Satellite L50-B-23F - how to move to the AMD graphics card

On this laptop its says I have intel graphics card integrated over an Amd Radeon r7 m260 but for some reason its only using low-end intel graphics when I'm games. When I right click on the desktop and my window appears there is a tab to configure switchable graphics but the custom of thing open.

Someone at - it ideas as to why its not switching or can it put me myself.

Thanks in advance

In Catalyst Control Center Power, click on select Maximum Performance when it is plugged
Then in global settings of Switchable Graphics also choose maximize Performance
Then click on the switchable graphics Application settings

Now, you would be able to add an application (for example a game) that could use this graphics card settings
Simply tap the exe of the game and add to the list of applications.
After that, you will see the exe file in the list. Click the graphics settings and set it to high performance.

By the way: this YouTube clip could be interesting...
It shows you how to go to ATI GPU and best performance of the GPU.

How to disable BIOS (or uefi or otherwise), the graphics card intel?

It is not possible to disable the GPU (no matter if its gpu internal or external) in the BIOS.
This option is not supported by the BIOS.
You can disable the internal GPU in Device Manager, or you can configure the settings to use only the nVidia GPU.
This can be done in the nVIdia Control Panel.

  • Satellite L650-11F - cannot install driver page of the ATI graphics card

I just bought a Satellite L650-11f and tried to update the drivers for my Ati hd5650.
The problem is the control of catalyst can I install without problem but when I try to install the site display drivers driver ati I get this error:
ATI catalyst mobility can t be downloaded due to the incompatibility of hardware/software on your computer. The version of your driver card is not supported. for an update of the graphics driver, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.

How should I update with the latest display drivers cause the manufacturer are 6 months old?

    Hello

You have a few problems with the Toshiba display driver?
Graphics drivers from Toshiba are modified for mobile use, this means that the Toshiba drivers support for GPU overheating protection.
ATI drivers don t support this protection and this is the reason why you get this message.
Generally, you have to take the driver of Toshiba page

Of course, it is possible to install the ATI drivers also.
But you would need to install the driver in Device Manager.
To use the Advanced installation procedure that would allow to choose the driver downloaded from the ATI page you simply forcing windows to choose such driver

But note; You can use these drivers ONLY at your own risk

    Hello

I just got a laptop Toshiba L50 - 11j B, and I installed Windows 7 64 bit on it. After you have installed all the drivers, I noticed that timke start-up and the overall performance is pretty slow. I wonder how just AMD graphics card work and totally disable onboard Intel one.

Right mouse click on the desktop and open option configure switchable Graphics.

    Dear members of the forum,

probably due to a fault of the graphics card dedicated to my

    Toshiba Satellite P305-S8822 (PSPC4U - 02T 014)
    Processor Intel Core 2 Duo T 5550
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card
    3072 MB PC5300 DDR2 SDRAM
200 GB Serial ATA hard drive

I'm not able to install Windows 7 or an another Version of Windows. Because I don't have the dedicated graphics card (only the onboard integrated graphics card) and found no BIOS option to turn it off, I would like to remove it from the motherboard. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out whether or not the ATI graphics card is welded (which this would make very difficult). Thanks a lot for your answers and a better idea to solve the problem.

To be honest, it won't be easy to solve your problem. Why?
Many people who have mobile machines the same logic valid for desktop computers. Exchange upgrade or hardware components on mobile units is very limited and you can simply swap the GPU or change the BIOS settings.

If the GPU is faulty in many cases entire motherboard must be replaced. I don't know what other people will write here, but what you can do is contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help or advice what can be done about it.

  • Satellite A350D-10Y - failure of the external graphics card?

    Hello guys,.

I have a toshiba Satellite A350D-10Y and I get some sounds of the sound system of the laptop, but a kind of Mermaid on the mother, accompanied by lights driver dvd, map emitte acoustics is two short beeps. I'm getting these two short beeps loops within a period of 5 seconds +-.

I downloaded a video for you, to listen to the sound emitted by the MB, in the end you can hear better because you get less noise from the cpu fan:

Feature of the motherboard: ATI external graphics card

    Things I've done:
-Remove the battery and try to put on without it.
-Switch of RAM on the slot a RAM
-Clean cpu fan one its exhaust
-Change is the motherboard on a new

Now, the problem was taken up to, or is the processor or the external graphics card.

I think that the problem of the graphics card, because if these was a problem of the processor, I'd get the audio system of the laptop beeps and not a buzzer next to the MB.

    Can anyone here help me?

From my point of few it of not possible to say what s wrong with the laptop without running certain diagnostic tests and check the part.

The often shorter and emits a beep when turning procedure appears due to the POST (power on self-test) failure.

This essential POST routine determines the available memory real quantity and checks for the presence of required hardware components.
In case one of the hardware components would be defective, the power on self test could not be transmitted correctly and the laptop would begin to create some beeps.

If you are sure that the modules of memory so that the card mother isn't affected, then one of the pieces referred to as CPU / GPU can be the troublemaker.

  • [p7-1240] How can I find out what graphics cards will work with my motherboard?

I recently went through the nightmare of trying to install a Gigabyte GTX 650 in my PC. After a few days of struggle and scouring the internet for answers, I discovered that it is not compatible with the BIOS on my motherboard, and HP does not update the BIOS. I returned the card and is now seeking a new, but I'm not sure what card works now, since my computer meet the requirements of system for the graphics card and it stil ldid does not work. Because the GPU manufacturers do not list the specifications of the BIOS under system requirements, how can I know if a graphics card will work with my system?

My computer is a p7-1240 with a 520W PSU upgrade and approximeately 11 "of space to install the card.

    Thexn, welcome to the forum.

The problem is a lot of video cards latest require the computer to have a complete UEFI BIOS.  HP began using one in mid-October 2012.  Before that date, the BIOS is the legacy.  This is why the video card does not work with your computer.

I don't know what you would spend on a card, but MSI is a GTX 750ti which is a VBIOS hybrid.  It has a switch to change to inheritance or UEFI.  Is there a video link directly below the image of a card.  Paul of Newegg gives a complete description of the map.

I like the best EVGA cards.  Their Support gave me a lot of information on their cards.  However, you will need to return to a GT 640 map to find one of their cards that does not require the UEFI BIOS.  They have a few updates for their BIOS' are which solves the problem, but we must call them for accurate maps.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.
