Satellite L500 - signal without wire WIRELESS fall - try this!

I just wanted to post that I recently had an ongoing problem with MOM having its wireless signal fall from his Satellite L500, but I since found the very simple solution and wish that there was a post on the forum picked up by Google like that!

It runs under Windows 7, but basically, I didn't know that power modes - high performance, balanced etc done (in the laptop) network card and router. My mother constantly had his laptop on the management of balanced diet plan and that means that the router was actually said to go into a power saving mode. A bit of a pleb I.T., it took me a few hours to understand, but the link to the Microsoft Support here it covers without me procrastination on - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928152

In short, I made this option on the link-

Method 2: Modify the default power saving power plan
Change the power setting on default battery for the wireless network adapter. Configure the wireless network adapter to use the maximum performance setting when Windows Vista or Windows 7 is configured to use the balanced power plan or the power saver Power plan. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, type Power Options in the start search box, and then click Power Options in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
Click on change settings for the plan under the management of the diet that is selected. For example, if the balance is selected, click on change settings under balanced plan.
* Click on Change advanced power settings.*
* In the Power Options dialog box, expand wireless adapter settings and then Power Saving Mode.*
* In the list that appears next to a pile, click performance, and then click OK *.

There are others who will do the same and may work better for some people, for example just to return to the power option high performance, as, if it isn't already. maximum performance for the adapter wireless network is normally by default for this.

I hope this helps someone!

See you soon

Andrea

I'm afraid I n t m understand what hear you by no display exactly?
You see the Toshiba start screen and you can access the BIOS correctly?

From my understanding this BIOS must be set to default settings (in the BIOS press F9 and F10 to save the changes) in order to obtain the same BIOS settings configured by Toshiba, then the BIOS must be configured correctly.

In General, the BSOD appears due to severe software or hardware problem.
Most often the system recovery should resolve system problems, but if the BSOD appears even after using the recovery disc, then I guess that your material is affected.

This would mean that any unique material such as memory or the motherboard needs to be tested

  • No wireless - Satellite L500-131

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L500-131. It is supposed to connect to my router via a Repeater (Edimax Wireless 802.11n Access Point). The only way I found so that it can work is to disconnect the Repeater and the router, wait 10 seconds, plug the router, then the Repeater.

I know that this is not a router problem, because I can get a wireless connection on my other laptop. The Repeater picks up the signal, but the Toshiba laptop is not just automatically connect. It worked right after that I installed the Repeater, but since then it works.

I heard that microwaves or cordless phones can ruin the signal. Is it possible for a radio to do this?
I tried to find a solution online, but it only seems to be a lot of people with a similar setup.

    Thanks for the replies!

    Hi Carangil,

What happens if you try to establish a WLAN connection without Repeater?
Make sure also that WLAN router and Repeater using the latest version of the firmware that you find on the Toshiba site.

Also, try also updating the driver WLAN. From Toshiba Web site will give you the most recent version:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Another interesting thing: is your router and the repetition of the same production? I also had a similar problem and the reason for the different manufacturers, they are not compatible set.

  • Satellite L500 - 1WG PSLS0E - impossible to reconnect wireless

    * Computer info: *.
    Satellite L500-1WG - Partnummer: PSLS0E-07502EN5

    Windows 7 Home Premium

The drivers are up to date:
-Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter version - date driver 21.06.2006 - 6.1.7600.16385
    -Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC - 30.07.2010 driver date version - 2017.2.730.2010
-Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller - 23.06.2010 - version 7.23.623.2010 driver date
I disabled the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for all 3 of them.

    * Problem: *.
When I start the pc, it connects to my wireless router as usual, but then after that 30-60 minutes it stops working. He always finds the wireless router and the signal is excellent (4-5 bars), but when I try to connect it gives me the error message that it is impossible to connect to my router.

If I restart the PC, it is always impossible to connect.

But if I turn the computer completely off and leave it for a while, it works when I start it again, which suggests that he may need to cool (we noticed that the computer is warm enough, and that the fan is spinning a lot... but that could have been the same before - just that we it has not noticed that it was not a problem)

... But if I only it hibernates and let it cool for a while, it does not work to reconnect when I start again.

I did a test earlier: I started the computer and made sure the wireless connected - then I put into hibernation and he did it again, and after that, he was still unable to connect. Then I stopped had and turned on the right now - and then it works fine.

It's the same question at the local library, but my in-laws it worked fine for 2-3 hours the other day.

My other pc that runs on Ubuntu, works without problems on our wireless.

    Any ideas?
    -Is it a virus?
    - Or my card network is not able to take the heat (material)?
    - Or is this a bug of Windows/driver (software)?

I plan to reinstall windows, but before crossing with whom I was wondering if it's worth the hassle... Is it a hardware error, and should I just go directly to the seller?

What you can try is updated the BIOS. Latest version is installed on your laptop?

Another question: where you find WLAN driver version 2017.2.730.2010?
    Toshiba's latest version 2015.1.0427.2010?

  • Satellite L500: WLan speed falls from 58mbs to 30mbs

    Hello...

My Satellite L500 works fine... but when I connect to my wireless router I get approximately 58 of the MBP and it hold around this speed, but sometimes he can fall as 1MBP or 30 MBP and then everything suddenly after 5 min back to MBP 58 of its really disruptive, spesialy reading online... (active games does not cause the drop in speed)

The wireless router has also been replaced with a brand new, problem persists... but not as often.

Speed drop do not happen anywere elsewhere, but at home, and all the other computers do not lose speed... even not and old toshiba 1998 does not lose speed...

but me, perhaps of the config problem?

-Thanks in advance for any ideas

PS: the speed does not go down with cabel, but no one like cables... So yes xD

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know if you have updated the WLan driver for the last?

    See this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
    Here's the latest Wlan driver

In addition, you must set the BIOS to default settings.
If you are using Windows 7, I recommend you disable Wlan Card in Windows 7 energy saving power management.
Last but not least go to-Wlan card properties-> Advanced tab > Device Manager and check some settings it

  • Questions on Satellite L500 - 19 X wireless

    Hey all,.

Big problem with wireless on my Satellite L500 - 19 X and have no idea how to fix this. I am currently connected to the internet via an ethernet cable, and it is far from ideal.

Basically the wireless seems to have disappeared! I had the laptop for a few weeks and it connected to my wireless network automatically and without problems.

I turned on the laptop today, and there is no trace of her at all. I checked the HW configuration utility section and it says that the wireless switch is on. I tried to press FN and F8 to turn it on, but nothing happens.

If anyone has any help, I would be very grateful because I do not know what step to take next and it's extremely frustrating in a laptop brand new.

    Thank you all.

    Hi grimaldo,.

I also have no idea how you can solve this problem, certain important information because I can t find in your ad, e. g. OS, driver version, etc.
You can add this information, please?

At the moment I can only suggest that you need to update the driver. Just check the Toshiba WLAN portal to find a new version:

  • Re: Satellite L500 - cut wire screen

Please help, when I closed my laptop Satellite L500 I smelled electrical, reopened and the screen is black.

I took it to a mechanic and he told me that he thinks that the cable/cord that connects the screen to the keyboard has stopped running through the hinges. He actually told me that he had the same problem on the same model specifications 2 weeks earlier.

He said that without opening upward and looking (which cost $250 immediately!) he couldn't be sure. My warranty missed 6 months ago. Any ideas?

    > Any ideas?
Is that there is hardware problem and should be checked. I know it's expensive, but you can try to contact other services and see if they can do the same job for less money.

You can now use your laptop?

  • Satellite L500-128 - slow connection to wireless network

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L500-128.

After I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, my laptop is very very slow at startup. He hangs on to my wireless network connection or non - wireless (no matter whether I am connected to a cable). At this point, Windows has already started, but has not loaded al my applications yet. After 1.5 minutes or so when it is connected to my network (or has decided that he cannot connect because I'm not connected to a network), it continues and all is well.

I already installed the latest network drivers. I have a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller and an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN.

Is there anyone who has this problem and fixed it?

    Hello

I had a similar problem on Windows XP... The problem is that I used my router DHCP service it takes up to 1 minute I could use the laptop. I searched a bit here in the forum and I tried to use static IP addresses instead of DHCP from my router service: the problem has been resolved! :)

Please try static IP addresses and update the firmware on your router!
