Satellite L505-13n delay keyboard - lag in claire win7 installation prob

Hello.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L505-13n I buy a week before and I clearly install windows 7 ultimate 64 bit Greek with all drivers 64-bit for this laptop that I find in the toshiba site.

I have delays major keyboard when I press a letter, this letter, start typing itself many times it stops for 1-2 seconds and continue typing.
This is the problem because under conditions normal conditions this letter and each letter or text go he must be entered WITHOUT ANY BREAK.

I check the hard drive, and has no problem.

I try to run LiveCD:
1 Ubuntu and other linux editions
2. Windows xp
3. Windows vista

and to clear formatted the hard drive try to install:
1. Windows 7 64 bit
2. Windows xp Greek sp3

The problem remains.

Please tell me what to do and I can try to solve this MAJOR problem for me.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND YOUR ANSWERS.

Retest with original Toshiba recovery image. With the settings everything should work well. If this is not the case, there must be a hardware problem.
You can try with the BIOS update, but in my opinion, it is not best idea.

Laptop is new and everything should work again.
Test it with the original recovery image without having to install the updates or other software, just clean recovery image. If the problem persists, contact the nearest Toshiba service provider to check the functionality of the keyboard.

What else can you do?

  • Cannot install updates to Windows on the Satellite L505-13N

    Hi all

I have a L505-13N and I recently changed the HARD drive. Even if I had a copy of the installation for win7 64 bit disc, there is a message at the beginning of the "set up services" that the installation could not proceed with this material...
In any case, I installed the 32-bit version that came with the laptot.

After installation, I tried to install the updates, but it's impossible. In a first time, that there was a message that the service can not started. I restarted services updates and the laptop itself, but nothing different happened. The same message.

I tried both 'fix it' packages available for windows, but nothing has changed.
I tried to install an inspection tool for installing sp1 (Windows6 1 - KB947821 - v33 - x 86) and it gives me the 0xc8000247 error message and no installation.

    I tried to install sp1 (from downloaded file - Windows6. 1 - KB976932 - X 86) directly, and it is for me a catastrophic failure with the error E_UNEXPECTED (0x8000ffff).

All this with the program antivirus-firewall disabled.

Anyone could offer a solution, because I would like to install at least sp1 (if not to receive updates!).

Waiting for your answers - proposals,.

    > Anyway, I installed the 32-bit version that came with the laptop.
I guess you used the Toshiba recovery disc that contains the image of Toshiba, including the Windows 32-bit system, Toshiba Software, tools and drivers.

Windows 0xc8000247 update problem seems to happen to other owners of Windows system, as this issue was already discussed in the Microsoft forums.

    * The 1st alternative: *.
Please, start the console (cmd.exe) with administrator privileges and run the command
    sfc.exe/scannow

    * 2nd proposal: *.
Try automatically reset the Windows Update components
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

    * 3rd proposal: *.
Updated the driver Intel "Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology."
    Restart the computer
    Check updates

Mate good luck. Hope one of these solutions could help you

  • Re: Wireless does not work on the Satellite L505-13N Windows7 Professional 64-bit

    Hello

I just got a Satelite L505-13N and upgrade to Win 7 Professional. The Wireless does not work. It seems that the driver is not yet installed.
FN + F8, that should give me the option to turn on/off Wireless does nothing and the wireless on the laptop light is lit (orange color).

    What should I do?

    Thank you

    George

    Wait a moment George.
What do you mean with upgrade? Did you do your own installation of Win7?

  • Satellite L505-13N - touchpad does not work in Win 8.1

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L 505 - 13N and installed windows 8.1.
While a lot of shortcut keys (screen, lock, sound, etc), I can't properly control the touch-pad.

Initially in Windows 8.1 where the drivers for touch-pad (Synaptics PS/2) installed.
Device Manager indicates that the device is installed and working properly but it doesn't.

I found and installed the driver package "Scrybe-64_Signed_Marketing_SGS94_UI-Synaptics_v15_2_20_C_XP64_Vista64_Win7" but I still can't use the device...

I already saw that my device is not supported for windows 8 (I wonder why?)
but I you'd be grateful if someone could propose an idea for her to wake up...

    Greetings
    Argi

The driver package installed Synaptics doesn't seem to be compatible with Win 8.1.
In the description, it says clearly: Vista 64 bit, Win7 64-bit

Maybe you should just try to install the driver for the Synaptics touchpad which was published for others, new laptop models. New notebook series supports Win 8.1 and in my opinion, there is a good chance to get the touchpad working using the Win 8.1 driver version.

Hello! I have problem with my keyboard. I don't know why, but when I write with a few keys apprear 40 with letters and numbers. Avec0 space appears the zero (0)

    CAN0 you help me please?

    Hey Buddy,

Since when have you noticed this behavior and also if you use an external keyboard? Using an external keyboard, you can determine if this hardware or software problem so I think this would be the easier and faster way to check what the problem is exactly.

  • On Satellite L505 keyboard problem

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L505 and for some a touch of reason will not work it s the last letter of the alphabet.
I can t he type for obvious reasons. I'm staying in Saudi Arabia and using a keyboard with English and Arabic letters. I'm English, so don t requires the Arabic alphabet.

Any ideas or I would return the laptop?

Hoping for an answer. Thanks Vic

    Hello

I don t think that you must return the computer laptop everything. Maybe it s just a bad setting in Windows then what keyboard input language you have in Windows?
Run you to the factory settings or other OS?

If a key or keys more n t work you need to swap the keyboard. There is no unique key, need to replace the entire keyboard, but it shouldn't t so be so expensive. Just ask an authorized service provider to get a new, and they can exchange it too. :)

  • Satellite L505-111 - Win 7 with Romanian keyboard

I'm the unhappy owner of a laptop Toshiba Satellite L505-111 (PSLS3E - 01500 year 3). A week after I bought the computer laptop (13/03/2010) I have observed that the a key on the keyboard does not work properly:

By pressing Win 7 "or" it seems that after a second key. Linux (Ubuntu 9.10), presing ' it seems that something like ".. ».

Service (Romania, Scop computers Control Service Laborator) does not recognize this unusual behavior (memo 2010-03-26). When I went to take the computer laptop (19/04/2010) I found the same behavior. Even the laptop has a Romanian keyboard, the usual r keyboard settings are used.

    What can we do?

    Hello

Have you tried to make adjustments in the settings of the clock-language-region? There you can edit, keyboard input, you can add/remove English or Romanian.
Keyboard speed, go to control panel, under hardware and sounds you will see device and printers. Click on it, you will see, hidden keyboard device. Click with the right button of the mouse, the keyboard settings is displayed. You can change the speed of keyboard settings.

    Revedere!

  • Satellite L505-13j - video delay

    Hello

First of all my laptop: Satellite L505-13j
.. and the problem: after... Let's say... a year, my videos began trolling. I tried to reinstall the graphics drivers, codecs, media players, the problem is updated on each video player.

The problem does not occur on clips viewed in internet browsers. After a few tips on the Intel rapid storage technology driver, I tried to reinstalled as well... nothing happened.

Today my last attempt to get rid of this problem didn't as I reinstalled my windows and all the films and clips continue trolling. It s not like 3 seconds to play and a second.

Anyone have any idea what can cause this and what can I do to solve this please?
    Thank you, heppi

It is not easy to say with certainty why this happens.
Maybe you should put a little more information like:

Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop (recovery image)?
What format is this movement (troublemaker)? It is avi, mpg?
Your laptop is connected to the internet when this happens?

Busy HARD disk (flashing led) when this happen?

There are many reasons why this can happen. For example, with the new OS preinstalled with automatic update of active windows, there are many activities in the background and it slows down the reading of the film. Reason for this is permanent activity HARD drive when updates will be downloaded.

Try please disable updates automatic windows, stop/end al unnecessary background processes and test it again.

By the way: to watch movies from the HARD drive, I recommend you to use VLC Player.

  • Output VGA jumps between external monitor and Satellite L505

I have a Satellite L505-144 related to an external VGA monitor via a KVM Aten 2-way switch.

Intermittently on the screen of the external monitor black background, the image will transfer to the screen of the laptop for a second before returning to the external display. This does not seem to be triggered by any particular measure of keyboard or mouse and doesn't seem to be time bound.

The keyboard and mouse connected to the KVM seem unaffected. I have the latest video bios motherboard and all the latest drivers Toshiba comes out loaded.
To test the KVM I connected a Toshiba NB200 L505, stops problem instead, replace the L505, it comes back.

The question is not performed by the presence of a second PC connected to the KVM. I have tried with a second PC on and outside, connected and unconnected, is still no change in the problem.

I spent the autour KVM cables and the problem persists and follows the L505. If I connect the L505 directly to monitor the problem disappears!
I find its a problem between the KVM and the L505.

Is there a known fix or get around it?
Is there a guarantee if I get a Belkin KVM say this question with the L505 will not happen with this material as well?

At first, I have to say that I n t believes that Toshiba offers fix for this. Toshiba doesn't support the use of third-party products part so if there are a few possible correction or bypass ATEN ought to know this.

Connect any external devices you use directly on your Satellite L505, try features and let us know f you have a problem similar or any other.

Someone could enlighten me please with a possible reason for this and what can be done?

    Thank you

It is matter of Toshiba and I can imagine that there is a problem with their database.
In any case, I don't see any problem there. At the bottom of your laptop you can find the model number and it must be xxxxxxx PSLS9E I think that this first part of the model number is so important to you.

This will help you find the right drivers on Toshiba support page.
Serial number is not so important. The only thing you can do with it is to check the State of the laptop computer and the details under http://www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails

Can you please tell me y at - it a reason, why you need these numbers?

What's new in the update of the BIOS v2.00 for Satellite l505-144

    Thank you

    Hi mate

As much as I know European Toshiba driver page does provide no details what has been changed in the BIOS.
But I found some details on the Toshiba U.S. page.
It seems that Fn + N + 1/2/3/4 function of debugging has been removed in 2.0 BIOS to avoid the abnormal behavior of the keyboard.

    Welcome them

  • Mouse and keyboard lagging

My keyboard and mouse began trolling about a month ago.  Now latency is up to two seconds at a time. They have worked well for the first 3 years. The keyboard is plugged in and that the mouse is wireless. I am running windows 7 on a desktop computer.

    Hi whatever4507,

Mouse and keyboard lagging may be system related issue or a device related issue. To determine the cause of your concerns, we suggest for your device to boot in Safe Mode and see if the delay occurs again.

You can start your PC in Safe Mode by using the Advanced Boot options. To access to your computer by pressing the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. In the display Advanced startup options select Safe Mode.

For more information about safe mode in the Advanced startup options, click here.

If you have a mouse and keyboard trolling while in Safe Mode, your concern might be the result of recent changes, you have done on your PC. To resolve this problem, we suggest you to perform a System Restore.

Follow the steps below on how to do a System Restore:

    1. In the dialog box of files and research programs on the Start menu, type "restore".
    2. In the list of results, click System Restore .
    3. In the System Restore window, click Next.
    4. Select the date and time (it should be the date and time until you encounter mouse and keyboard fill) in the list of restore points.
    5. Click Next, then click Finish.

However, if you still experience the same in Safe Mode, your concern that may result by out-of-date drivers for your mouse and your keyboard. We suggest you to manually update the device drivers in Device Manager.

For more information about how to update the drivers manually, click here.

Let us know how it goes.

  • Satellite P300D-13N and Installation of XP problems (Sata driver)

    Hello

I have some problems with my XP Downgrade.
I tried to integrate the Intel Storage Manager driver in my XP CD, but unfortunately it did not work.
Probably because I've been incorporating all THE drivers, who were available, not only who should work for my chipset.
Anyway, in one of the threads of this forum, there is a link to [THIS how-to | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm] and I think I found my problem...

[Here: http://s5.directupload.net/images/080904/2eptrpzs.jpg] is a screenshot of my (sorry to make it in German) Device Manager preinstalled Vista.
As you can see, there is no information about the Version of controller.

So my question is, WHAT chipset is built into my laptop, because it is due to the fact that Intel drivers do not work AND there is no information on any Intel-inverter speed, I have no idea, I have to integrate into the XP CD to get my XP Installation working drivers. :(

    Help :(

    Thank you
