Hello
I assume you mean on the pinch zoom.
It an additional option of Synaptics. The touchpad settings should provide the ability to disable the pinch zoom.
Go to control panel-> mouse control
Here you must check the tabs in my case it s last tab called Advanced. Here, I have to go into the settings of advanced feature that contains more options.

Satellite L750 - how scrolling with the touchpad?
I have a Satellite L750 (my first laptop and first touchpad) running Windows 7. I put the mouse scrolling to 1 line at a time, but every time I place the pointer on the right scroll bar arrow down (and press the left button or press on) the screen pops so that the scroll bar is at the bottom. I want the screen to "inch" down slowly as if I was using a mouse wheel.
Yes, I know that the answer is probably very simple, so those people who are itching to answer don't forget I'm a 'newbie' to touchpad.
Concerning
Hey,.
You can scroll with the touchpad on the right side of it. Just move your finger upward or down on the right side of the touchpad and you can scroll with this gesture. It of not complicated and very easy.
In addition, these basic operations are described in the user manual and I recommend reading. ;)If you are not familiar with the touch pad, you can also connect an external USB mouse (mouse even as on a desktop computer). These external mice are cheap and you don't need a driver for it. Just connect it to a USB port and it of ready to use :)

Satellite U500: How to disable bell when sound level changing
Hello
I have a Satellite U500.
Anyone know how to disable the Bell whenever I change the sound level using the sound button in the "notification area" (I don't know if it's the right name for it, in any case, the bottom right part of the window).
I've been looking for a good time and have not yet found how to do this.
I thank very you much.
Thierry
Hello
Do you mean the taskbar?
It is the area on the right that shows you which applications are running and loaded. What operating system do you use? What is Vista?
If you have Vista OS and that you want to disable sound notifications then you can do this do the following:-Click on an empty part of your desktop and select Customize
-Clicks
-Choose in the program window, the task (in your case, change the audio level), which must be changed and as a model of sound, choose No sounds.
-Apply the changesSee you soon

How to disable the Zooming utility, smoothview, etc.. ?
I have a Toshiba Satellite M105-S3084 under XP. I would like to disable some of the unnecessary utilities that start at startup and take up RAM as zoom, CEEkey Toshiba utility, etc.
How can I do this? and always available for manual start?
There are many programs that delay the startup of windows. Many of them are useless, some are necessary.
The easiest way is to "prevent" to rely on their own, through Microsoft program: msiconfig.exe
To get started, follow these steps:
1) click [START]
(2) select "Run."... »
(3) type in the box where it says OPEN :---> msiconfig
A new program is displayed on your screen, in the top bar you can see the menu option "start".<--- click="" on="" it="">--->
Now, you will see a list of applications that start when your computer starts in Windows.
You can uncheck the programs that you do not want starting on their own, but do not forget to leave most needed. If you ask now, 'how can I know which is the safest to turn off?", then you should use Google
to study for you all the specific "Startup item" which is written on your laptop. Just search for it... (example: KHALMNPR.exe)
and some Web pages will be displayed telling you, it's the blah blah blah Logitech mouse driver...A final note from me: If you want to disable the programs that have parameters inside their 'permit during startup in Windows' (like SKYPE).
then you must deselect this option in this application. If you disable comes from msiconfig, it will reappear each time you
manually launch this application.Good luck
