Satellite L350 - 60-90 delay at the beginning

Hello Forum,

After that I started my laptop, I see the windows logo, and after that, I have to wait for 60 to 90 seconds...
Is this normal or is it better for me to call the helpline?
I think it's strange because you want a laptop to start very quickly!

Greatings,
Brian

  • Satellite L350 does not connect to the internet, network adapter yellow exclamation

Trying to help my Nan with his laptop...
    Model is Satellite L350-170

Does not connect to internet, even using the Ethernet cable. Network cards have yellow exclamation marks on it and seems he needs an updated driver. How the hell can I download and update if it does not connect to the internet. And then, what update is necessary, because I searched on here and there is no update driver for network card?

She had various internet help from its supplier and a visit at home but still no joy. Internet works fine on other devices. Any advice greatly appreciated.

All the drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page.
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Choose your model of laptop in the form of download and the system that is pre-installed on you unit.
Then, you will get the list of drivers.

If you are not able to connect to the internet due to lack of driver LAN/WLan, then you another computer for download.

You asked how to remove the network card?
Usually, you need to access the Device Manager (in Control Panel) then we need to expand the area to network adapters and you will find the LAN and WLan card.
Click the single LED adapter, and then press or click on uninstall button driver

  • Satellite L350-171 - where to get the DVD to upgrade Toshiba (Vista to W7)

    Hello world

I have a Satellite L350-171 and got a W7 DVD update "awhile." I get only round to install now and the first thing I see in the instructions, it's that I should have a upgrade DVD Toshiba, which I did :-(

Anyone know where I can get one, or if I need any? If not then can I just upgrade and hope that all drivers updated automatically? Sounds a bit risky

I hope this is the right place to ask.
If it isn't then point me in the right direction and I'll ask here rather :-)

Thanks in advance for any help

    Damian

A few years ago, Toshiba offered this upgrade program.
It's over and you can't upgrade drive more.

What you can do is be upgraded using the original disc of Microsoft, but I think you should do clean install Win7. Your model of laptop is supported for Win7 and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Before starting with the upgrade Win7 create original Vista recovery DVDs.
If you need assistance with installing Win7 or if you have other questions, you are welcome.

  • Satellite L350-14F - Vista cannot start the Realtek RTL8101e WLAN

    Dear readers

I'm Dutch, if my English is not very good, so my apologies for that but I have a big problem.

My Toshiba Satellite L350-14F with Realtek RTL8101E family PCI-E fast ethernet NIC (NDIC6.0 with Vista OS) cannot establish a connection with the outside world...
I tried many drivers, but all do not work... I can't find any other driver. So I guess there must be something else on the computer...

I reinstalled my computer while going to format all my hard drive and I have no CD of drivers for the laptop.
When I got a _wired_ connection, Vista can try solve the problem itself. He found a driver and then I am redirected to a site of toshiba... Where to download a driver from East. I start the download and installation, but then the installation says that I don't have a correct serial number...

All this me freaks out there... who can help me please?

    Greetings

PS: I checked my BIOS for strange things and one thing caught my attention on
I have an option: Wake On LAN anti-piracy. And it is disabled
BUT I can't change it to activate.

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you mean without link with the outside world
The wireless network card is recognized correctly in the device (without yellow exclamation points) Manager?
The router is visible on your computer?

First of all, you must make sure that you use the latest WLAN driver on Toshiba website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of BIOS that you can find on the site of Toshiba, too.

You should check the WLAN Setup on your laptop and the router. Make sure you that you have disabled Vista of WLAN power save function. You can find this option in Vista Power Management.
Make sure that you use the same standard WLAN on your laptop as on the router, for example, 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.
Last but not least you must update the firmware on your router. You can find it on the site of the factory. After the firmware update unplug the router for 5 minutes of the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

PS: Wake on Wireless LAN has nothing to do with this issue. It of a feature that you can boot the laptop via a WLAN connection.

  • Satellite L350 won't boot to the top

Satellite L350 my daughter does not start. When you press the power button, the HARD drive light and there is no HD activity. Something that was noted is that the battery is fully charged a couple of days, but today when I tried to boot up the laptop, the battery led shows that it is unloaded. Does anyone know a remedy to fix the problem?

Sorry, but I still don t understand what happening exactly when you try to start the laptop.
Remove the battery and connect the laptop on AC power only. When you do this press power button to start the laptop.

What exactly happens? You don't see anything on the screen?

  • Satellite L350-171 not available in the United Kingdom

    Hello again!

Does anyone know why the stock of L350-171 is all this?
I'm trying to get a replacement from Tesco for mine failed, but Tesco do not know when they will receive the stock.

Also tried to look away, online sales in the United Kingdom and they all show the laptop as out of stock. I hope that this is not an abandoned product! I tried to call customer service to ask Toshiba but abandoned after 15 minutes on hold: (.)

Get very itchy to pay for a new gadget but do not record/play with it!

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t believe this laptop model could be interrupted at the moment.
The L350 is one of the new series of Sam at the moment and maybe this is the reason why the Satellite L350-171 is not yet available

Maybe you should wait a bit.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L350 - does not start after the BIOS update

    Hello

I recently (yesterday) downloaded the latest version of bios update dated dated 25/02/10 2: 20 - WIN, after download and does run the software from the laptop immediately stopped working and stop. I am now no longer able to boot up the laptop at all, all I get is the power light on and the hard disk light flashes, I hear the spinning CD/DVD drive, but what is not screen anything, I don't think this is the start.

Is there a way to fix this without taking it to a store/engineer, BIOS recovery?

The laptop is a Satellite L350, I opened the laptop to try to reset the CMOS by removing the card mother battery (not sure if it would have helped), but as much as I know it doesn't have an or I'm not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Andy

    Hi Andy,.

Hmm... If the BIOS update failed, you can't do anything because only an authorized service provider has professional diagnostic and recovery tools to redo an update.

So in my opinion, you must contact a service provider authorized in your country. Get in touch with the guy and ask for help. They will tell you what to do now.

    Here is their list:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an ASP.

    Good luck! :)

  • Is satellite L350-170 - possible to use the laptop as external monitor

Ok... So I broke the other day to the top of my screen on my laptop, and was amazing, if it is possible to use another laptop as an external monitor.

while I put my files on an external hard drive

or isit only possible connection to the pc?

    Hello

It would be possible to use the second laptop as an external display ONLY if the computer a laptop would support the video port line-in to the receipt of the video signal.

But the most common books supports the only video out s-Video port or a vga port, and in this case, you will not be able to use the laptop as a second monitor external.

For example, the Satellite L350-170 supports only the RGB port that allow you to connect this laptop to external monitor but you can not use this laptop as compensation for external monitor.

    See you soon

  • Darks Satellite L350 - 03 M: after changing the display resolution of 1024 x 768

    Hello

    I just bought a Satellite L350 - 03M and the resolution is set in 1440 by 900 and I want put it in 1024 x 768.

When I do that I get 2 black inches around all 4 sides.

Can someone tell me if there is a updated driver that can help? I have the same graphics card in my computer hp laptop, and it works beautiful changing screen resolutions.

I tried the toshiba drivers for my laptop to type, but he says that they are up-to-date.

What is a Canadian series laptop? It seems that Yes

    In any case
If your laptop was using the Intel graphics card then check drivers for Intel graphics card Manager in the control panel.

There is an option called image format Options.

If I m not mistaken not it must be a framework which would set the full display screen

    So check it out!

  • Satellite L350 - is not connect to the router

I had a problem with the radio on my Satellite L350. Even if the router is right next to the computer, it is not for her. It can see if I do a search but only says: connection not available. I have 2 other computers works great on the router. The router is a Netgear.

    Any body can help?

    Hello

What should I say now? First attempt to update the WLAN driver that you find on the Toshiba WLAN Portal:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Also, check the TCP/IP settings of the wireless network card. If your router supports DHCP, check if this option is enabled. Also make sure that the DHCP client and DNS work properly.

You use a firewall? If so try turning it off. Maybe it s blocking of the Internet connection.

By the way: what OS do you have?

    Hello

I have no experience in using the True image Home 2011, but I think that it is a wrong forum for asking this question.
You should ask this in the forum of True image Home 2011

I found this support page on the software manufacturer's page:

  • Satellite L350-24U: how to clean the keyboard after having poured orange juice

    Hello out there.
I spilled my L350-24U with Orange juice.
    Now, I have 4 keys to self-retaining :-(

Can someone tell me how to clean the keyboard without damaging the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it's still a stupid situation
Usually you can remove the keyboard of the laptop very easily.
The keyboard is fixed with screws hidden under thin plastic cover near the line of F1 - F12 key.

If you would remove plastic this cover then you would be able to remove the screws as well. Then you could lift the keyboard carefully and could disconnect the flat cable of the keyboard and the motherboard.

Notes; two small latches on both sides of the connector must be moved in order to disconnect the cable.

Then you could remove the keyboard and could clean it with a damp lint.
PS: the caps can be removed too.
But be very careful. You must raise the CAP to get it for free.

There are many videos on youtube...

  • Re: Satellite beeps Pro 4 times at the beginning upward

When I turn on my Satellite Pro it rings 4 times then stops.

After a few seconds, that the fan turns off, the power button stays on, but nothing else happens.

Can someone tell me what mean the beeps?

    Thank you.

    Hello

In order to provide a precise answer, we need exact description of the model. Toshiba has two different BIOS on different models of Toshiba and I believe that they have different codes. It's certainly the hardware problem, but it can be all to implement, RAM CPU.

I think anyway, there is nothing that you can do it alone. Only thing you can do is to contact the nearest authorized service provider and ask for help. using diagnostic tools, they can say which hardware component is defective.

I forgot my massword HARD drive and I can't reboot my system.
How can I recover my password HARD drive in my notebook L350-16U?

    Thank you

    Hello!

The HARD drive password can be removed from no one. Sorry this isn't a joke, it's done.

The only way is to swap the HARD drive, but your data is lost.
