  Can someone please point out that I need to have access to these features to work the drivers...

  FN - keys.
  -Ethernet output.

  You should choose this series to download driver.
  You can download the drivers from the European driver Toshiba page.

  The Satellite L500 doesn t supports Windows XP then you will need to look for other pilot sites.

  In your case I am looking on the site of the factory of the sound chip. Normally, you can also download the audio driver.

  And don t forget to install SP3 before installing the audio driver. SP3 contains 2 fixes for Audio cards high definition and you will need!

  As far as I know that the laptop supports SATA 2.5 HDD so you will need a SATA USB caddy.

  I put t know what OS do you use, but your laptop is supported for Win7 32 & 64 bit.

  You must install keys FN TOSHIBA Flash Cards support utility features in a first time and then TOSHIBA Value Package added.

  I have read that I need to find drivers for my hardware-s manually, but I don't know...
  Which models have the same Chipset, LAN, sound card, video card, WIFI?

  I found that information, and it wasn't enough for me:
  (I mean that is not too precise on the material parts given...)

  -T6500 Intel GM45 Express chipset
  (Any other Chipset GM45 driver can be used, or should I look for one with the same processor?)
  (Is the card its included in the chipset driver? If not... should which sound driver I use? -I have not found any specification on the sound card.)

  -Intel WiFi Link 5100 network card
  (Is it LAN + WIFI)?

  As you say the laptop supports the Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset.

  The Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN Wlan card and drivers are here:

  The graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570.
  I think that you will need to check certain pages 3rd of group for a compatible driver because I didn t find anything on the page of Toshiba

  In General, change the HARD drive is not complicated and on most phones models can be made easily.

  I have European Satellite M50 and the HARD drive is under the cover of the HARD drive. You can find it on the lower side of your laptop.
  It is the largest. Remove this cover and you will see how the HARD drive is fixed.

  As I can see that your laptop is not supported for Windows XP Home edition. It is fully supported for Vista and Win7 only.

  To be honest I recommend you to install Win7. It works perfectly on this model of laptop. This option isn't for you, or must be Windows XP Home edition?
