  I recently bought a Satellite L450-188 (number PSLY0E-03K019EN) running under Windows 7 64-bit

  I use the laptop with a DJ program called Rane Serato Scratch Live, I got latency usb problems, getting usb dropouts when I try to use the program on the smallest audio buffer position (which I expect to be able to do)

  When I contacted support at Serato team with my problem, they suggested that I run a program to check the time DPC on my laptop, when I presented the report to them, they said ACPI.sys was the origin of the problem and suggested that interest me to turn it off, but I wasn't too comfortable with that.

  The other suggestion was to try to find updates the bios for my laptop, but I'm not too set up with that sort of thing, and I'm worried I might damage the laptop maybe installing the wrong thing.

  Can someone give me advice on this topic, because I don't know what to do

  Normally the ACPI means Advanced Configuration and Power Interface and control options for energy savings.
  So if something is wrong with the ACPI.sys file I recommend reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc.
  By the way: are you running pre-installed Windows version or another?

  Before you begin the BIOS update, close all running programs and extract all the files from zip archive. You start the update as an administrator and connect the AC adapter. Also, make sure that the battery is fully charged.

  You are able to buy a graphics card advanced for this a TOSHIBA SATELLITE L450-188 instead of the standard bog which is delivered with the machine, because the rate of image rendering when I watch the DVD are appalling and also I do a graphic level so I need to use the Adobe Photoshop 3D features but as expected the graphics card is not fast enough or large enough to support it please could someone help?

  I just got my 1330z h8 which I ordered with 2G card video HD 7570. When I go back the system info, it says:

  Total available graphics memory: 7851 MB

  Dedicated graphics memory: 2048 MB

  Dedicated system memory: 0

  Shared system memory: 5803 MB

  I am not very savvy, computer, but that sounds right?  I don't see 2 gig listed for the size of the video memory. I just I got what I ordered!

  The Satellite L875D-10R supports 7640 G AMD Radeon HD internal graphic unit. This GPU is part of the processor AMD Quad-Core A8 - 4500M.

  Graphics memory depends on main memory. A part of the main memory would be assigned to graphics memory. In the case of 8 GB RAM main GPU can use up to 4083 MB by using the 64-bit system.

  You should also know that this will be controlled by the graphics driver and you cannot change it manually.

  Try a different display of the L30 series driver. I PSL33 L30-134 and the use of XP, but I use the L30 PSL30 display driver, because this driver has the ability to change the size of the video memory (this option is missing PSL33 driver). So if you might have 32 MB (which is how I imagine rather memory assigned to your VGA) you can increase the video memory of this machine by changing the value of memory assigned in the bios of your machine.

  No, 512 MB is not true. The maximum size of video memory is 256 MB, but I do not know why your system shows 512 MB. If you set the video memory up to 256 MB performance will be no higher. Do not waste this memory to change anything back to 128 MB.

  Using the latest display driver (you can download it at toshiba), then you will have the option of frame buffer memory. The initially installed driver doesn't have this option. You will be able to use the memory of 128 MB for vga. If you put your L30 512 MB, you can use 256 MB of video memory. But I found no differences in the games between 128 MB and 256 MB.
