Satellite L650-11F - cannot install driver page of the ATI graphics card

I just bought a Satellite L650-11f and tried to update the drivers for my Ati hd5650.
The problem is the control of catalyst can I install without problem but when I try to install the site display drivers driver ati I get this error:
ATI catalyst mobility can t be downloaded due to the incompatibility of hardware/software on your computer. The version of your driver card is not supported. for an update of the graphics driver, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.

How should I update with the latest display drivers cause the manufacturer are 6 months old?

Hello

You have a few problems with the Toshiba display driver?
Graphics drivers from Toshiba are modified for mobile use, this means that the Toshiba drivers support for GPU overheating protection.
ATI drivers don t support this protection and this is the reason why you get this message.
Generally, you have to take the driver of Toshiba page

Of course, it is possible to install the ATI drivers also.
But you would need to install the driver in Device Manager.
To use the Advanced installation procedure that would allow to choose the driver downloaded from the ATI page you simply forcing windows to choose such driver

But note; You can use these drivers ONLY at your own risk

  • Satellite L650-1FU - cannot install the new page ATI ATI driver

    Hi all

Everytime I try to download and install the latest driver for my L650 ATI he says he does not support! I can only install one that is available on the website of Drivers from Toshiba. However, he's old enough!

Can you give me a hand?

    It is correct.
As far as I know the reason is the following:
The ATI card that nVidia drivers are not changed and not designed for mobile use.
The point is that the use of these drivers, the GPU would go better performance and this would lead to higher levels of temperature.
This can affect the GPU and in the worst case sound leads to damage GPU.

As far as I know Toshiba use clean, updated drivers as well as some other notebook manufacturers.

However, in case you want to install this driver, you have to through the Device Manager.
You can use the "Advanced" installation procedure which allows to point to the driver folder that contains the files from ATI.

But the use of these drivers is at your own risk

  • Satellite L70-B-150 - how do I disable the integrated graphics card

Hi everyone (sorry for my English)

I bought Satellite L70-B-150, it has two graphics cards: integrated intel hd 4600 + amd radeon r9 m265x,.

How to disable BIOS (or uefi or otherwise), the graphics card intel?
Of course, I know I can disable win8 equipment control panel, but what I need is to disable since the whole pc, because my linux operating system does not support the bi - gpu.

Thank you in advance for a solution

How to disable BIOS (or uefi or otherwise), the graphics card intel?

It is not possible to disable the GPU (no matter if its gpu internal or external) in the BIOS.
This option is not supported by the BIOS.
You can disable the internal GPU in Device Manager, or you can configure the settings to use only the nVidia GPU.
This can be done in the nVIdia Control Panel.

In the specification, it says there r:
Type: NVIDIA Geforcea? ¢ Go 7300 with TurboCache technology

There is also another laptop, with VIDIAA® Geforcea® 7300 Go with 256 MB of Turbocachea? ¢ technology (64 MB of VRAM) dedicated GDDR2 and 192 MB shared system memoirs.

WHAT IS THE BEST? or do I have to look any further for a better?
I would like to buy a laptop and you would help me a lot to choose from. Thank you.

    Hello

I would say that the first one is the best, you have more available videoram and it could be extended much more then the other.
But if you can accept such machine, then wait a little, because the new generation of portable computers equipped with the platform "santa rosa" are coming,
who have a better and better chipset integrated graphics cards.

I can give you a good indication for the moment, but you can perform a search in google for "santa rosa toshiba", so you will probably find something.

  • Satellite L650 - 1 M 0: could not activate the new wireless card

    Hello

I replaced the wireless card in the laptop on WiFi + BT (Combo). New brand of laptop do not had favor of BT
Bluetooth and WiFi work correctly on the system drivers that the system itself.

The only problem with the new adapter is unable to activate or disable the network modules.
Since my laptop does not support default BT will automatically turn off the controller module.

WiFi must be turned off and as in the previous card - a function key. Unfortunately, wireless in the function bar option has disappeared, and the FN + F8 key combination does nothing. Responsible for the light WiFi is on all the time.

It is possible to activate the WiFi module as before?
    Very please help!

    Laptop: TOSHIBA L650 1 M 0
    The new network adapter: BCM94313HMGB

    Sorry for my bad English.
I used the Google Translator because I can't speak English. Only the Polish language ;)

    > Is it possible to activate the WiFi module as before?

You have replaced the WLan module, which means that the hardware configuration has been changed. This means that the different module has affected the functionality of the software.

The new WLan/BT BCM94313HMGB combo card seems to be designed by Broadcom.
Of my knowledge that supports most of the laptops Toshiba Intel / modules Realtek or Atheros. This is why I think there may be a compatibility problem between the FN key software and this module.

Maybe you can try to install the Broadcom driver once more to check if this can help, if not you will have to renounce that.

I'm not able to install Windows 7 or an another Version of Windows. Because I don't have the dedicated graphics card (only the onboard integrated graphics card) and found no BIOS option to turn it off, I would like to remove it from the motherboard. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out whether or not the ATI graphics card is welded (which this would make very difficult). Thanks a lot for your answers and a better idea to solve the problem.

To be honest, it won't be easy to solve your problem. Why?
Many people who have mobile machines the same logic valid for desktop computers. Exchange upgrade or hardware components on mobile units is very limited and you can simply swap the GPU or change the BIOS settings.

If the GPU is faulty in many cases entire motherboard must be replaced. I don't know what other people will write here, but what you can do is contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help or advice what can be done about it.

  • Satellite L650-11F - how to access HARD drive recovery?

    Hello!

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L650-11F.

The other day I had a huge massive Goner virus (lol) and the computer is turned off. Whenever I tried to turn it on, it started to load Windows, and then restart. I tried to start Windows in safe mode but the same thing happened, just keep restarting. I tried to repair Windows (by pressing f8 and etc.) and without success, he kept restarting.

So I tried to put it because it came from fabric and when I press 0 or F1 happears just 2 options: choose an opperating system to start or press tab to select a tool: Windows 7 tools: Windows memory diagnostic

Can you help me please? Is there another way I can access the hidden hard drive recovery partition? Please :(

    Hi dakova,.

Ist it Toshiba's original OS is still installed? I ask this question because it of necessary for the recovery of HARD drive. If you have installed another OS, you can access t HARD drive recovery option.
In addition, recovery of HARD drive option is available if you press the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced boot menu, select fix my computer. The exact procedure is described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

Alternative, you can take the Toshiba recovery disc. This will also restore the original settings. :)

    Hello

Which Intel graphics card has been installed on your laptop?
It's an Intel 852GME 16 to 64 MB shared memory graphics card?

I found friendly informative on the Intel page and it seems that the material of the graphics card does not support DirectX9, but only the DirextX7 and the DirecttX8

The graphics driver for the Intel page will not help you.
First of all you will not be able to install it because it s is not designed for the use of computer Toshiba laptop and secondly the hardware does not support.

But I give you advice if you are looking for an earlier version of the driver.
Some laptops use the same graphics card. Try to find the driver in series of various Notebooks with the same graphic card.
But the new facility is going to change anything. The DirectX 9 API is not supported

This CD also contains the ATI graphics driver.
