a machine no OEM and install my own operating system and the latest drivers, not the old ones that are provided and not updated by OEM.

  In my opinion, it is not difficult to find drivers for Toshiba laptops. You just look for the right place.

  Many people with European models of research pilot on the US page and I was wondering why they can't get good portable.

  I assume you have the European model so you'll find drivers on Toshiba are supported on the page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.
