Satellite L655-1EL impossible implementation using the battery

Nice day!

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L655-1EL computer laptop, I can't turn it - on the use of its battery, but when I plug it using the AC adapter the battery light indicator shows white and when I check it after I turn it on with AC adapter and go to the Toshiba Diagnostics tool his shows that the battery is fully charged and it is in good condition. I wonder how that happened?

Please help and thanks in advance.

Hello

What happens if you unplug the AC adapter when the laptop is running?

The laptop shut down automatically?

Do not know what could cause this but I recommend that you first update the BIOS.
If the question was still available, then you should check if the new block could help solve this problem

  • Satellite L300 - 17L - impossible to use the keys FN under Win XP

    I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 - 17L and I can't use the combination of keys (Fn + F1, F2...).
I downloaded all my drivers Toshiba s website... but nothing... all utilities... and nothing.
I use a Win XP OS

Please, if you can help me...

    Hello

As I m wrong not the Satellite L300 - 17L belongs to the PSLBCE.
You must choose this series to download driver.

I can find on the European driver Toshiba page all the necessary XP drivers for this series and as much as I know to install the * Modules * common for Win XP get the FN keys feature!

If please check this and reinstall the common Modules!

    Good bye

  • Satellite L300 PSLB0A - impossible to use the Fn & Touchpad keys after installing XP

    Hello

I just went down from VISTA to XP and setting based dirvers but there are a few problems.

    After I installed XP sp2, I installed:
    1 driver Chipset
    2 display driver
    3 sound driver
    4 Lan driver (include wireless)
5 driver Modem (it's a software modem driver for toshiba)
    until this procedure, it seems.
I installed the common module and do a restart then set up touchpad driver and Tablet touch power switch program.

But the touchpad does not work.
I also tried to install toshiba controls but he said 'It must implement the common module first' although I have implemented the common module.

Wireless Internet, sound, display are OK now.
But I can not use touch-pad and other function keys.

Can someone give me a solution for these problems?

I doubt that you can remove the common Module first because I didn t he find in Add & Remove programs.

But as Akuma suggested to install the common Modules like the first!
The common Modules is an essential application to be installed initially.

You must also update the XP

  • Impossible to use the extended battery T420 extension

It is quite disconcerting to have the laptop stop and be empty when the battery life indicator said there is more than 6 hours of life left.

My T420 has a senior 55 + and 27 ++ long battery life.  If the main battery is used to power, when the main battery reaches 0%, it will fail to pass the long battery life and die.  It's not only to stop, it will stop.  Windows don't like this.  If the computer is using the extended battery for power, it can switch successfully to the main battery when the battery reaches 0%.

There seems to be no way 'approved' to force the first laptop using the extended battery.  I got this laptop a few weeks, but in my experimentation, the laptop uses preferably the battery with the lowest percentage of all.

For normal use, long battery life load profile I programmed to stop at 95%, this will get the laptop started on right stack when the two are connected, but not help if I'm out and on the use of the main battery and want to extend by adding the long battery life.

The only method I found to force the laptop to use the battery when the main battery is low-capacity must simply remove the main battery.  Of course, to do this, I have to either stop the laptop or the put it hibernates in.  Then, remove the main battery and attach the long battery life.  Reboot the laptop.  So far, I have no problems with this method. The laptop is perfectly happy with just 27 ++ battery attached.  But if I'm going to pass the batteries, I might as well have an extra 55 ++ lying around and waive the 27 ++.

Would be nice if Lenovo could provide instructions or a software patch that would allow me to tell the laptop to use preferentially the extended battery as soon as it is available.

The way the system is designed, it's that you won't always unload the 2nd battery first, not the main battery. If this is not the case, check the switch on the 2nd battery. Make sure it is in the position "on / green.

  • Keep Satellite C55-B901 connected even when the battery is 100%

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite c55-b901, and I was wondering if it's good to keep the laptop plugged even after the battery is fully charged or not. Which would affect the battery life or it does not matter.

I also have a cooling block that keeps the freshness of the laptop.
Would you recommend that I keep it plugged in, keep using it when it is 100% and 10% only when charging and will stop when 100%, or use two meanings I like?

    Thanks in advance!

You don't have to worry about battery. You can use your laptop connected to the power adapter. What you can do is to use the battery mode from time to time. Do battery empty and reconnect the AC adapter.
You can do this in a week time.

I see the battery blue led is on even when it is fully charged and the power is connected, it means that my computer is still using the battery?

    Hello

Congratulations on your new machine, I understand that worried you´re for your battery life. I was scared too, but a lot of people here in the forum told me that, in each new machine for many years (i.e. about 6 to 9 years) almost every laptop has an electronic charge that regulates the process of charge of the battery.

Don t worry, if your battery is fully charged, the built-in charging circuit is a special State that is as "cool cool" to maintain your battery and to protect the battery.
S better to keep the battery in the machine then removing it.

    Welcome them

  • How to use the battery and the power cord in a smart way?

Is it possible to do a power management, that use the battery as long as there is power in the battery and the first when there is no more power use the external power supply, which has been active all the time without loss of battery charge?

Batteries wear out with use.  And they can wear out more when you do not use unless you physically remove them.  If you travel a lot, you will have to bite the bullet and buy new batteries every two years.  If you are usually connected to a power outlet, remove the battery and it will last much longer.  For more details, refer to the User Guide.  Different brands and models my vary in their recommendations.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite M30x-154 works only with the battery in use

I own a Satellite M30x 154 and did so for two years. Now the laptop is more fuel with just the battery in use.
It feeds well with the power adapter and the power indicator shows the batterys is full of 74%.

    Any ideas?

What to say? The battery is possibly defective. The fact is that M30 x is old enough laptop model. Everything is possible.

  • Satellite A80 135 impossible to reinstall the operating system using the recovery disk

    Hello

Ive got a laptop 2005 Satellite a80-135 that worked very well until I tried to format the HDD after a performance of Ram boost operation (kingston 1 gb Ram module).

    Just after that, the computer started showing software problems and finally crashed;
So I decided to reinstall the entire operating system yet. and here, I found the problem I really hope you can help me

The thing is that I can't format my hard drive to my cd player (with recovery CD in) when the machine is restarted.
In theory, start the Panel menu should appear after the computer reboot with the C key simountaneously key but nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance
    concerning
    jozze

    Hello

Simply, the C button the STRANGE start.
You can also try to press F12 after the laptop has been powered.
Then the start menu should appear on the screen and then you could choose the ODD (optical disc) in order to boot from the CD.

If this is not possible, the question is perhaps related to WEIRD malfunction or recovery disk.
Maybe the CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc properly and so the laptop can not boot from the disc.
You can try to copy the recovery CD using another computer and might try to start using the copied CD.
If it does not the problem might be related to the WEIRD failure.

  • Impossible to use the keys FN on my Satellite S50T-A-10Z

    H?

I have a Toshiba Satellite S50T-A-10Z. I've recently updated the BIOS. After the update, I realized that I can not use the FN keys. And also I can't turn off my keyboard background light.

Before the update, I was able to do by pressing on FN + z. help, please!

    Hello

As far as I know keyboard light can be turned off in the BIOS directly. You will find this option?
Have you tried to change function key mode in Control Panel > keyboard?
Please try to change this mode to the standard F1 - F12 (you have to press the FN button) mode and check if the problem persists.

  • Impossible to use the Satellite L350 recovery disk

I bought the recovery disc for my Satellite L350-370 followed instructions beginning now stopped program to "waiting for odd vacancies" moment for this strange worked perfectly.

Laptop only if off now and no keys work.

    Help!

I really don't understand what is happening here. I used the disc of recovery many times and I've never seen this message.
By default the BIOS settings and restart your laptop. When the laptop starts up and you see Toshiba welcome screen press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu. When the start menu is shown on the screen, place the recovery in the optical disc drive disk. After doing this choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER. What happens when you do this?

ODD must begin to read the recovery disk and you should see recovery on the screen menu.
