Satellite P200 - freeze of Windows 7 with network

Hello, (sorry for my bad English)

Here's my problem:
I connect to internet wireless or ethernet card.

Windos 7 freezes:

(1) when my connection is disconnected and it reconnects or I come out of hibernation
(2) or when I'm on files shared shared network between my two computers at home
(3) when I select the network printer.

This problem happens in wifi or direct cable network.
I've not had problems with vista on the same hardware.
Everything else works perfectly on this computer, download, games, music, videos, software, etc...

The latest drivers are made (the last). I did all the tests possible and seen all that I could find on google and this is in vain!

Laptop Toshiba P200
Card: Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network adapt

Thank you in advance!

Hello

Look like there is a problem connecting with other devices;
Eventually Windows waits for the answer since the devices on your network, and so it freezes.

Just a question; do you have problems with the internet connection (LAN or WLan).
If this isn't the case, then I guess that the devices are okay and that there must be a problem of windows OS.

How about driver update?
You use the latest drivers?
Are you using all the patches and hotfixes from MS?

How about firewall and other security software? Are you sure that these programs do not affect networking?

  • Satellite Pro A300-28R - Windows startup with a wrong display resolution

OK so I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-28R with Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card.

Recently, I have connected my laptop to a TV using the S-video connection. It worked well. The problem is that since then, and every time I start my laptop Windows starts with S-video of 600 x 800 display resolution.

I tried changing the settings in the Panel and using the ATI CCC, having once selected and applied these settings, but whenever Windows starts now it starts with the above display resolution.

As a result, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled my display driver both package Toshiba value added but the same problem persists. I searched with Google about this problem and have not been able to find something useful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi dude

How did you produce the video signal?
Did you choose Office expanded or all simply the option external monitor by using the FN + F5?

I think that you need to press once more the Fn + F5 and should switch to a view, internal laptop display.

Please check if this could help you!

  • Satellite P200 - 17 c - Windows 7 Tools & Utilities Toshiba

    Hello

I have a few questions about my Toshiba P200 - 17 c, but I don't know if I should post in the forum by Satellite, the forum of operating system or Toshiba forum tools & utilities but, because my questions concern all three forums and questions directly concern the tools & utilities, I think that it can post in that?

After installing Windows 7 RC 64 bit, I have about all 64 bit versions of the Toshiba software that are available for my P200 - 17 c and put aside some questions have installed, all Toshiba and Windows 7 RC 64-bit software seem to work very well on my laptop.

Installed utilities: silent acoustics, assist, chipset utility, config free, dvd player, Decoder driver, support of flash cards, flash media, configuration hw, LAN, modem, SD utilities, sound, TEMPRO, Touchpad, * logical device added value *, webcam, wireless network.

The questions I have are as follows:

The six media buttons just above the keyboard that are the internet button press CD/DVD, the button play/pause, stop, rewind, fast forward.

    Toshiba/Utilities/HW Setup

With regard to the first question - the media buttons - apart from the 'Internet' and ' CD/DVD"buttons, the other l' autre quatre four buttons work when Windows Media Player is launched, but I would like the internet and CD/DVD buttons to work. With the 64 bit OS, whether Wista or Windows 7, Toshiba have a download called "Value-added peripheral logic" they say in the info "is a dll which is needed to get all the features of the Toshiba tools works. During extraction, the d/l includes three files and you right-click the INI file and choose install but you get a message saying the operating system does not support this method during installation, so I can't get the files installed in Windows 7. Does anyone have an idea of how I can get these files installed, or exactly what files in Windows 7, they have to go?

With regard to the installation of HW, when you launch it from the desktop, it works well, but on the tab "BOOT Priority", there is no option to BOOT. Once again, nobody knows why I have not here boot options and how do I get my boot options to appear there?

I tried to customize the 'internet' button using "support button" at the top right of the screen, but when the window opens, there are target path description fields, option, and touch the name, I can insert the target path for IE8, but I'm not sure what to enter in the fields dexscription and option and the name field "drop-down" button has no name of button in it (the field is (empty).

I tried to reinstall the software VAP but that makes no difference.

I realize the Windows 7 is still unfinished, but all other Toshiba utilties work well if all help in obtaining these buttons to work in Windows 7 would be greatly appreciated.

    Concerning

    Dave

    Hello Dave

Until Windows 7 is still in beta and not officially on the market of Toshiba and, in my opinion, any other laptop manufacturer will offer no support for Windows 7.
I think that some tools or utilities work well, but it's nothing but luck.

All the tools and utilities must be prepared and tested for the new operating system. When you download PPV there must be chosen in OS and you can download for Vista only. So, if some work tools are nice, but if it is not nothing you can do. Just to wait, like me and many other people who have installed Windows 7 for testing purposes.

  • Satellite P200 freezes after 5-10 min and need multiple restart to work properly

Sorry in advance for my low level in English because I'm french...

My p200-1 has a strange problem:

Every day when I start a new session, it works fine (the start until office) and I started working.
After 5-10 min, windows vista (ultimate) freeze and I need to stop/restart time course and finally the success until the office.
Sometimes I need to boot into safe mode without network and wait for 5 min office

It seems that somewhere or a piece of the laptop must be hot to function properly (something weird maybe)

I cleaned the air dry windows fans without improvement. I bought new memories of toshiba in france and the problem is still there. Hard drives are ok (scanned and tested)

The warranty ends in January so...

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Thank you

    Hello!

Have you cleaned the laptop with a jet of compressed air? This could blow the dust from the cooling fans and therefore you should not disassemble the laptop.

I m not sure but it could also be a software problem. You have reinstalled the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery disk?
This disc contains the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools. And you can determine if it s a hardware or software problem.

    Good bye

  • Re: Satellite P200 - no picture DVD playback with the playback of DVD Toshiba Software

    Hello

I usually watch DVDs with the Toshiba software that has been bundelled with my P200 I bought last year.
However, the image is no longer displayed.

Sound is OK, as well as the control system, but the real picture is black.
I thought that the player might be at fault but DVD works fine in Windows Media Player.

All are in the correct region and DVD which I played before without a problem.

    I have tried rebooting etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Richard

    Hello

Have you tried to install the most recent DVD player software or update the old one?
    You should do this!

As far as I know the new DVD player tool was released and it s placed on the European driver Toshiba for the download page.

    Check it!

  • Drivers sound and graphics for Satellite P200-1EE and Windows XP

    Hi all

I just bought a new Sattelite P200-1EE. I had downgraded it to Windows XP Service Pack 2. Vista.
    I have two problems:

    1. I can't find the graphics driver for the ATI Radeon Mobility HD2600 for Windows XP. When I hit the link,
I get a "cannot connect to the remote server.

    2. I can't get the audio driver to work. In fact, I see even the sound card. Fakhreddine there something else I need to install?

    Thanks for any help

    With regard to the point;

    (1) looks like a pilot server optionally publish server maintenance guys. I would recommend this review in the coming days.

    (2) first of all, you will need to upgrade the XP to the last State. All MS patches for XP must be installed. Are very important, these patches; KB888111 and KB835221. You must install these patches before installing the audio driver.

    Best regards

  • NVIDIA 8400 GS display freezes driver Windows 7 with BSOD - please help

    Hello

I have a desktop HP Pavilion Elite m9040n. I've upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit about 6 months ago. It works fine, but the last few weeks that my PC keeps freezing with the display driver to crash. The last update of Windows or Adobe Flash player could have caused it? I tried different versions of the Nvidia Windows 7 display driver without success.

    Any suggestions?

I replaced my graphics card to an ATI Radeon HD 4350 (I got to use it and could not go higher because of the restrictions of electricity in my PC motherboard) and all the problems have been resolved. Just an info.

  • Upgrading Toshiba Satellite PRO C for Windows 8 with DVD

    Hi all!

I tried to upgrade to Windows 8 PRO with the DVD provided with the laptop but cannot achieve this goal.

I made the changes in the BIOS as the said document (CSM boot for a UEFI boot and enable Secure Boot), started the laptop with the DVDs, but after running for a while, it stops and show a message saying something like there is not enough space in partition to write the image o something like that. Sorry because I don't have the exact message. Any ideas on this subject?

Fortunately, I did the DVD to recover for the restoration of Windows 7, but I would like to run Windows 8 in the laptop.

    Kind regards.

    Javier.

If I m not wrong not the message means that the partition does not provide sufficient space to install the system Win 8.

I think you need to format the partition before you begin the installation of the system.
This option should be given during the installation of the OS, I can not say with certainty what stage should provide this option, but this should be asked at the beginning of the installation

  • Satellite P200-having problems of Bluetooth with USB BT dongle

I have a P200-1EE running Vista, with all current updates.
I deleted by mistake my Belkin Mini Bluetooth dongle without disassembling.

Since then, although I can always send requests printing for my C5380, and it prints no problem, I am now an error message saying that the BTTray service will not start.
I tried in vain to connect my Galaxy S mobile to the computer, and I wonder if this is the reason for this?

What I need to download the Toshiba web site to repair this?

    > I have the disk installation for the laptop, if this repairs a damaged installation or he only moved from scratch?
The recovery disk would fix the laptop back to factory settings, that means that your disk should be formatted and all partitions will begin again.

To be honest I have not quite sure what's wrong with the external BT dongle, but the fact is it worked until you remove the dongle before canceling the service m

Usually, this shouldn't be a big problem, but of course, the system has been confusing upward.
You can try together the BONES date back to the time point may start to help this issue allows you to see, but recover disk should be the last option

  • Satellite 230cx - restoration of Windows 95 with no CD player

    Hello

I have an old Toshiba Satellite 230cx (http://resource.toshiba-europe.com/europe/computers/flyers/satellite/satellite_230_e.pdf).

I want to give it back its original factory configuration, I have the disks in the system and the driver, but unfortunately do not have the cd player - only the floppy drive.

None of my external hard drives of modern USB can connect to it (USB 1 or 2 question?) nor any Flash DRIVE I own.

Can anyone recommend a way to do this? I have considered buying a PCMCIA external CD drive, but want to ensure that I will be able to start with some device I have the restore disc on?

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

Wow this is really an oldie
According to the circular that you posted your message above, the Satellite 230CX supports a select Bay, this means that you could replace the floppy with a compatible CD/DVD player drive.

The laptop seems to bear the type II and PC card type III PC card slot, so you should be able to start this slots too.

You should check this in the BIOS if this option is available

  • Satellite A100 freezes after Windows messenger installation

    Hello

I downloaded a new version of Windows messenger, shortly after I received this message from Dr watson postmortem debugger.
I have never seen anything like this before.
When I went to check the details of what the model froze, I used cont alt + del and end of the task came.
The only thing I could do was turn he took not stop it's frozen, I tried again and I get the toshiba screen then a few minutes loading desktop icons.
The icons disappear so that they appear again, it won't let me do anything anyone can help, thanks a lot.

    Hello

It seems that the Microsoft Messenger is responsible of this gel! Dr. Watson appears because this is a debugger for Microsoft Windows.
If Dr. Watson is running and a Windows application crashes, Dr. Watson creates a report containing technical information that can help developers to determine what caused the application to crash.

You talk like a beginner with internal Windows not much experience. If you are not able to start the operating system in the right order, I advise to use the recovery CD Toshiba for the new installation of the OS. This should help you to restart the laptop.

  • Satellite P200-P100 - black screen after an update of Windows 7

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P200-P100 running Windows 7.
A few weeks ago after an update of Windows 7, my monitor would not show any image, that she lit up, but still no picture. Not even the BIOS it will appoint.

I fixed it by using the system restore using a different monitor. The same thing happened again today, I must have ran the same update, but this time a system restore does not, any more than to reinstall Win 7.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you
    Spre3

    Hello

You mean you don't see anything about internal or external monitor, even switching of the output of the screen by pressing the FN + F5 buttons?
Hmm. in my opinion has nothing to do with the Windows 7 update

I mean the update/install of Win 7 OS should not affect the BIOS and you should be able to access the BIOS, even if no operating system is installed on the HARD drive!
So I guess the question could be linked to the question of the motherboard or some parts placed on the motherboard

    Have you tried that?
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter
Then wait a little (1 hour) and then reconnect the two parts.
Then try to turn on the device

If this will not help the RAM modules must be verified.

  • Installation of devices under windows XP on Satellite P200 - 14H

    Hello

I recently bought by Satellite P200 - 14H. It came with Vista home and because the CAD software that we use in our society does not work on it, we installed WXP on this. Everything works fine, we got the system almost entirely functional, 99% of drivers, but in Device Manager, I have yet 2 devices that are not installed:

    1 PCI memory controller
    2. video Controller (VGA Compatible)

For the controller memory PCI I tried almost everything and I think that does not recognize software catalyst ATI mobility radeon 2600 HD because of this (I get an error "no compatible hardware found on your computer".
Anyone know how to fix this? I need to send this laptop with a Builder on the ground next week, and it can't go like this...

    Thank you

    Hello

If you need video drivers, try these sites:
