  Win XP drivers are OK but your laptop was equipped with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics card and the driver on the page supports only Mobility Radeon HD 34xx/36xx chips graphics!

  Seems the specifications listed on the page are not entirely correct.
  Satellite P300-1GK supports TV-out but NOT s-video and Composite port!

  In addition, HDMI port output is available to connect the laptop to an LCD HDTV.

  You can install Linux without losing the warranty. Toshiba doesn't support Linux on this laptop, but you can install it of course.

  Go to the Device Manager and check if the Express card is installed properly, or if its an error.

  You must update the BIOS with the latest version. BIOS updates can sometimes solve problems like this.

  And make sure you have XP Service Pack 2 or 3 installed.

  As far as I know the HARD drive is placed on the right side of the laptop.
  I think it's on the same side where the reader is placed.

  1. turn the computer.
  2. remove the screw of the cover of the HDD location and remove the cover.
  3. remove the screws fixing the HARD drive ASSY.
  4. hold the HARD drive door handle and remove the drive HARD ASSY.
  5. remove the screws that attach the HARD drive.
  6 detach the HARD drive from the HARD drive support.

  That's all
