Satellite P100-425: WXP audio driver PSPAAE
Hello
Problems with sound on this laptop.
Which audio driver should be used? 2 are available, sound-xpmce-311051 and sound-xp-321052.
Also, I want to install XP SP1 first, followed immediately by the SP2. Can I install XP drivers before or after SP2?
Thanks and greetings
Hello
Usually, you have to install everything first all updates Microsoft or service pack (SP1 + SP2) and after this procedure, you must install the drivers.
The driver name says it all! Sound-xpmce-311051driver must be used on the OS Win XP MCE and the sound-xp-321052 driver should be used under Win XP Home/Pro OS.
But have you taken a look in the installation instructions document that must be placed on the page of the Toshiba driver? You must follow the order of installation mentioned in this txt file. It's important!

Satellite P100-426 - which audio driver I need for Windows 7 64 bit?
Hello
I installed Windows 7 64 bit for my P100-426. It was no problem but I can not foud a driver for the sound chip and I do not know the sound chip that is on board.
Maybe someone can help me.
Thank you very much.

Hey,.
The problem is hat for Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit are drivers available for your laptop model. I checked this on the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jspAccording to the Toshiba page your laptop has audio chip Conexant
But Conexant doesn t provide drivers directly then you will have to check again the Web from Toshiba siteI discovered that the Satellite P300 also has card his Conexant and there is a driver for Windows 7 64-bit available. In my opinion, you should try the audio driver for Satellite P300. Theoretically, this should work. ;)

Satellite P100 - problem with audio driver on Windows 7 RC
Hi all
I have an Australian original Satellite P100 P/N PSPA6A-02N021 (T7200 2 GHz, 2 GB DDR-667, nVidia 7900GTX, 1680 x 1050 display) on which I just installed the latest Windows 7 RC (Build 7100 uploaded on 6 May). After doing a clean install on a new brand Western Digital 500 GB drive, I've had trouble with no output its (error code 10) default driver Microsoft HD audo.
Because it is a new installation on a disk HARD costs there is no internet connection to research the latest updates during installation. After completing the installation, the search for an updated driver or windows update cannot locate a better driver.
I updated the BIOS to Phoenix Technologies V4.70 (drawn from the Australian Toshiba site).
I checked the audio driver which worked perfectly under Vista Business 32 running on this same laptop, and it was Conexant HD audio driver v3.18.051 (dated 04/12/2006). I got this driver on the net and installed under Win7 RC. This driver installed and working, but now I only sound from the left speaker which is very (too) low level.
What I want to know is, someone at - it else experienced this and how did you solve this problem, or that you have the same or similar Toshiba laptop and the sound works OK or is there another way to do it.
Thanks in advance.
Hello!
I m asking you want to use an OS that isn't out yet and it s only a Release Candidate...
Have you checked the sound settings on your laptop? Maybe the balance is only on the left speaker.
To be honest, I think you should wait until Windows 7 will be available and you will find more recent drivers for it, they are compatible with Windows 7.
Good bye

Satellite P100 (PSPA6A-028017) - audio driver for Windows 7
Anyone know what audio drivers to use for this model on Windows 7?
Device Manager says "this device cannot start. (Code 10) »
Drivers listed for it are drmk.sys, hdaudio.sys, portcls.sys, sysfxui.dll and wmalfxgfxdsp.dll which are listed as "Microsoft" and "Windows 7 RTM.Various instructions related to various factors (the Toshiba site and elsewhere) that none seemed to do anything.
None of the drivers on the Toshiba site for this model works.Material worked fine on XP before the upgrade to Windows 7.
Can someone tell me what to use for this chipset drivers or what else to try?
Hi Jonathan Wilson,.
I checked the page of Australian driver download Toshiba where your laptop model is listed and it seems that there is no Windows 7 driver for the moment :(
Theoretically you can also use the drivers from the European page, where you can get Windows 7 drivers for Satellite P100, model nr. PSPA6E.

Hello
you just bought the satellite. win XP Home Edition thereon.
I have finished to xp pro, but I can't get the modem and the noise at work.

Hello
Well, you have installed from the original CD of Microsoft windows and then all the drivers of Toshiba.
The fact is that, after the installation of operating system, the Toshiba drivers must be installed in the correct order. It is very important.
After the installation of the OS, you must install all MS and then the Toshiba drivers and tools.
I also found on page templates another Satellite P100 driver Toshiba: PSPA0E, PSPA3E and PSPA6E.
You should check your device and you should be 100% sure that you are using the correct drivers. -
Re: Satellite P100-160 - failed display driver installation
Satellite P100-160, PSPAAE, 32-bit vista.
Today, Aero is not working and not available in graphics properties. Later installed the site of Toshiba UK, 15.0.1.1114 Intel display driver. This version was actually older than my current driver but I thought that maybe she was the only availabel that it must be correct.
The driver installation failed with an error (no details don't just "year error has occurred"). Now, I don't have aero and my screen resolution cannot be set above 1280 x 800 - 1440 x 900 is expected
To say that I'm pisseed would be an understatement. Can anyone help? Thank you
Hey,.
If Aero is not available I think that it s display driver problem
In any case, did you remove the old display driver before installing a new? Go to Device Manager > right click on the graphics card > uninstall. After the restart the display driver must be uninstalled and you can start with the display driver installation.
If you install drivers make sure you are logged in as administrator and antivirus/firewall is disabled. Reboot once again and you should be able to choose the native screen resolution now.

Satellite P100-221: problem with driver battery composite microsoft
Hello
I have problem with my satellite p100-221! A few days ago I had problems with my audio driver (audio conexant high definition), after starting it was indicates that the pilot of his failed to initialize, I reinstaleed this driver several times and at last it was working OK, but I noticed that windows does not see the battery.
The small cell in the status bar disappeared and I can not say for how long can I use laptop with battery. Laptop works as if it is connected to the AC. In the Device Manager appeared an exclamation on the battery composite microsoft.
I tried to renew the drivers but nothing. I deleted combatt.sys and cmbatt.sys in windows\system32\drivers but they appear again. I started in safe mode deleted, but after normal start, they do not appear. I also deleted them in Device Manager, and after start-up, this device did not and do not ask me to install the drivers.
What can I do?
Hello
I noticed that you did a lot of complex changes to your device. You deleted some files, update drivers, etc..
I guess that your operating system has been enough installed and worked properly.
Windows XP supports a system restore tool. This tool allows you to roll back the OS to the beginning.
In my opinion, you should try to use this option. Maybe he'll bring your laptop at the time where everything worked correctly. -
Satellite P100-332: Upgrade HARD drive and 4 GB of RAM
Hello
I'm new to the forum...
Well, I want to change 2 things on my Toshiba Satellite P100-3321. I have 2 GB of RAM at 533 mhz and I saw on Everest, as well as on the information that I put up. 4 GB RAM 667 mhz. If I want to ask if theres no limitation about to use a special brand of RAM? Or can I use any laptop RAM to 667 mhz? I buy 2 DIMM 2 GB 667, to stay with 4 GB RAM 667 mhz.
2 - my laptop came with a 4200 RPM ATA hard drive and I want to know if I can change my hard drive to another as one with 7200 RPM SATA as a http://www.pcvonline.com/productDetails.aspx?prodID=7434 and I have not seen yet if the Board supports, but does anyone know if I can put one like this?
Hello
(1) the Satellite P100-332 RAM can be upgraded up to 4 GB and you can also use the modules of 667 Mhz because AFAIK the FSB supports 667 MHz also.
But the fact is that Windows 32-bit (Vista and XP) would see only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS.(2) the laptop supports the SATA HDD controller and this is why you must use a SATA HDD. But usually it s no matter if the HDD SATA supports the 7200 RPM. In my opinion, you should be able to use these 7200 RPM HARD drive.
Good bye
