Satellite L755 - 16L - new installation Win7 without recovery option

Hello...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L755 - 16L.
I want to re - install windows 7, but recovery option will erase everything... I don t want to use it, I saw a key at the bottom of the laptop for win 7, saying it is oa mea?

So is there a way that I could do without clear all.

Hello

Please visit http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
You will find all the HARD drive recovery facility information and accurate information which will be deleted exactly (see Note).

Product key down means that you bought laptop with preinstalled OS and valid license. This key belongs to the version of the OS preinstalled. Don t think you can use it for the activation of the operating system if you try to install the version of the OS using the Microsoft installation disc.

> So is there a way that I could do without clear all.
I put t know what do you mean under everything.
If you want to have own pre-installed OS still best option for you is to back up all important data on external device and after installing the OS, you can copy it to computer s portable HARD drive.

    Hello world

My new SPro C850-1HH came with teacher of Win7 x 64 installed and Installation of Windows 8 diskettes. To get a clean install, I reinstalled Win7 Prof x 64 leave a clean CD - Ms. I deleted all existing partitions (recovery)

Because I couldn't find any license sticker on the laptop, I backed up the existing installed key with a tool of keyfinder. Now I have the problem that online activation do not work with the key that was previously installed on this laptop.

I get the error 0XC004E003 code activation, with options to purchase a new key in line or "Speak to a technical support representative," which link is useless (it takes me to Microsoft Help and Support, from there to the Web of MS site, from there, he's running me in circles without any option to chat live or even a way to e-mail) still less a phone number).

This fresh installation method has worked on several occasions, had no problems so far with other new laptops. Can anyone help?

    > Now, I have the problem that online activation do not work with the key that was previously installed on this laptop
Many people have tried the same thing and it won't work. Original Toshiba recovery image is activated. You can install it if often you want and it will be activated each time. As far as I know that the key cannot be used for activation of some other versions.

What is strange to me, is that you find not sticker with the product key. Each laptop comes with OS preinstalled a Windows sticker on the bottom.

At the end I have to say that I n t understand why do you want to install the clean version of Win7. Original recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and tools and utilities. Use this image and remove any steep you don t like. I do the same.

    Hello

In general the BSOD is the product of the problem of hardware or software problem. To check if it of software or hardware associated with deliver its necessary to reinstall the OS and check if the BSOD will appear using the new OS preinstalled.
Of course, it s painful to do that because the recovery procedure would format the HARD drive and therefore the data backup is necessary!

I don t think that the different input voltage might affect the functionality of the laptop computer because the laptop uses the universal adapter that supports entry 100V-240V.

BSOD can be caused by faulty memory modules so I think that this test of memory could be useful also

  • Re: Satellite L755-165 - after installing WIn7 clean FN keys are not visible

    Hello.

I've just formatted my laptop and reinstalled windows 7. I was installing the toshiba drivers required with success.

My fn keys work as they are supposed to but when I press on them no visualization for their function appears on the display.

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to restore the display.

    Kind regards
    Johann

According to specification s laptop computer, your laptop came with WIN7 64 BITS HOME PREMIUM.
Is there a problem with the operating system preinstalled, or you just want to have the other version of Win7?

Sorry for this question but I don t understand why make things more complicated if not necessary.
I just hope that you created the recovery DVDs until you have installed OS own.

In General, all the drivers, tools and utilities must be installed in the right installation order. Who knows how you installed it.
What you can try is to restart flash cards using option in the start menu > all programs > Toshiba > utilities.

    Test it.

  • Satellite A300 - 1 M 1 - Format without recovery CD?

    Hello!

I have my Satellite A300 with Windows Vista for a while now, but it started to give me some problems a few days ago.

All of a sudden, windows not to load, it frozed on the windows logo screen. Because I needed to retrieve files I have installed ubunto from a cd and I was able to get the files on the trunk. Now and ever since I have this partition whenever I get to the screen where I chose the partition and that you try to start windows, a black screen and nothing happens! So I thought let's all format, but I just can't do the recovery or the terminal screen. I tried each key and the thing I could find or remember, but he still goes to the partition screen.

I lost track of my recovery that CD so is there a way I can format without the recovery CD?

    Thank you!

    Hello

If you want your only chance to return to factory settings is Toshiba recovery disc. Generally speaking, it s not a problem if you lost because you can order from Toshiba, but this service is not for free:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Alternative, you can use a normal Microsoft Windows disk. All the drivers and tools that you can get on the official website of Toshiba.

  • Satellite L550D-13V - how to recover without recovery disks?

    Hello

I had a big problem. Win 7 Home Premium 64 BIT crashed on my satellite L550D-13V.

I tried to fix it, but it does not work. So I decided to recover via HARD disk utility.
Everything seems to be okay, but ultimately the tool said that errors have occurred. I tried to get it back again, but the process aborted with blue screen "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" this time.

After reboot system told me that no bootmgr is available. I tried to start using the recovery disk, but it also seems to be defective because the system cannot boot from the disks.

And there is my problem. I cannot start / retrieve now. Volume D seems to be OK - the HARD disk utility files are still available, but I can't create a new recovery disks and it is not possible to start in disk utility.

    You have any ideas?

Thanks in advance and best regards
    Danny

    Hello

    The story is strange
I m wondering why you are not able to boot from the recovery disc?
Have you used the recovery disk created in the past or have you tried this drive for the first time?

However, with regard to the error message: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
I googled for that and it sounds like it could be linked to the fault memory.
Perhaps one of the failures modules.

Of course, this is just a personal opinion

If a HARD drive folder is available on your HARD drive, then there is a small chance of getting the recovery of HARD drive to work. Here's an interesting thread:

  • Satellite L500-128 - new installation of Windows 7 64 bit

Hello guys. I want to do a few questions

I have windows vista in my laptop and I want to do a clean install with windows 7 64 bit. I noticed the drivers are ok in the site. So here's my questions

    (a) do I have to remove the hidden restore partition or not? (configuration eisa if I remember correct)

    (b) I got 4 dvds with the toshiba recovery disk creator. If I erase each partition in the laptop how to restore my DVD? With a program in Windows or just setting the bios to boot from DVD, then the procedure is automatic? What's the first bootable dvd?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English

    Hello

one) of course, you can remove this hidden WinRE partition. If you have installed a new/other OS, this partition is useless.

    (b) you on the right. To restore the Toshiba Recovery disk factory settings you must boot from the disks. The first disc is bootable and you can boot from the installation. This happens automatically, only a few clicks are needed to confirm the installation and to create user accounts, etc.. Pretty easy and all the drivers and tools are installed too! :)

    Hello

    _Satellite pro A200-PSAE4E Windows XP_

I started having bad 'not ready' system on the STRANGE original errors. Report of Toshiba Disc Creator: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H TO01. I tried the FW update, but that did not help.

I replaced the STRANGE with a new Amazon. Report of Toshiba Disc Creator: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H SC04. The STRANGE news is listed as appropriate in the manual - it is the same model as the original. The STRANGE new works fine for normal use in XP. But when I try to use the recovery disk, it is ignored and XP always starts on the HARD drive. And when I press F12 during startup, the STRANGE news is not listed.

Can you help me get the STRANGE recognized at boot time, please?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Have you ever tried to load the settings by default in the BIOS and is it recognized in the BIOS setup? The default values of the BIOS, you can load if you go into the BIOS, press the F9 key and save & exit the BIOS Setup. Then, restart the computer and try again to start from ODD.
Can you change the boot order and set the STRANGE as first boot device?

If it doesn t help I'll try a BIOS update. The most recent BIOS can be downloaded on the official website of Toshiba.

But it s really strange the player works fine on XP, but you can start with him t

You don't need t buy Windows system again, you can order a recovery disc for this laptop here:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Then you should start from the first disc to start the recovery procedure
Then the (Windows) system, drivers Toshiba and all the tools that were pre-installed on the laptop would be installed.

    That s easier ;)

  • Reinstall Win7 without recovery partition

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 15R N5110 needs is Windows 7 OS reinstalled.  I think he might have gotten bitten by a virus, but I'm not positive about that.  The key is that there is a lot of BSODS, and sometimes when it starts up, it says that some important services running, as the event handler.

When I try to use the recovery partition after hitting F8 on startup, it cannot simply to do anything, return to the menu to start again and again.  I guess it's possible that the virus destroyed the both recovery partition.

And I have no OS CD to restore from.  I am simply out of luck?

I wouldn't, but I can * buy * a series of CD of Dell OS install?

    Sigh.

    Thank you
    Randy Stegbauer

You can request records of installation here (US only):

    support.Dell.com/.../backupcd_form

You can also download and use a 'retail' version to install and activate using your product key by phone from Microsoft (not Dell).

    www.w7forums.com/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-image-downloads-t12325.html

HOWEVER, I would test your system carefully, especially from your hard drive... what you describe could very well be a hard drive problem.  Do this before you install Windows - there is no need to install Windows on a bad drive.

  • New installation of Vista recovery drive...

    Hello
I have a laptop HP Pavilion-DV5 comes with windows vista... It has 2 drives C and d. C has windows disk and all the other stuff and D is a recovery drive with almost 8 GB of data in it. I'm new on recovery and other things and I know its possible to reinstall windows, but I want something else...

I want to install windows 7 in my C drive after FORMATTING drive C (no road of course...) and I want to keep the option of vista recovery because it is after all ORIGINAL windows... Is it possible to do? I mean what happens if I install windows 7 and when I want my windows vista back, is possible to install from recovery drive?

    Concerning

Once format you the recovery usually partition C: does not work. Better to burn your recovery disc set at onhand in case you want to roll back to Vista. Use HP Recovery Manager in your Start menu to burn the game using DVD + R, no record of rewritteable. Usually requires only 2 DVD.
