Satellite M50-182: control computer hardware - can't see CPU temp

Hello

I have the Satellite M50-182.

I installed the computer Hardware Control 1.10 Beta 02.

I can't see my CPU Temp.

Can someone help me.

Thank you

I do not know the program you are describing, but you might want to download the latest free version of the analytical tool of Everest Home Edition to OldVersion.com

When you run it look under computer/sensor. It will show you your time CPU and then you will at least know if the program or the sensor that is not working properly.

    Hello

    I have a Satellite M50-182.
Since a few days I m faced a strange problem on my laptop.

When I press the power button, it turns to blue light, as usual, I hear the fan for 2 seconds and after that the system stops immediately (I put t get any screen) and turns off.

First I thought it might be a contact isolate but the same thing happens in battery mode. After several tests the system is in place, but it can take up to 5 minutes by pressing the power button.

Y at - it an idea, that can cause this problem?
    Kind regards
    Philippe

    Hello!

Try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
    Wait at least 30-40 minutes.
Then connect the battery or the AC/DC adapter and try again.

Otherwise, I'd go to a local ASP. I think that there is something wrong with the hardware (I think that CPU or the motherboard).

    Good bye

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    Hi n m,

Boot you from the DVD to start the installation, or have you started the installation in the existing version of Windows?

I would like to know if you want to perform a new installation or an upgrade installation.

You can not install Windows on an unallocated partition, if you install vista on brand\fresh the new hard disk, you will need to create partitions on the hard disk.

Method 1:  Format the partition and then try to install Windows Vista.

Important: The applications on the computer and all data will be lost when you format (New Installation) of the partition.

Method 2: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below

Error message when you try to install Windows Vista on a computer that has initialized the hard drives: "this computer's hardware can not supported booting from this drive.

  • Computer XP can't see shared files in windows7

My original computer is a desktop like in XP. We use a wireless router for network a new laptop running windows 7. Both computers are having no problem with internet access. I'm following the instructions of network on the microsoft site to set up a home network for two computers, step by step. But the XP computer can 'see' the portable windows7, BUT cannot access shared folders or files on the laptop. I'm sure that I shared the files correctly and/or the libraries on the laptop, but none of them appear on the netowrk places. When I look at the "whole" network and go the the correct workgroup, the laptop is here, but as soon as I try to open it I get an error message. Well, I've seen and downloaded all the drivers for my laptop P200 - 16 X (PSPB6E), but... When I run the setup of Windows XP CD, it may not see the SATA drives that Vista can only do. I saw on Internet forums that we have to find the driver for the SATA controller (then press F6 on XP install...) etc... but it's too technical for me...

  • Satellite L20-182: is it possible to upgrade processor?

Hello. I have a Toshiba Satellite L20 - 182 and I want to change the CPU.
My CPU is the Celeron M 380 (1.6 Ghz), and I want to install Pentium M.
    Can I do it?
If I can, can what Pentium M I install on my motherboard?
    Please answer me.

    Sebastian K., from the Poland

    Hello

Well, in general it of not possible to upgrade the processor.
Some processors are fixed mounted on the motherboard.
In addition, the processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package). It is a permanent connection method and is used in the interest of miniaturization and heat dissipation

    Just for info:
I found some Satellite L20 units which are supplied with different processors.
    For example:
    Satellite L20-204 Intel-Pentium-M (Dothan) 750 1.86GHz
    Satellite L20-214 Intel-Pentium-M (Dothan) 740 1.73GHz
    Satellite L20-300 Intel-Celeron-M (Dothan) 370 1.5GHz

  • How can satellite M50 - what is on the disk recovery - I run

Hi, people, I have a Satellite M50 and a recovery disk, which is on the recovery disk? Y at - it windows Xp on it? Y at - it all the tools and utilities on it?, can I use it to reformat? How can I run?

    Thanks if you can answer

On the Toshiba Recovery CD, you will find a picture of Toshiba!
The image contains a Windows operating system, Toshiba drivers, tools, utilities, and additional programs like WinDVD, for example.
Using the Toshiba Recovery CD is the easiest way to install the OS on the laptop and set the notebook to factory settings

As said above the recovery CD will format the whole HARD drive. It would also be possible to erase the partitions! So be careful!

If you want to install the operating system or run the recovery CD, you put it in the drive and the start of the player. The pressing the C button allows you to start from the CD/DVD drive
